A Surprise fit for a Princess...A Pre-Trip Report

I added it awhile ago. It's just tentative dates for now. I just had to have a ticker! My signature felt so empty without it!

Hi Meghan,
That is funny. I wish I could add one too! I want to take a crusie and go somewhere warm, before heading back to dinsey again.
Hope you are staying warm, I dont think we are ever getting warm weather her on the east coast.

Catching up on my TR reading - this is great Meghan! I really should get cracking on mine. It will be bittersweet to relive it, but it was so much fun!
You have some awesome pictures!

Meghan - I think we were at the Laugh Floor with you!!! I remember them saying that same thing and going to a picture of someone with the Minnie ears!!! Oh, we were so close!!!!

It's supposed to be in the mid-50's today! Madison wanted to be in the St. Patrick's day parade today but changed her mind. It really wouldn't have been too bad of a day. I'm kinda glad though because I really didn't feel like walking in the parade with her surrounded by people who had a bit too much to drink.

It is a lot of fun to relive the trip. I really love sharing my pics with everyone.

Oh my goodness! That's so funny!

Sorry it's been so long! Time has just been flying by and I've been so busy. So...here's an update for you!!!

Animal Kingdom

January 27th

We were all pretty excited for our AK day. We had never been there before and couldn't wait to experience it together. We arrived around 8:20am and there was hardly anyone waiting. We were probably 2nd or 3rd in line. We only had to wait about 15 minutes or so until they let us in. We then headed towards Africa to ride the safari.

We just had to stop for our first picture with the Tree of Life!

We were right at the front of the pack for rope drop. The little 'show' they do is so cute!!! Anyways....once that rope dropped we walked briskly towards KS. There was absolutely no wait and we were probably the 4th or 5th safari of the day. (I did take pictures, but they're really not worth posting. Besides, I didn't upload them to photobucket!) Being up close to the animals was amazing! Madison really enjoyed it. She's a huge animal lover!

After KS, we did the Pangani walking trail. It was very nice, but a little chilly that morning. We didn't wear our jackets that morning because it was going to be super warm that day. Well, I didn't know that the walking trail was so shady! Every time there was a patch of sun, that's where I was. I did not enjoy the bats very much, but I really loved the gorillas!!! After our walking adventure, we decided to go to Camp Minnie/Mickey for FOTLK. We only had to wait about 10 minutes before they let us in. We had our pick of seats which was very nice. But, there were about 4 or 5 Brazilian tour groups at our show. Before the show started, they were chanting, stomping their feet and trying to do the wave. The CM's repeatedly asked them to stop, but they just wouldn't listen. I thought that was very disrespectful. Anyways.....the show was absolutely amazing! I found myself tearing up a bit. If I worked for Disney, that is the show I would want to be in!!!! The costumes, the dancing....everything was spectacular!

Not the best picture I've ever taken, but I still love it

Upon leaving the theater, Madison just had to get her picture taken with these two!

Madison wasn't interested in seeing the other characters since she already had their autographs, so we headed toward Asia. We took a few pics along the way.

I like how you can see the 'train' going up Everest!

Tony and I took turns riding EE through the single rider line. It was absolutely amazing! We both had a great time.

After EE, we headed towards Dinoland and picked up some FP's for Dinosaur. We were getting pretty hungry so we went to Pizzafari for lunch. It was ok. We actually had better pizza at Pinocchio's! After lunch, Tony and I took turns riding Dinosaur with our FP's. There was no way we were bringing Madison on it. She likes dinosaurs and we didn't want to ruin that. We then decided we would try to make it to the Nemo show. We got there right as they were about to close off the line! Yea! We sat way in the back, but we could see just fine. It was such an awesome show. We all really liked it.

We had missed the Maharaja jungle trek on our initial trip through Asia, so we had to go back there. Tigers are Tony's favorite animal. We needed a little snack so we stopped to get ice cream. The CM there said the ice cream was on the house if Madison could identify the animal in the picture he had. Well, she didn't know what it was, but he had her repeat after him (it was an impala). So, we all got free ice cream!!! Madison had a Mickey bar, I had a Mickey ice cream sandwich and Tony got a frozen banana. The CM said he had been waiting all day to give away a "magic moment." It really made our day! We hit the ice cream cart up at the exact right moment. We were the only ones there for awhile but once we got our ice cream, a huge line formed! It is definately a moment we will never forget.

After we enjoyed our ice cream, it was off to see the tigers. They really are such beautiful animals. By the time we got done with that trail, it was around 3pm. We had seen everything that we wanted, so we decided to head out.

One last pic with the beautiful tree!

Once we hit the parking lot, we had totally forgetten where we had parked!!! This is so unlike us. I thought we had parked in the 4th or 5th row, but Tony thought we were in the 1st or 2nd row. Well, we walked up and down every single row in the first section (except the first two) and we couldn't find the car. Well, I should have listened to my DH because he was right. Our car was in the very first row!!! After all of that walking on the hot parking lot pavement, we headed back to the hotel for a nice swim. Tony and Maddie did most of the swimming. I wandered around taking pictures of the hotel. After we were refreshed, we headed to International Drive for some dinner. We ended up eating at Bahama Breeze and it was excellent! After dinner, we were super tired so it was off to bed for us. The next day, we had our early morning ADR at CP!!!!!

Great update, Meghan! Love the PP pics you got, you guys take great pics!! Madison looked so cute in her pink shades!!:cutie: Never done EE before, how was it? Can't wait to try it on our next trip!! And btw, great idea for not taking Madison on Dinosaur!!! We didn't know anything about it last year (when our oldest was 4) and walked up to check it out and the CM told me he'd be fine...so we rode.....it was the worst ride to ever take your baby on!!!!:scared1:He cried and screamed and kept asking me when it would be over...I just kept telling him to close his eyes and it would be over soon....I felt like Mother of the year that day!!! But we had no idea!! He was big enough, the CM said he'd love it, so we did it!!!!!:sad2: Oh well, you live and learn......

I'm so glad you had a "magical moment"! It doesn't have to be a huge thing to just make it special!

Glad you updated! Madison looks so adorable in her sunglasses and headband! We love the shows at AK too, and what a great treat with the ice cream! Good call on Dinosaur, it scares my sister terribly and she's 33! My son loves dinos too and will only be 5 on our next trip, we will be skipping this ride for him as well! Can't wait to hear about your breakfast at CP!! We LOVED breakfast there on our last trip!

We really enjoyed our first visit to AK. It's such a beautiful park. Next time, I'd love to really take our time and enjoy all AK has to offer.

Hi everyone! I hope to post an update sometime this week. I'll have one up by Monday at the latest (don't hold me to it!). I've been quite busy lately and I'm also trying to take care of my latest injury. Yes, I have an injury. As you know, I'm on a dance team. While dancing at my game on 3/21, I hurt my right knee. I woke up the next day and it was throbbing! So, I got it looked at and it was a combo of things. The back of my knee hurt because I tweaked my hamstring. The side of it hurt because it was inflamed. I basically have no cartiledge left in my knee due to dancing my whole life. So, I'm trying to rest it, ice it and I'm taking some anti-inflammitories (aka Motrin). So....I've been hobbling around a bit and trying not to dance so hard. It's torture! I LOVE to dance and it's very hard to take it easy. Anyways....I'll be updating soon!
