A Surprise fit for a Princess...A Pre-Trip Report

That really was a fantastic day. When we were at MK in early Jan SM was running with the lights on, and I decided not to do it. We went through TTA, and it just looked...sad. I can't wait for the rehab, we're coming back in Nov., and my lil' coaster junkie cannot wait to ride it!

Maria

I'm very excited for the rehab of Space Mtn. My parents and little sis are in Cali right now and they went to Disneyland on Sunday. My little sis said that the new and improved Space is outstanding! No more sitting in a line!!! You now sit two by two, which I like much better. She's said it's much darker and they play cool/creepy "space" music! I can't wait!

Wonderful update Megan! Love all the pictures, I can feel the warm sunshine through the pictures.

Where did you get that Guide to the magic book? Who wrote it too? I am looking for one, and can't find it so far.

Hello loyal readers! Sorry I've been gone so long. I've been so busy. Who said it was ok to be the end of April already?! Time is just flying by. I do plan on getting an update up for all of you today. It's almost over!:sad1: But, there is good news in my future. If you don't already know what I'm talking about, take a look at my brand spanking new ticker!!! I promise to fill you all in soon! :goodvibes

DHS

January 29th

In our typical fashion, we arrived at DHS around 8:30am. The lines to get in weren't too bad, but we did see a lost little boy who couldn't find his mother. This really shook me up! An adult in line brought the little boy up to a CM. Quite some time passed before I even saw an upset mother. Even when I saw her, she wasn't in a panic! I would have been a wreck if I had been separated from my child! Anyways......Once inside the park, Tony rented a locker (of course) and Madison and I went to watch the morning show. It was very entertaining.

Another beautiful day in Orlando!

We followed the crowd going towards TSM. Once we got there, the lines for the FP's were crazy, but I got in one anyways. I believe we received a time for 10am-11am. Once I got the FP's, we hopped in line. I believe we waited around 30 minutes or so. It went by quickly though because waiting in that line is so much fun!

This was the best pic I could get. There were people everywhere!!!

Viewmasters were one of my favorites as a child

Mr. Potato Head

That ride is such a blast! I rode with Madison and we had so much fun! We just couldn't stop laughing. When we were done, we went across the way to get in line to see Woody. We were the 2nd family in line and I think it was around 9:45am. It opened at 10am, so we hung out and talked about how much fun we had just had!

I also snapped some pics

We were in and out of there in minutes!

Our good pals Woody and Buzz. Afterwards, we did TSM again with our FP's and Madison rode with Tony this time. Still a blast!!

We decided to head over to Sunset Blvd and we got some pics along the way.

Can you tell it was a bit windy?

Nothing says vacation like a man in a construction vehicle!

We've never seen Lilo and Stitch, so I don't know what's so scary about him

Oooo...the Tower of Terror!!!

We grabbed some FP's for ToT (for Tony and myself) and then Tony rode RNRC in the single rider line. It didn't take long at all, so then it was my turn. I get to the top of the line without a problem. Once I was there for a few minutes, the ride decided to break down. That's right. I've never been on it before and it breaks down! So, they make everyone get out of line. Bummer!!!

We were pretty hungry, so we decided to get lunch at Rosie's Cafe since we were right there. I had a burger, Madison had chicken (I think) and Tony grabbed a turkey leg. He didn't really like is so much. After lunch, Tony rode ToT first. I needed to digest a little bit before I plummeted over and over. Then, it was my turn. I was excited, but nervous. It was my first time on this ride and I had to go all by myself. It was AWESOME! By the time we finished dropping a million times, my legs were shaking! Madison didn't want to see Beauty and the Beast, so we started walking towards the Backlot. On our way over, we saw a Green Army man!

I love these guys!

We stopped at the Honey I shrunk the kids playground very quickly. That place makes me nuts!!! We then got in line for Lights, Motors, Action. Madison absolutely loved it!!! I must admint, it was pretty cool, but I don't need to see it again. After the show, it looked like it was going to rain, so we booked it over to the Muppets. We got in right before they closed the doors. Yea! I do like this show, but I've never seen it so empty! After Muppets, it sprinkled a bit and we ran into Sheree (MNdisneygirl) and her family again. This time, we took a picture.

I was so excited that we ran into each other again.

The rain started to pick up a bit, so we ducked into Pizza Planet. Madison played a game or two while we decided what to do next. We trotted over to the Great Movie Ride. We waited about 20 minutes and I didn't understand why. Once we were inside our car, I knew why. They were only filling up one at a time! The car in front of us was completely empty! Not cool. When we exited, we noticed it must have poured! Everything was soaked. We then decided to give Star Tours a try. I hadn't been on it in years, and we figured Maddie would be ok on. She actually liked it very much, so that was good! When we got emptied out into the gift shop, it was packed. That was due to the fact that it was pouring!!! We hung out in there while we decided what to due. Tony thought we should leave and not worry about our ADR and H&V. We had the Fantasmic pkg and we didn't know if they'd have the show or not. We bought an umbrella (we didn't bring ponchos and we were not about to buy them for $8 apiece) and moved as quickly as possible to H&V.

We checked in a bit early and got seated rather quickly. The food was just ok but the desserts were excellent. After dinner, it was still pouring. We decided to go to the locker and see how we were feeling. Madison was cold and wanted to go back to the hotel. Tony got aggravated because we had just paid WAY too much for an ok dinner and we weren't even going to use our voucher. He was right. We should have left before dinner. Oh well! So, we decided to head out. We didn't want to sit through Fantasmic in the rain.

When we got to the hotel, we did our 500 piece puzzle that we had bought at MK the day before. It was pretty tricky, but fun. In case you're wondering, RNRC was up and running later on and I did get to ride it! How awesome is that ride?! It was a blast!

I really hope you get a chance to see Fantasmic in June. It's such a fantastic show!!!! Can you tell me more about H&V?

H&V is a buffet and I know there are characters there for breakfast (not sure about lunch), but not dinner. I think it's the Little Einsteins. We ate there because it was one of the options for the Fantasmic dinner pkg. It's cute inside like an old dinner kind of feel. The staff was great, we just weren't thrilled with the food. It was just ok, nothing special. However, the desserts were out of this world!

We hope to see Fantasmic this time, but as of right now, it's only going to be offered one night while we're there. We don't want to do the pkg this time, so we'll just chance it.

I love your report! I'm not too far away either :)

And it's cracking me up to see your husband in a different Buffalo sports shirt (mainly Bills, but I did notice the Sabres in there) every day. And you and your daughter in Disney. I see where your priorities lie :rotfl: (Btw: I'm an Eagles fan, tell him good luck with T.O.! HAH!)

Madison is so cute.

The green men look scary, i think its the fact you cant see there face.

Way to go to Disney for your birthday:) That's super:) I should be envious, but I know that is a sin and I am going in August...do another TR for us please?? :)

I was laughing at him while he was packing all those Buffalo shirts. He got some attention from some CM's though which was cool. We met some CM's from around here and one guy even talked to my DH how he met Jim Kelly while he was at WDW with his family a few years ago. As for T.O.-I'm not excited about him, but a lot of people are. We will have to wait and see what happens!

Yes, you can't see their faces, but I still like them. They don't talk, but they're very friendly.

I'll talk more about my upcoming plans once I finish my TR. I'm considering another TR since it's a birthday trip and all! I'm very excited but I only have 2 months to plan!

Toy Story Mania looks like so much fun! My son is just going to love it! Glad you got to ride TOT and RnRC! They are two of my faves! Sorry the meal wasn't that great, that restaurant has never sounded great to our family either. You guys always take great pictures too!

OOoooo, and a new trip too, yeah!!
