A Surprise fit for a Princess...A Pre-Trip Report

Great report! I am enjoying it!!

After we had stopped at each country, we went to our locker so we could change into our jeans and hoodies.

Are there lockers in all of the parks? How much are they? We head out tomorrow and I am thinking it would be nice to put sweatshirts, etc. in the lockers for the evenings!

TIA!!

Thanks for reading! There are lockers in each and every park. I don't really know how much they are because that was always my DH's job! :rotfl: I know that you get some of the money back once you return the key.

Hi Meghan!

Just wanted to say that I'm enjoying your TR very much! Our stories sound so similar. I'm 25, married, and have a 7-year-old DD.

Your DD is adorable! Look forward to reading more...

 Meghan,
DD got it through softball one time. We both cryed getting the nits out.
My Mom always swore buy washing your head in vinger, when you heard somone had lice. So sorry, your poor DD!

Hi everyone! I'm getting ready to post a new update. Sorry to keep you all waiting! I've been crazy busy in every single area of my life lately. Post will be up shortly!

MK day!!! I was so excited! We arrived around 8:30am and had no wait for the monorail (I adore riding the monorail!). There was a good sized crowd waiting to get into the park, but I wasn't concerned. We saw the morning show which I hadn't seen in ages! "Good Mornin" is one of my FAV songs!

100_0421.jpg

It's the best picture I could get. That guy's head kept getting in my way!

Once the show was over, we made our way down Main Street. We had to stop and get some photos!

image057.jpg

I love my Minnie headband!

image062.jpg

I like how they got the trolley in the shot. Perfect timing!

After our photo shoot, we started to head towards the castle and go to Fantasyland. Well, right as we were approaching, they stopped allowing people to walk through the Castle! So, we had to take the long way over by Sleepy Hollow. I'm sure glad that we did because as we rounded the corner, there was the Fairy Godmother! A character I had never seen before!

100_0423.jpg

We then headed to Dumbo. On our last trip, the line was always so long that Madison never got the chance to go on it. So, Tony hopped into line with her.

100_0425.jpg

I then waited awhile and got into line as well. It worked out quite nicely! Once they were done riding, he passed her over to me and we only had to wait one more ride!

100_0429.jpg

After we had our Dumbo fix, we grabbed FP's for Winnie the Pooh. It was around 9:45am by this time and we decided to go over to Toontown. We just HAD to see the Fairies! On the way over, there was no line for the Mad Tea Party, so.....Tony and Maddie rode it while I went over to Toontown to join the crowd that had started to gather. While I was waiting, a woman noticed my LGMH! Cool! We chatted for awhile (I don't remember her name!) until my family came over and joined me. Once they let us in, it was a mad dash!!! I was practically pulling Madison! We only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for our turn with the Fairies.

image067.jpg

Madison and Iridessa...she was so sweet! She greeted us at the door, took Maddie's hand and let her over to her spot.

Maddie and Tink

You KNOW I had to get in on the action. Tink's my girl!

Madison and Silvermist

After our wonderful experience at Pixie Hollow, we went back to Fantasyland. We then rode Snow White while we waited for our FP time for Pooh. When we were done with our "scary" adventure, it was time for Pooh. We then grabbed FP's for Peter Pan and rode Small World. By this time, we were hungry for lunch and Pinocchio's had just opened. Maddie got the kids pizza with grapes and carrots and Tony and I shared a pizza and salad. It was all very good. After lunch, we used our FP for Peter Pan. I sure do love that ride!

We then headed over to Liberty Square to ride the Haunted Mansion. Madison enjoyed looking at all the grave stones. Especially Madame Leota's! I covered her eyes at the very end of the stretching room. I knew she'd get freaked out! She enjoyed the rest of the ride until we stopped in the graveyard. We were there for a few minutes, but we were right in front of one of those heads that repeatedly pops up. Not fun! Afterwards, we headed to Frontierland. We grabbed FP's for Splash Mtn and then went over to Country Bear Jamboree. Madison didn't like it! I know it's old and all, but it's cute! Oh well! I guess we won't have to sit through it again for awhile. Once the show was over, we went back to Splash. Madison said she wanted to go on it, so we did! Well, it was not a good experience. After the first little drop, she was crying and saying that she wanted to get off. I felt so bad! The picture was just heart breaking. Her poor little face!!!

After we had traumatized our poor little princess, we went over to Adventureland.

image087.jpg

We saw a line and it was for Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. So, we got in line. Boy oh boy did Madison have fun! She was wearing a Tink tank top (as was I) and they did not approve! Captain Hook handed Mr. Smee her autograph book like it was a piece of stinky garbage. He pointed at her shirt and held his nose. It was great!

Look at that little smirk on her face!

con't in next post....

After all the fun we had with Captain Hook, we needed a snack. Dole Whip time!!! My all-time FAVORITE treat at WDW. Tony and I each had a Dole Whip and Madison had a huge lollipop. We bought it for her after her bravery on Splash Mtn. Once we were refreshed from all that pineapple goodness, it was time for some rides. There was practically no wait for Magic Carpets so off we went. Yes, we did get wet from that pesky camel. After that, we went to the Tiki Room. I sure do miss the old show. I'm not a big fan of having Iago and Zazu in there. Madison loved it though. Then, it was off to Pirates. On our last trip, it was closed because they were adding Capt. Jack. I was so excited to see him in there! Madison didn't like the drop at the beginning but loved everything else. That Capt. Jack animatronic is amazing! The Jungle Cruise had quite a wait and no more FP's so we went to Tomorrowland.

On our way over, it was time for some more pictures.

I love this topiary!

image097.jpg

I think this might have to be our Christmas card this year! I love this picture.

The first thing we did was grab FP's for Buzz. Then, we got in line for the Laugh Floor. My mom and sis had told us about it and I couldn't wait. We decided to text a joke while we waited. The show was very funny and then it was time for jokes from the audience. Ours got picked!!! Madison was so excited. Oh yeah. I also got shown on the screen. The monster on the stage was talking to a little girl with the same kind of headband as Madison's. He asked why she had picked them and she said she didn't know. He said, "It could be worse. You could have 4 ears." And there was me. Sitting in the audience with my prized Minnie Mouse headband on. So embarrassing!!!! After we got our laughs in, it was time for Buzz. My DH beats me so badly on that ride! It's so not fair. Anyways.....we then decided to ride the TTA (it will always be the people mover!). While we were riding, we noticed that Buzz Lightyear was out. We made our way over to him once we got off.

100_0445.jpg

We grabbed more FP's for Buzz and then headed over to Cosmic Ray's for dinner. It's a tradition that we eat there on every trip and it's always for dinner. I got a pulled pork sandwich, Tony got a burger and Madison got chicken. It was all great. After dinner, it was time for Buzz again. By this time, it was getting chillier so we made our way to our locker. We got changed and grabbed a spot at the beginning of the parade route. The park was starting to get crowded. It was an EMH evening and a Spectro night. Main Street was packed! Madison loved SpectroMagic. It reminds me of when I was a kid. So nostalgic. They better never get rid of it or change it! After the parade, we headed into the Emporium. Right as we entered, I saw Sheree (Mndisneygirl) and her family! I was so excited to meet another Disser. We chatted for a bit and then in walked Shawna and her family! (this was missed photo opportunity #2). I chatted with the ladies and all the guys chatted as well. It was so awesome! We all parted ways after that because we wanted a picture of the castle at night.

100_0456.jpg

A little grainy but I had to make it brighter.

image102.jpg

Love it!

We stood right in the middle of Main Street to watch Wishes and it was amazing! It really did bring a tear to my eye. I was just in awe! I now wish that I would have bought the cd. I just loved it! Afterwards, we made our way to the exit. I love riding the monorail, but not at the end of the day. I just do not like leaving the MK.

The weather truly was perfect. I was so happy!

Awesome pics. Morgan was glad Splash was down she said that the no seat belt thing was "too Scary". So she would sympathize with Madison.;)

The no seat belt thing is a little scary. My little sis was traumatized by Splash when she was 8 years old. I guess I should have known better than to take her on it. We let her see it first and let her decide what she wanted. I guess she was trying to be daring! We told her at least she could go home and tell all her friends how brave she was.

Great update Meghan! I too LOVE the pic of the three of you in front of the castle. I like the angle too, not taken right on Main Street with people in the background. It's nice with just the bushes around you guys! It will for sure make a nice Christmas card! Can't wait to read more!! Glad you guys got rid of the lice, we had a run with it at my work (preschool) last year and it really sucks! Prayers for your Grandpa too:):)
