A Surprise fit for a Princess...A Pre-Trip Report

What a great day!!!

It certainly was. It was a great start to a fantastic trip!

Wait, Madison sent your DH on MS right after eating and she didn't ride too? :rotfl: What a great dad!!!

Your pictures are great with all the characters! I'm surprised the lines were so short. When we went in September the Visa line was all the way through Innoventions. We passed but maybe I'll give it a go again next week.

You really filled up the whole day at EPCOT! Way to go!

I didn't want Madison to ride MS. Not even the tame version. My DH, on the other hand, can handle anything! I wasn't interested in riding MS either. I hate confined spaces! As for lines, I think we were really lucky. That Visa line was so short! We definately know how to fill up a day at one park. We didn't have hoppers, so we had to cram everything in. However, we never felt rushed or anything. It was great!

What a great update Meghan! I love the character spot in Epcot, when we were there the line moved fast too and I thought it was a great way to meet the Fab 5!! How does the Passport work?? My son will be 5 when we go next spring and it sounds like something he would like...

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers too, so sorry for your loss.

Madison is so adorable.

Thank you!!!

You can buy the passport kit at Epcot for around $10 (I think!). We didn't have to since "The Guide to the Magic" had spots for the stamps. There is a Kidcot Fun Stop at each country in WS where you can decorate masks and such, but you can also get stamps from the CM's. They're usually located in a gift shop, but some were a bit trickier to find! It was a lot of fun!

Great photos of Epcot. You DD looks so happy to be wy wdw!

Great pics and updates! I am sory too, for all that you have been going through this week-hugs!

I totally forgot about the Visa pics and the 5x7. I think I threw that coupon away :(

Thanks for the hugs! :)

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, they most certainly did. On Wed, we got a note home from school saying that someone in Maddie's class had lice. The nurse checked everyone and Madison was fine. Well, she wanted her hair in pigtails yesterday and I said yes. I parted her hair down the middle and my worst fear came true. Little nits all along her part! I had just washed and sanitized my entire house on Thurs and Fri. I had put her hair in a pony tail and then braided it. I thought I did everything within my powers to make sure this didn't happen. So, yesterday was a nightmare. I had a game I had to dance at on top of all of this. Thankfully, my mom came over to help. My DH vacuumed the whole house, I started washing everything in sight and my mom started the painfully long process of combing through Madison's hair. I feel so bad for her. All of her Webkinz and stuffed animals have to be bagged up for 2-4 weeks. I washed her few animals that I could, but my mom bought her a new Webkinz to keep her company for awhile. Thankfully, my DH and I are fine. Thank goodness I put a lot of product in my hair everyday!!!

EEEWWWW!!YUCK! Poor Madison! I got lice in Kindergarten and I will NEVER forget it.:sad2: My mom freaked... I thought it was some uncurable disease-she had me terrified! Then she started washing all my dolls and turned my fav doll in white outfit pink!!!!! It was awful!! Bless your hearts! That's awful!!!

I know about M asking to go back every day--my kids are trying to figure out how we can go as soon as baseball season is over! I don't think that'll happen before schools across the states start ending for summer:scared: Yikes.... I am not a crowd girl! How is you grand-daddy?

Reading along!

We are planning to surprise my DD in October for her 6th bday! Where did you get those fab boarding passes? I'm trying to come up with fun ideas for how to tell her. The plan (for now) is to pick her up at school and tell her. I just hope that I make it though the next 7 months w/o slipping ;)

Great start so far- your DD is gorgeous. Can't let my DD read your TR. Your DD does Irish step already??? I told my DD she's too young! (she does tap and ballet plus skiing, swimming, and basketball- we are running out of days of the week!)

   :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Really, what else can I say? I hope the little stowaways pass quickly, and you can get back to your regular life, which has plenty for you to handle. :grouphug:

Love, love, love the photos of Madison. That is a little girl having the time of her life! :woohoo:

Madison is doing quite well. I kept her home from school today. Today is Dr. Seuss's bday and they had a special lunch at school today (green eggs and ham, who-ville milk, etc). To make up for it, I made some chocolate chip pancakes!

I haven't heard anything new about my grandfather.

Oh, Meghan, you've had a rough couple of days. Poor Madison!

This week has been the worst!

I know. It's just awful! I'm so sick of doing laundry!

Thanks for reading! The link to the boarding passes is in my PTR. If I have a chance later, I'll search for it and post the link. Maddie starting Irish dancing this past summer. They start kids as young as 4 where she dances. They don't compete until they're ready though.

I hope that all of this is over with soon. I just spoke to the school nurse. I'm going to bring Madison to school in the morning and we're going to look through her head together. If there are still little nits, it's back home for us. If not, she can go to school.

I'm truly sorry for the delay everyone. It's been a crazy week/weekend and I'm just finally getting back to normal. Madison went back to school yesterday (we're nit free!), which was great. The nurse told me I've done a great job! I really needed to hear that. It's been a very long and tedious process. I'm SO sick of washing sheets! I'd rather go above and beyond what I need to do than not do enough. Speaking of laundry, I need to go get some done. Yes, it's after 1pm and I'm not even showered or put together. I slept in, caught up on American Idol and got on the Dis!

My mom just called me and told me that my grandfather got moved to the hospital. He has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The doctors said there is some things they can do for him, which is good. We're going into Syracuse to visit him on Saturday.

Oh Meghan when it rains it pours!! I hope you are doing okay!! Glad that Madison was able to return to school!! I'm still keeping you and your family in my prayers!!! I hope you have a great weekend with your grandfather!

Hi Meghan,
What a week + you've had lately, glad to hear that everything is better with Madison and you got that taken care of. Good job!:thumbsup2

So sorry to hear about your grandfather, I hope the dr. can do something for him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Take care!! And don't worry about us, we'll be here....:grouphug:

Hello! I have been enjoying reading your trip report. I hope you and your family had a great time. I love the two pictures of your family with Donald Duck with the breathmint in his mouth.:rotfl:

I just finished reading your report and it's great. Sorry to hear about your grandfather, our thoughts and prayer are with you.

Have a nice day. :)

Your trip report has been really great so far! I read your PTR a few weeks ago and was waiting on pins and needles to see how your little Madison would react. :rotfl:

I'm sorry to hear your happy vacation has been followed up by some horror at home. My brother had lice a few years ago and it was just a nightmare trying to keep everything at bay. Also, your comment about the gorgeous girls in Norway really made me laugh because I said the same thing to my DBF when I was there last week! They really are like models.

Hope everything with your grandfather goes well. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers!

Thanks! I'm having a fab day even though I had to work. It was an easy day. It's super sunny here today and I believe it's in the 40's or 50's. It feels wonderful!
