A story of renewed hope & the power of Dis

so the initial meets and re-meet were now history and we were planning to go to MNSSHP...little did I know at the time I would be attending a second one in a very short time


I was very happy this day had finally come as this was a very special meet.... yes Ed and I FINALLY got to meet



and even the heavens seemed to smile that it finally happened



Ed and I had been communicating for a few months as you all know and had been trying to get together prior to the October big meet ( and him running the TOT 10 K ) weather, work, personal life issues kept delaying it In emails we found we had a lot in common so our 3D meet was very comfortable I love you Ed and I feel like I have found a long lost brother .....only you I like

we walked around a bit before meeting up with PIO, her DH & DS, ( they had an ADR at Tony's ) and Alison and Fran were expected later on I do not have ONE picture of all of us together I don't have any pictures of any of them besides the ones above with Ed from that night

Alison and Fran did costumes and I am SO hoping when she gets to that point in her TR she has pictures that I can swipe and add here ...I know I am a bad Disser Funny thing is we were all there together and there was a great deal of texting back & forth but after the reunion outside of Tony's we all kind of drifted in different directions

Come back to WDW as soon as you can I miss you all so much

So because of that the only pictures that I will be posting is of me with characters....and will someone tell me WHY ?? Pluto is NOT a M & G at the MNSSHP ?? !! Good Grief I personally think they should dress him up like Mickey I have a stuffed Pluto that looks exactly like that I will post it later time ...so in the meantime here we go......

First up LOTSO I had a tip that he comes out at 7 pm by the hat shop and knowing that, I was the first in line.....what am I doing there ? I had no idea his tail squeaks and he was very persistent that this is what he wanted me to do Hey who am I to argue with a giant pink bear that can be pushy backing his big pink butt into me !!?? He LOVED it like when your dog wants his/her hindquarters scratched...It was really cute !

Ruthie - I don't think I've got one of all of us on this night either! We all met just outside Tony's and with everyone streaming in the gates, we were working out what we wanted to do for the night.

Alison's a lot further along in her TR than me. I'll wait and see what she posts of herself and Fran in costume.

I totally agree that Pluto should be out for meet and greet at MNSSHP! All the rest of the main characters are so why not him?

Lotso looks like he is fun to meet! He was on my list to meet that night we were there but the party is just too short to get everything in. Guess it gives me an excuse to come down for another one next year!

I'm doing well busy at work so no complaining I thank God I am getting hours Lotso was a great M & G and yes he loves to have that tail squeaked great fun for kids of all ages and something I had no clue about I think you could go to every party offered in the season and still not do it all...smart marketing WDW keep the masses coming back Yes hoping they do eventually bring Pluto into the M&G but doubt it never saw him there except in the parade Will be watching Alison's TR for her pictures Too funny how we all had different priorities for that night and SO glad we had done the BBQ for great quality time.....better planning next time we do a party together

I heard he was a great M & G and well worth the wait....I was curious, he was on my list..I also heard he was a " Prima Donna" he may show up, he may not, he may be on time, he may not I had about 4 families on line ahead of me,,,the timing was lousy he was supposed to come out at 9 ish ? All I know is to get in that line I had to forego the first parade and fireworks Eventually he shows up, saunters over like he has all the time in the world I wanted to smack him...this is costing me about $65 this night I don't care who you think you are, you're NOT Elvis Presley, you're not Billy Joel, you're not even Pluto all lines I have stood in, slept in, over the years were you worth it...Nah.....



I think in the first picture I may have been questioning his promptness, you know me I say what I think...you ain't Johnny Depp you know Gave me some line about Broken Compass pointing due North...that's all he said that I could understand, reminded me of a stoner from the 70's maybe its a Pirate thing I don't get it...lucky for him he didn't call me a wench ...well he could have I have no idea ...mumble mouth .... yes I know there are fans here sorry not me..stood for the mandatory "how do I get out of this now picture" and then I was on to better things...see ya Jack !

Great pictures of yoyr meet with Ed! I didn't get any pictures if the group that night either. We ended up splitting up fir the parade and I ended up watching it with Ed and Fran. I dd make Fran take a picture of me in costume, but I think there is only one group shot that PIO took outside the Haunted Mansion, which is the only picture that I think there is with Fran in costume.

Not too long ...20 minutes ? but it was the timing of the 20 or so minutes...not good, I did catch the 2nd parade where I was determined to get a shot of the headless horseman, more on that to come

I'm always about the M & Gs especially with ones that are new or only come out for parties...yes a character hound

Next I meet Jack & Sally THIS Jack was right on the money So animated it was surreal but in a fun way if that makes sense I have to admit I have tried over & over to watch the NBC movie I have it on VHS tape...yes that is how long I have it and have been trying to get through it I kept falling asleep Tim Burton's style doesn't usually do anything for me ( it took several years to get through James & the Giant Peach and a few other of his films

Frankenweenie I won't even attempt, too much like Steven Kings " Pet Cemetary " in concept ) but since Jack & Sally were new to WDW I was determined to not only meet them I HAD to know the story

I was smart enough to watch it when I wasn't exhausted...a rare occasional day I LOVED the movie ! Again a " little birdie " told me the best tip to meet them was get over there AFTER the last parade

I followed the advice and had a 5-10 minute wait and let me say it was AWESOME ! ( especially since I was wearing his shirt that did not go unnoticed Have to say I am now a BIG fan !






Next ...meeting Pluto0809 ( Ariana) another BIG Pluto lover and her reluctant Disney vacationing DH Jim....or is he ? Oh yeah and another MNSSHP !

I wouldn't have minded meeting Jack & Sally even though I haven't seen the movie. There just was not enough time that night we were there! I swear we were only at MK for a 1/2 hour that night, not five. Everything flew by so fast.

And yes, the attitude you got from Captain Jack is the normal pirate attitude. Maybe that's why Jim and I were ok because we knew what to expect. Jim's exchange with him was hilarious, I can't wait to write about it. It's going to be a while before I get there though, I have so much to talk about from this last trip!

Ariana and Jim ( for those who are not following her trip report ) were going to be arriving not long after the big Dismeet/Re-meet had happened

I was thrilled with the timing because I was missing my friends It's been a trying year and keeping my social calendar filled has helped me in so many ways I am very blessed

I had met Ruth & Cale, Dee, Mark and their DD little one as I call her, Alison & Fran, Alicia & Dan, Tiffany & Matt, , Bobbi & her sister Nancy, reunited with PIO, her DH, and DS, spent more time with friends I already had here in FL and met new ones at my job

Ariana and I have a mutual Pluto love....yes really...and we are also big advocates for animals She volunteers at a shelter weekly near her home in GA I was a member of 2 Nationally recognized rescue groups and an off shoot of the group was based in GA Most of my furry kids were either born or fostered in GA It was just meant to be this friendship/kinship I have NO doubt

So it was to be..They were staying at CSR, we decided a first meet would be for breakfast I'm on a kick lately to eat around WDW at new places to me so we agreed on Pepper Market Nope no food porn pictures at all...you know me by now rarely do I take food pictures I am usually too busy talking, downing a pot of coffee, and wolfing down food Have to say once again another perfect DisMeet We like each other more in person This is good ....Notice Ariana & my shirt? ...kind of says it all



On the way into the restaurant I briefly excused myself as I had spotted my dear friend Peter that works at CSR ( bell services...oh by the way Ariana he was NOT working the night your grocery order took forever to get delivered, had he been I guarantee it would have been there lickity split ) Anyway I stopped and asked him if he could find me a Pluto picture for Ariana and I would grab it on the way out after breakfast This dear man did more than that while eating, talking, getting to know each other the 3 of us were surprised when Peter came to our table and delivered a balloon and a Happy 15th Anniversary autograph picture from the canine himself...I have NO trouble believing had he known in advance Pluto himself probably would have delivered it, that's the kind of magic Peter likes to make
Next time Ariana note the anniversary on the reservation...you never know









That's Peter with me obviously and Halloween Pluto that I went crazy looking for that I could never find and Ariana & Jim were kind enough to bring all the way down to me...hey another puppy in the family from GA


We spent some time looking in the gift shop Panchita's ? after breakfast while Jim was a good DH and ran the balloon & pic back to the room...seems if I remember correctly he disappeared for a long time I didn't really think much about it, remember I have a DH too and for a LOT longer After we got back together we ran over to FT Wilderness they had a segway tour and then I headed home
