A Princess, Pirates and Pixie Dust!

Oh my! I didn't check in here yesterday, so I'm really excited for you! :cheer2: I just checked FB, and I don't see any news yet????

Nope no news yet. :( I was really hoping there would be but there's not. Went to dinner with some friends tonight to have the prego pizza (supposedly helps induce labor) and yeah nothing!!! I say if it doesn't make you go into labor you should get your money back!! :rotfl2: But it's ok still had a great night with some awesome friends!!! I'll make sure I update once I do go in. I won't post false alarms on FB so when you do see a post there you'll know it's the real thing!! :cool1:

OMG - that German food looks so delish! It's always fun to go for a drive and find a new town and a new restaurant, especially one with such authentic food. :thumbsup2

We have some not so good news about Maverick - His aunt passed the home study, so if she decides she wants to adopt him, there is nothing the State of Texas can do to stop her. The next step is that she will need to come and visit and find out his problems and see if she wants to deal with it - she would be a single mom. His lawyer is going to try to stall because if it gets to be a year, the law allows for a judge to make a decision based on what is best for him, not just the letter of the law. Please keep him and the family in your prayers.

We know God has a perfect plan for his little life, but we will be heartbroken if he leaves. Funny, on Christmas night we were all playing with him, I was sitting on the floor next to him in his little jammies, playing with a new toy. All of a sudden, he looked up and said, "I want to go home now!" Then went on playing like nothing was said. Just curious - maybe something triggered a memory and he can express himself now. :confused3

How much longer until 1 year is up?

And "I want to go home now!" :sad1: Boy that tugs at the heartstrings.
Children should not have to go through stuff like that.

Well, I guess that pizza wasn't so good after all! :rotfl2: I'm glad you had a nice night out with friends, anyway. I will be watching for your good news!

We love to go exploring! It has taken us awhile here to get our "wheels on" but we are headed out today to find some more new ground. Texas really is a "whole other country" as the ad says. When we were in Okinawa, some of our friends hated it there and wouldn't go and do anything. We went exploring every chance we had and had a fabulous three years there! We are working on making Texas home, so time to find out what's out there!

One year will be in July. I think most of the time, he feels at home and loved. There was probably just something that clicked in that moment and he though, "hey! I've been here long enough!" When he first came, he would go to the window and say, "mom here?" And he used to crouch down and look under men's hats to see their faces when they were bending down. I'm sure he was trying to see if they were his dad. It is so sad the things that kids go through. 40 kids are removed from homes here in SA every day.

Yesterday they got some more news from a lawyer that there may be one move a judge can do to say that he belongs with them. We'll see what happens. They have a good friend who is an attorney, so maybe he will help them out.

Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!

That looks delish, I love good potato pancakes and those looked perfect. I must prefer Austrian Schnitzel though as gosh, I didn't recall if having that much sauce (if any) but it looks good too! German food is such comfort food I think...absolutely perfect at this time of year.

Maybe I need to dig up a schnitzel recipie.

Or just ask my brother :goodvibes

I sure hope it works out. For everyone.

Speaking of German food, I should have another chapter up fairly soon on my TR.

Cograts Sandy !!!! Maybe the Prego Pizza was time delayed !!!!!

Thank you! That's what I told DH yesterday after Baby Jeffrey arrived. I didn't read other's stories about how long after having the pizza that they went into labor. Guess I should do that and see if I was within the range. :rotfl:

Thanks Tammie!! I'm more than happy to share pictures of my sweet little one's. I keep calling him James even though I know it's not James I'm holding or feeding. Poor kid is going to have a complex before he's even a month old!!

OOPS!! Hopefully I stop but it doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon. I was trying to wake him up to eat yesterday and kept going James and James would answer what. Finally after about the 3rd or 4th time I did that James goes "What Mommy? I'm right here." I felt so bad!! Poor kid thought he had done something wrong when all he was doing was being very good playing with his toys.

We stopped to see our gorilla friends.

Just as we started to walk away, I saw a flash of silver just above the ferns, so I waited for this guy to come out:

I don’t think I had seen him before!

We were having so much fun today – the sun was shining and everyone was in a playful mood. We went to EE to use the FP. Ryan and Mason went, and Jim and I. I guess everyone else opted out this time! I do love EE!

Next, we headed over to ITTBAB. I don’t have any pics from there - Don’t know why. We had some people crowd in behind Jim on our bench and when we realized we went too far and needed one more seat, they wouldn’t budge, so Myles ended up on a crack, and didn’t get to feel the worms and stingers. That is probably just as well! He was so nervous – he kept asking me what was going to happen, and he screamed like a little girl when the spiders came out! His parents had a good time teasing him later. Maverick didn’t like the dark again.

On our way, I got my first glimpse of Lady DeVine! I’m sure I have walked right by before and wondered what people were looking at! The kids were mesmerized – I think Evan was a little freaked out when she leaned toward him and sort of beckoned him toward her. I wonder if he had seen a preview of the Alice in Wonderland series!:rotfl2:

I had called RC to get a lunch ADR during the morning, and we were able to get a table for 11 on that short notice! It was time to make our way over there – I had never been down this path before – I love how hidden it is.

We had mediocre meals and some kind of surly service in here – and we did actually order meals and drinks and adult beverages, so it wasn’t our order. I think a few of the tips were a little surly, too. But we had a fun lunch anyway! Ryan went to the gift shop and came back with toys for all the kids when they got tired of their coloring books – it took a long time to get our food. Once we were finished and headed out to pay – we looked at the patio and saw that the sky had opened up and was dumping again!

We tried to wait it out for a little while, and then decided we might as well get moving

On to FOTLK- we got front row seats (we didn’t see any handicapped icons here) and enjoyed the show!

We were LIONS!

TO BE CONTINUED...

I love the gorillas, and so glad you saw the silver one out of the corner of your eyes.

You do love your EE, don't you. Unfortunately, not me.

And great photos of FOTLK. Front row:thumbsup2
