A Princess, Pirates and Pixie Dust!

In love with your family pictures!!

I agree about Londynn's outfit!! It's so cute!! Can you find out who she got it from? I think Sarah needs one!! :rotfl:

The kids faces are priceless on EE. So much fun for all of you!

London's outfit is beyond adorable! :lovestruc

And her face on EE is beyond hilarious!! :rotfl: Bless her little heart.

I love the family picture, it's a good one to hang up for you too see everyday. Gotta have a good picture of your babies to look at. ::yes::

Sorry I haven't been here more often. You know I still love you and think of you often. :)

Aww, thanks Camille! That poor little girl was truly afraid, I think! :rotfl2:

I do love that pic - I also put other pics of the babies around it - so fun to relive those moments whenever we walk by!

I know you have a lot going on, but It's great when you can stop by - Love you too!

Doing the catch up everywhere!!!

Love the day at DHS and now at AK. Cute outfit on London.

I can see why she might not like EE. ;)

Hi Pat! I am so behind everywhere - I just pop in here and there, and sometimes I don't post because Jim is asleep, so I understand!

Londynn's expressions are very intense! :rotfl2: Thanks so much for checking in!

Tammie, catching up again...sorry (issues with family and date with my hubby kept me off the DIS most of the weekend).

I love your granddaughter's AK outfit...it is simply adorable.

The photopass pictures are all great...and love the one you have hanging on your wall.

The EE pictures crack me up.

I would take pictures of my grandkids too...we all have enough of the animal photos (well, except the giraffes...you can never have too many giraffe pictures).

I'm glad the kids enjoyed the aquarium with the hippo swimming with the fish. :)

What wonderful family pictures at the TOL! I need to get one from that angle, we always have other people in the back of ours. Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!

No apologies needed here  I can't keep up anywhere myself

The EE pick is pretty priceless! :lmao:

I agree, you can never have too many giraffes, but we all have enough pics of gorilla butts! :rotfl:

I'm not sure we've taken that path before, or maybe not sure we've noticed - it did make for a great background, and extra nice that the PP was there.

Her face is probably the best of the trip, although Mason had some good ones, too. :lmao:

Just a little real life adventure today- I was thinking about Karin, DIZNEEAT and Tom so I had to post this. Today I got off work early and Jim was off. Since it was a warm sunny day, we hopped in the car and went exploring in the Hill Country - we went out near New Braunfels, which is a German established town here and still has some heritage - like Oktoberfest - and the famous water park, Schlitterbahn. First we took a road out along the Guadalupe River and found a spot for Jim to fish a little, until he lost a lure, and then it was time for dinner

We drove into New Braunfels and searched for a restaurant. Suddenly, I had an epiphany! We were in a German town - I'll bet we could get German Food! I had never eaten German food, so it seemed like a good time to try it.

So my phone found Friesenhaus! OMG! I am in love! It was really quiet, and I think during rafting season, it could be a hopping place - they have a bakery and live music on Fri and Sat. It was soooo good - I don't know why I have gone this long without German food, Now I know, Karin, that you are Austrian, not German - but you do know German food. I don't know if this is authentic or not, but it is really hard to find good food around here. So it was an especially wonderful treat to have well-seasoned, perfectly cooked food -
I took pictures of the menu:

I didn't get the main entrees because the waitress was ready to get our order about this time

Our food:

Potato pancakes

We were also given a plate of bread with cream cheese and ??? chives?? spread

My Schnitzel with seasoned potatoes and wine sautéed veggies

Jim's sampler sausage platter with potatoes and sauerkraut:

We each tried bites of the other's food, and it was all delish!!! I also had a very nice glass of Riesling.

That is all. Just wanted to share! :goodvibes

Schiltterbahn is AWESOME!!! The kids will love it this summer. We went when we were in TX last time. Spent two days there. I loved the old side the best. Truely an old school water park with the cement tubes.

This is the first time you've had German food, Tammie? Well, now you are living. We LOVE German food (just not Biergarten at Epcot) and we go a couple of times a year. Schnitzel is my absolute favorite and my oldest son would be so after Jim's sausage sampler. :goodvibes

I love New Braunfels! I didn't try that place..I was hooked on the New Braunfels Smokehouse!

Hi Tammie!
Great that you enjoyed the German feast. :thumbsup2 Your starter, Reibekuchen mit Apfelmus (potato pancakes with apple sauce) is a German staple. Authentic!
Bread, I guess was served with flavoured curd, which is something that is very common here.
Now, if that Schnitzel was breaded and then dumped with sauce it is German as well. Us Austrians we pride ourselves in having a crispy breaded Schnitzel - no sauce on top - with sauce = German.
The sausage platter looks good and kind of authentic as well. I can only speak for Bavaria, but they would not serve Weisswurst (white sausage) together with other sausages, but it does look like they are all German sausages.

Guess I need to coax you over to Austria - we have AWESOME food here too. Lots of yummy sweets. ;)

Looks yummy!!

SHHH don't tell (especially on FB because I have posted anything there) but I have a feeling that baby #4 may be making an appearance within the next 24 - 48 hours!! Last night I had contractions for about 3 hours coming every 5 mins. They weren't coming hard enough to make me want to go in to the hospital. Then this morning I got up around 5:45 am with Jeff and started having contractions again!! (Plus found something else had happened that I won't go into detail here, if you're a parent you can probably figure out what I'm talking about and no it wasn't my water breaking.)

Mmmmm.... German food.
You know... like Pizza. And cheeseburgers.
(Read my TR, you'll see.)

We always joke that German food is really good when you want a light meal.

And I'm hurt... HURT! That you didn't think of me too when you were there!

And good luck Sandra!

I do want to go there! The kids went a couple of years ago with Ryan's family when they were out here- they all hated it because it was so big and overwhelming without a plan and they almost lost Evan on a tube slide :scared: Maybe they will try it again in a couple of years :rotfl2:

We'll have to try that one some time - is that BBQ? I'm thinking it must be :upsidedow

Thank you Karin, for your expertise! It's nice to know if was close to the real thing! I would love to visit Austria some day! We will all probably be retired by then! :lmao:

Oh, yes, hamburgh! :lmao: I did think of you when I was looking around and thinking it would be a crazy place at Ocktoberfest! :rotfl2:

Awesome! We'll get you to Biergarten yet! ;)

Sounds like it needs to be on the list or sure!:thumbsup2

Just have to say - look at all the comments here when I talk about GERMAN FOOD! :rotfl2:

We have some not so good news about Maverick - His aunt passed the home study, so if she decides she wants to adopt him, there is nothing the State of Texas can do to stop her. The next step is that she will need to come and visit and find out his problems and see if she wants to deal with it - she would be a single mom. His lawyer is going to try to stall because if it gets to be a year, the law allows for a judge to make a decision based on what is best for him, not just the letter of the law. Please keep him and the family in your prayers.

We know God has a perfect plan for his little life, but we will be heartbroken if he leaves. Funny, on Christmas night we were all playing with him, I was sitting on the floor next to him in his little jammies, playing with a new toy. All of a sudden, he looked up and said, "I want to go home now!" Then went on playing like nothing was said. Just curious - maybe something triggered a memory and he can express himself now. :confused3

I Love German Food evry year in Lake George we go to The Heidelberg Inn !!Their potato pancakes are outta this world !!!

I remember seeing that on your TR! :thumbsup2 I was wondering if I was over-appreciating how good it was because there are so few good restaurants here. :lmao: Guess it was real, based on the German Food Love I see here
