A Princess & her Prince are finally going to Disney!W/PICS! *UPDATED 11/17*

I love the lamp picture! BUt that doesn't suprise you, right? ;)

The sky was so blue! You had a perfect day for your first day at Magic Kingdom! :cloud9:

LOL I have to admit that I took quite a few pics of light fixtures while we were there. Disney even dose lighting right :thumbsup2

It was beautiful. There is nothing that could have happened that could have made the day better.

Thank you so much for sharing...my 1st trip is coming up in January and can not wait!!!!

Thank you for coming along for the ride with me!! :goodvibes

You will have so much fun, it is truly a magical place. I hope you do a trip report and I will join you on your journey. :)

I am still trying to decide if we should do September again or do January or December. We were so spoiled by the low crowds that I don't think that we could ever do on season and from what I understand January is a great time to go because it has lower crowds and great weather.

This one is my favorite! :goodvibes

Day 2 - Part 3
Lunch Time, we Dream Along with Mickey, and I get pushed at shoved at a parade and still feel the Disney Magic!

After It’s A Small World we were both getting pretty hungry so we decided to have lunch at Pinocchio’s Village Haus. It was extremely crowded! We looked for a table after we got our food for a while and luckily we spotted some people leaving in the section of the restaurant that over looked it’s a small world. I was pretty happy and DH was really happy seeing as he was carrying the food. He is a big pizza eater as you will see through out his selections. So he ordered the pepperoni pizza combo. He is not a big salad eater so I just ordered Figaro fries and had his salad. Let me say those fires are really good. DH enjoyed his pizza too as he always dose ;)

It was almost time for the Castle stage show “Dream Along With Mickey.” Since we didn’t really catch it when we arrived we headed for the hub to grab a place to watch it. Now here is my 3rd tear up of the day if anyone is counting. I loved the show. I am the person who is always telling people to believe in dreams, they can come true so this show really touched me. Here are some pics from the show.

Since it was about an hour and a half from parade time we decided just to take it easy and hang around until the parade and just kind of soak up some atmosphere. I took a few more pics of the castle and some pics from the bridge that connects Liberty Square to in front of the castle. Here are some of us just hanging around before the parade that I took.

When more people started to gather for the parade we grabbed a really great spot in front of the castle. DH and I had been sitting in the direct sunlight for almost an hour when a lady from “one of the big tour groups” that happen not to speak “English” decided to try and sandwich herself between me and the two nice ladies from Japan who had been sitting there almost as long as we had been. She was incredibly rude and just pushed me out of the way.

Now let me preference this by saying I am in no way a push over. However I do choose my battles carefully and I was in Disney World. So I decided I will just stand because at that point there was no one directly behind me. The lady only left me enough room to put one foot between her and DH. My other foot was off of the curb. There was a lady behind me as well, we found out that it was her first visit as well as ours. When I had to stand up we started chit-chatting with her and her friends. Right before the parade was going to start. The tour group woman’s friends decided to join her. They completely pushed themselves to the front of the crowd waiting on the parade, completely surrounding us and the lady that we were talking to. Then a cast member came by and asked everyone to make sure their feet was not off of the curb. Well because of my lack of room my foot was off the curb. I had to step up on to the side walk knocking into the lady from the tour group, which proceeded to have the nerve to give me a dirty look. The lady behind me that we had made friends with asked me if I had enough room and said if I didn’t she would push them back and make room. I told her that I was fine even though I obviously didn’t have enough room. I was trying to be extremely patient.

Even though I was extremely aggravated by this point when the parade started, I kind of just let it take me to my Disney happy place. When the music begin, I teared up for the 4th time. (but who’s counting) I was so excited to see that because of the upcoming release of Sleeping Beauty that the Sleeping Beauty float opened up the parade. Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney movie and one of my favorite movies of all time. Here are some parade pics.

After the parade we started for Frontier Land. We saw a photopass photographer and decided to get a pic taken on the bridge with the Castle in the back ground. Great idea then the same people who shoved me out of the way tried to get right next to us while the photopass photographer was taking our pictures. The cast member was very nice and asked them to move. Then the lady held up hand and said in a minute. She acted like she couldn’t speak English when she shoved me out of the way for the parade. Go figure, I guess she remembered. I could not believe that they would have the nerve to be that rude to the cast member. The cast member finally looked at her again and said "No they were in line waiting, please step to the side and you will be next. This apparently made the lady angry because she stormed off. That was the last that we saw of that group of people and thank goodness for it. Most of the other people
that we encounter from any country was exceedingly nice and we struck up conversations in lines with many people. I realize that they paid a lot of money to be there but so did everyone else and being considerate it just common courtesy. That should translate into any language.

Day 2 - Part 4

Happy Haunts, Yo Ho a Pirates Life for me

I had started to feel really bad. I am not sure what it was if it was the aggravation from the tour group people or the heat or a combination of both. I told DH we had to get out of the heat for a few minutes. I usually don’t complain a lot even if I feel bad, DH immediately took one look at me and agreed I needed to sit some place cool for a minute. He said I looked like I was going to pass out. To be honest I was dizzy but I didn’t tell him then….He would have made me go back to the resort and I wasn’t ready to leave yet. I know I am stubborn. We went to the Columbia Harbor House and got some cold drinks and went upstairs (thanks to the Disboards I knew that it would be less crowded than the downstairs. ) IT was all but deserted up there! It was just us another family and one other couple. We got a table overlooking Fantasy Land.

It was exactly what I needed. I felt a hundred times better :yay: , and was ready for more. We headed to the Haunted Mansion, there was a 10 minute wait but we really didn’t wait that long. This was one of my favorite attractions the whole trip. I loved it! DH loved it as well.

P1020452.jpg

Next up we headed to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The wait was posted as 20 minutes but we waited about 10. I did like this but I am a big roller coaster person and did wish that there were more drops. However this was just DH’s speed. This is his idea of a roller coaster, one that doesn’t go really fast or have many drops. He is not a thrill seeker. I didn’t get any pics here at this time. I think that my memory card was getting full and I knew that I had quite a bit more as we were staying all day. We thought about riding Splash Mountain but we didn’t want to get wet right then. We were both thirsty so we stopped for some drinks and decided to have a Mickey Bar….Mmmmm it was good.

After our snack we headed to Adventure Land. There was only a 5 minute wait for Pirates so we headed in. We both enjoyed Pirates and were singing “Yo ho, yo ho a pirates life for me,” for the rest of the evening. We looked in the gift shop a little and I spotted, pirate Mickey ears. Now I had originally planned on getting the classic Mickey ears but after seeing these in person decided that these were the ears that I wanted. We didn’t buy them yet though.

Even though the Jungle Cruise had a 20 minute wait we decided to wait. We actually waited 20 minutes this time. The line moved really slow. Our guide “Skipper Adam” was pretty funny though. After doing the safari though I kind of thought that this paled in comparison. But I am glad that we got to experience it. However I don’t think that I would stand in line very long to do it again.

UP NEXT: DINNER AT THE PLAZA RESTURANT AND WISHES: THE PERFECT END TO THE ALMOST PERFECT DAY

Looks like you got great seats for the castle show. The pics are awesome! And the pics are good too from the parade even though you had to deal with rude people. I can't believe they tried to get in the way of your photopass pic even when the CM said something! That makes my blood boil for you! I'm glad you ended up feeling better. There was a day that we were at HS and I roder Star Tours:sick: It made me so sick that I ended up having to go back to the room. We missed our dinner package for Fantasmic at Mama Melrose. After we got back to the room, DH went out to Epcot to enjoy the food and wine fest. He also got me some perfume to make me feel better:love: Can't wait to hear more!!! I'm in the middle of my TR too. You should come over and check it out:)

You are a much better person than I am with regard to the pushy "non-English speaking" woman! I just don't think I could keep my cool in that situation, especially when you'd been sitting there out in the hot sun for so long! :furious:

What a great update! I still can't believe what gorgeous weather you had on your first day. Also, kudos to you & DH! You seem to have gotten a lot done and for your first time that really impresses me.

I can't stand rude people like that. We encountered quite a bit on our trip too. It's frustrating, you don't want anything ruining your happy place.

I am so bummed that we missed the daytime parade. We just never made it. That is a must do on my list for next time!!

YA! A new update! :cool1: I love all of your castle pictures! I wish I had taken more from different angles.
You were a very nice person in keeping your cool with the obnoxious woman. I hate to see that kind of thing happen when someone has waited so long for a parade. Sometimes people are different...:confused3
I know what you mean about feeling a bit sick in the heat, it does help to get a drink and get in the shade and AC.
So now I am waiting for the fabulous pictures of you guys in your pirate mickey hats! ;)

Great update you Southwest VA girl!! That Aurora was really beautiful! I mean look at her face, gorgeous princess:

Great trippie! Love all the pics!

Thanks!

We did get some really good seats for the parade, despite the rude people. I think that I was just so aggravated and it was so hot that it got to me. Star Tours made me a little sick too, it wasn't too bad but I don't think that I will ride it again. That is sweet that your DH bought you some purfume to make you feel better :) I will be over to check your trip report out. I love new reports to get caught up on!!

It was really hard. I have quite a temper, I think that I was in shock too!

Thank you! We did have very beautiful weather most of the time that we were there! We did get a ton done, we were lucky it wasn't crowded.

I really can't stand rude inconsiderate people and am always shocked when I encounter people like that. I just kept looking at DH and saying "happiest place on earth"

It was a really nice parade, we enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks, I think that I took a hundred of the castle. I was in such awe. It did help so much with the sick feeling just getting a cold drink and resting in some AC. Some Pirate ear pics are coming up soon! ;)

Great update. Love all the fantastic pics!!!

Thanks!

Great update you Southwest VA girl!! That Aurora was really beautiful! I mean look at her face, gorgeous!!!
