A Princess & her Prince are finally going to Disney!W/PICS! *UPDATED 11/17*

Hey I'm back! And much better I will update in a few minuites.

Hey everyone I am back and I feel much better thank you for all your wishes of feeling better! Sorry this installment took so long.



Day 2 - Part 1 - Checking into All Star Music and Breakfast



We got up and checked out of the Regal Sun around 7:30 am then it was on to All Star Music. DH and I were both extremely excited for today. While we were technically on Disney property, we would be checking into our Disney resort: The All Star Music. We had found it the night before driving to the Boardwalk so we knew where to go.

When we went into to the lobby to check in and while in line we were greeted by the manager. He asked if it was our first trip to WDW, and we told him yes. He also asked if we were if we were celebrating anything special. We told him that we were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. He talked with us for a few moments then when we were at front of the line he made sure that the cast member checking us in gave us our anniversary buttons and our 1st time visitors buttons. The check in process was extremely easy. The cast member was very nice and gave us a packet of information on the resort. I was extremely happy to learn that we were in the Jazz building and we got a king bed!!!!! I was so happy on both fronts. We were very close to the food court and I had been really hoping for a king bed. I was so excited. DH and I decided to go unpack and then grab some breakfast in the food court. Here are some pictures of the hotel.

I wish that I had taken pics of the room before we messed it up but alas I did not. I took some later on in our trip though. We both really liked the room. I thought that it was modern but warm. It was extremely clean. I will share a few that do not show our mess lol.

After we unpacked the car we headed to the food court. It was busy, I mean crazy busy. But we were starved. We decided to go ahead and get the refillable mugs. Then it was onto breakfast. We both decided to start out with a truly Disney experience: Mickey Waffles!!!

After our bellies were full we were off to catch the bus to the Magic Kingdom. One thing that is not entirely magical is the bus service lol. We waited for a really long time for a bus. It seemed the whole time that we were there that it was hit or miss but DH liked not having to drive all the time so we toughed through it. We were on vacation and a Disney so a couple slow buses were not going to get us down. After what seemed like an eternity this wonderful sight pulled up to the curb to wisk us a way to a land of magic and make believe:

Great update!! It looks like a great resort! I did see that their bus stops aren't covered either! It's Florida, you need the shade so you don't wilt before you get to the park!

I'm getting very concerned about the bus service. I'm glad to hear that it wasn't bad enough that you decided to drive yourselves!

So now you are officially onsite! Isn't it the best when you are staying at one of the resorts? Did you get lots of comments on your 1st time and anniversary buttons? I wish we had known when we went our first time to ask for one! We'll just have to come up with another occasion to go to Disney and wear a special button!

Thanks. We really liked it. I was actally suprised by how much we did. No that was one of the bad things it was so incredibly hot wait on a bus where they were not covered. We would always fill up our mugs before we got in line that way we would at least have something cool to drink while waiting in line. I did feel like I was wilting a few diffrent times LOL.

Yes I was so excited it was ready that early!!! It was nice to have our stuff already in the room and waiting after a day at the park!

That was my one gripe the whole trip was the bus service. Although I have to admit I did like getting on an air conditioned bus at the end of the day.

I love staying at a Disney resort. It is so much diffrent than being at a normal hotel. YES! We got a ton of happy anniversarys and questions about it being our first time there. It was great. You should find a reason to wear a button we got lots of special treatment! It was like we were royalty lol.

Day 2 - Part 2
Magic Kingdom part 1


After our what seemed like forever waiting on the bus (which in reality was about 20 minutes.) We finally boarded the bus and set out for the Magic Kingdom. We had to stand this trip and I kept trying to make myself short enough to see out the windows LOL. I finally saw my first glimpse of the castle. I practically bounced off the bus when we finally arrived. I really wish that I had gotten more pics outside the MK but I was just so happy to finally be here that I think we almost ran in. We were like two kids in a candy store......Better yet we were like two kids at DISNEY WORLD!!!!

I wish that I could put into words exactly how I felt when I walked onto Main Street and saw Cinderella Castle for the first time but I really don't think that there are words to do justice the emotion that I felt. This was the first of my many tear up's of the day. I almost lost it but I managed to contain myself. DH was like a kid also. Even though the part was a little crowded when we arrived I could still feel the magic all around me. We looked around and just tried to take everything in. We did manage to get a few pics along the way.

While on the way down Main Street we decided to stop for a photopass picture.

First up after we had our first of many awe inspiring moments we headed to Tomarrowland.

First up a ride on Space Mountain. We were in luck it only had a 15 minute wait. The wait was really more like 10. I couldn't really get a good pic of Space Mountain because we were in such a hurry. Here is a pic from the queue and DH trying to figure out what to do with his bag. I am not sure why he looks mad in this pics because he was perfectly happy.

We both loved Space Mountain. This was just the first ride of many during our trip. Although DH said he kept feeling like his head was going to hit something, I told him if he saw it with the lights on as scardy cat as he is he wouldn't have ridden it. LOL

Next up we went to Buzz Lightyear, we both loved this. The wait time was only 5 minutes. DH declared this was his favorite so far HA he had only ridden 2 rides. But now he goes back and fourth between Buzz and Space Mountain. Sadly DH kicked my booty at Buzz as he is much better at video games than I am most of the time. I tried to take a pic of our scores but it didn't show that well. Oh well here are some pics from Buzz below.

After Buzz we went to Stitches Great Escape, it had no wait we watched the pre-show and walked right on. Now I have to say I love Stitch but I think that this was my least favorite attraction which is sad because of how much I love Stitch. I didn't take any pics here, once again I'm not sure why.

We decided to make our way to Fantasy Land. Instead of walking straight there from Tomorrow Land we decided to walk through the Castle. Here are some pics that we took while on our way.

I just loved the mosaic's in the castle walk through but it was busy in there so I only got one pic.

Up first we headed to Mickey's Philharmagic. I have to admit during the movie was my second emotional tear up of the day. Seeing all the characters that I had watched when I was a child and the magic of finally being here started to get to me again. Needless to say this was another attraction that DH and I both loved.

After Mickey's Philharmagic we were going to do Peter Pan's flight but the wait time was 40 minutes! That was the longest wait time that we saw at all during our first day. So just across the walk way we saw that there was only a 5 minute wait for It's A Small World so we walked right over and got in line. We both enjoyed this, me more so than DH as he complained that he could not get the song out of his head. LOL

After It's A Small World, we were both getting pretty hungry again. So up next LUNCH

I wish I had taken a picture of the balloons, they were all over Main Street. Don't you wonder what they do with all of the ones that don't sell?
My DH had the same feeling that he was going to hit his head on Space Mountain! Did you ride in the front seat? I was always the one that was willing and it was crazy! When my DH finally was brave enough to ride in that spot he yelled the whole time! We were all laughing our heads off!

Thank you! The weather was beautiful most of the time that we were there. I was a bit worried because it was hurricane season but thankfully it all worked out

The castle mosaic is beautiful! You know I had never thought of it that way about what they do with the balloons that don't sell. Now you have me pondering

I did once! DH yelled the whole time anyway, I can't imagine what he would have done in the front.
