A Photo Safari Halloween Solo Trip for Oct'13: Trip Report Started!

That is quite a bit of food!! Food & Wine looks and sounds so delish - however I would start on the Mexico side so it's easier to get back to your room!

Love the ADR list and glad to hear you got the BOG all settled, as well as the pirate league!

That's a very ambitious list for food&wine hahaha, good luck with it! (You're making me a little sorry I'm missing the festival!)

Definitely! I wonder if Disney offers a wheelbarrel service if I reach a point where I can't walk any more because I ate too much.

The big challenge would be remembering to take pictures of the food. I have a pretty bad track record of food pictures mostly because as soon as I see my plate I just start digging into it. It's usually near the end of the meal I realize that I forgot to take photos.

I know they don't stopped making new episodes over a year ago, but Man vs. Food and Adam totally should have done a challenge circling around WS during FW and eating one item from every kiosk!

DiVine

I have yet to have seen DiVine in Animal Kingdom even after all these visits. I did see the "knockoffs" in Vegas last year located in one of the shopping malls. :lmao: But I think everyone would agree the backdrop of the lush AK landscape is far better than the sterile shopping mall!

Anyway, catching a picture of her is another effort to try to seek out many of the atmosphere performances and entertainment sprinkled throughout WDW!

Hmmmm, now that I have them all listed out I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to eat all that food even if it's spread out over 8 hours. :lmao: Wish there was a way to get smaller portions of 2-3 bites.
You could always cut Korea. I mean for you that would almost be like stopping for a burger at the American Pavilion wouldn't it?

Divine would definitely be a great addition to your list.

True. The Korean menu items are kind of unusual and not traditional Korean which is where my curiosity is. Sort of how I can never pass up a good looking burger with creative seasoning or toppings on them. Who am I kidding - all it takes is a fried egg in a burger and I'm reaching for my wallet! :lmao:

I'll take a peek at the Korean food and if it looks like it's the usual Korean fare then I'll probably skip it. :thumbsup2

I've only seen DiVine up close once, on my first trip and I didn't even get a picture! I saw her one other time but she was surrounded by a crowd. Hope you can get an unobstructed view :thumbsup2

I've been thinking about how to take a picture of her and you're right, there's going to be a couple of things that will make it slightly more challenging to get a good photo. As you said, I'm sure she'll be surrounded by lots of people which will make it nearly impossible to get her whole body inside the frame. Also, because she's oh so up high I'll have to be mindful not too get to up close to her when trying to take a portrait shot. Let's face it. There are very very few people who come out looking like a rose when the camera is pointed from an angle from right under your chin! :lmao:

I think I'll probably have to use my telezoom lens and just forget about a full frame picture and try to get a close up of her face/neck/shoulder area from a slight distance. Maybe I'll luck out and there will be a bench or something I could stand on to give me a little more elevation.

Great F & W plan! Even if you have to scratch a few things, it's better to go in with some semblance of a game plan, though you may want one or two wildcard slots .... You'll see someone walking by with something that looks and smells delicious and you'll find out it was from a pavilion not on your list. It's been known to happen! :rolleyes1

Wildcard slots....love it! :rotfl:

I'm actually rearranging my dining plans again and considering hopping over to Epcot around 3:00-3:30pm from the convention center to spend a couple of hours in WS eating a few items from the kiosks before I head over to MNSSHP around 5:30pm-ish. The downside would be that I will be entering MK a little later than I wanted. But the upside is that it would give me a fighting chance of trying all the food I want to if I can split it over two meal times. ;) If I do follow this plan, I can get a discounted afternoon entry park admission pass through my conference. Decisions, decisions.

That's a long list of stuff to try!!! If you can spread it out over two visits, you have a fighting chance of trying everything. :thumbsup2 Looking through the menus, there's not a ton that appeals to me, but there are definitely some things I want to try, and this year I'm determined to do so.

Hopefully you have luck coming across DiVine. She is a hard lady to spot sometimes! The couple of times we have seen her we just stumbled upon her as we were heading to something else. She is really amazing!

There's a good chance you'll run into me at Epcot with food stuffed in my cheeks and mouth, so if you do try not to laugh. :rotfl:

It won't be me laughing you'll need to worry about, it'll be DH with his quick shutter finger for photographic evidence!! ;)

:lmao: That's a very good point. I'll make sure to keep my face turned towards the lake while eating. ;)

Well, I know Dave is the one doing the photo safari thing, but if your DH wants to get into the mix, I think we just found his number 1 target. :rolleyes1 :rotfl::rotfl2:

Spent my lunch hour calling Disney BBB reservations. I was talking with DD at bedtime last night about our January trip and she told me she really wanted to try BBB instead of the Pirates League so I went ahead and made a reservation for her. I started chuckling though when the first automated prompt involved the Fairy Godmother trying to find her misplaced wand. Then I got to hear the music from Soarin' while on hold. That just got me more excited about the trip in October which is 82 days away!

:rotfl2::rotfl: We might have to work out a deal on the pictures Dave. There might be a costume change happening for MNSSHP for me and I can use as little photographic evidence as possible for that one. ;)

Ooohhhh I totally had forgotten about that! :rotfl: Yes, we can make a deal! Before the change in your costume plans, I was going to offer to take a nice family picture of the three of you at MNSSHP but now I'm thinking you may not want it? :goodvibes

I'm not sure I like this deal. It sounds like we might be missing out on some epic pictures now.
