A No Snooze Bar Christmas, Harry & Mickey are Waiting..it is done

Even though you didn't like the last day, it was a great update. The boys look so cute in their Mickey ears. Did Ab find Mickey ears? I wonder if we were in the food court when you made your cheese cake run? We were sitting in the far left sitting area, where you can see the resort buses. We were there with my "second set of parents". Friends of my parents who have become friends and more like family to us over the years.

No ears for Ab...she ended up with a scarf. :confused3 Now I wonder...I remember you texting you were at POP, but I know we were somewhere away from POP at the time. Like I said I journaled really bad the last day! So cool to have a second set of parents...that are great friends!

Wow!! Both the scrapbook pages are amazing!!

Thank you...while I could scrap them probably faster traditionally I am really liking the ability to manipulate everything going digital...and I can add so much more fun stuff! I have decided to hide a Mickey or two in every layout!

aws i don't like when trip reports come to an end. Mine isn't to far behind yours. I'm on day 13 only two more to go :(

Yes, but you have a couple of Disney Trips planned...mine are all in the thinking and no action stages! Ab is so jealous of Diseny Paris!

so sad it's coming to an end :(

Bittersweet...I am glad I saw it through! But now I must really get the scrapbook done because everyone is asking to see it. It is going to take me another 8 months to finish it, if it is like this trip report! :crazy2:

I redid the Tangled meet and greet for my first of 4 challenges today...

Think I am avoiding writing my last TR update today?

:rotfl2::thumbsup2 Sounds like a plan to me. :goodvibes

Sharing drinks is good.........

It is not like you have been moving or starting a new job....

Hehehe... Im going to update my TR today....

Ann is awfully agreeable tonight!

What's not to be agreeable about sharing the cost of drinks and getting to try even more that way without having to stumble all over WS to do it! lol

we had yet to find the “right” Mickey ears and I insisted they we needed to pick a pair out. Well, Ab did not want a pair (which made me frustrated, I HATE TO SHOP WITH HER) then the boys could not decide, finally Boo decided on his and then Goo (and I had a melt down over his final selection that I am not proud of). With hats on the boys head and me being grumpy we headed into the Lego Store (so much for trying to get my attitude back in check), thankfully it was pretty much empty and the boys made a bunch of little people for their collection at home.

After looking at them ALLLLLL trip, it took Alexa like 45 minutes to finally decide on the blue ones with the Cinderella slipper on top... Which I could have predicted since "Rella" is her favorite princess.

before making our way into Goofy’s Candy shop…

I had planned to use up a few snack credits, but it seems no one wanted to help me so we left the store empty handed (and a little more grumpy, if that was even possible). By this time the crowds had exploded and we were back at the bus stop with the kids begging to swim and I really needed a nap! So it was back to POP where Jeff took the kids to the pool,

Unused Snack Credits!!!!!!!!!! I'll have to tell you what we did with ours... Oh and Tammie remember that yummy looking chocolate and other random yummy covered rice krispie you posted on facebook weeks ago? Brandon's (Ashley and my coworker that picks on us) Mother is bringing us back one!

I went in search of…

I'm ashamed to say... I had like 3 pieces of this over our 5 day trip...

I'm sad you were sad at the end of your trip. It was a very long trip though spread over a lot of days of you 5 being in the same room together and not having any alone time/space. I love that y'all ended your trip with Ohana though. I think its a good thing we will be starting ours meeting each other at Ohana.

And if you keep rolling with the scrapbook competitions on the weekends you'll finish before the 8 months lol! :lmao:

Love a the pages. They came out great!!

Thank you...I am not happy with the Carousel or the pirate one...tinkering with them, but I had certain requirements for each page and once I turned them in then I could change them up.

Well at least you got to go to a park!

Yep, the kids loved Epcot...that was their favorite!

Sharing drinks is good.........

I am really not a big drinker, a couple of sips is enough for me...I would hate to fall into the lake because of stumbling....

Had I stayed at POP the whole time....

The room at BWV really was so spacious that we were not on top of each other...and who spends time in a room...

The problem with digital scrapbooking I am finding is that there is so much I can manipulate that I never seem to get pages done and keep tinkering with them...my goal is to have it done by Christmas!

Too Early to be Sad About Leaving

Our flight home was an early one (7:45 am), so I knew that it was going to be a really early morning departure from POP to MCO. When we arrived back at the rooms after dinner, I had the boys shower and then change into the clothes they would be wearing the next morning and sleep for the few short hours dressed, so I would not have to deal with sleepy boys and clothes. Ab decided to do the same thing and sent them off to bed, while I made sure that everything was packed ready to head out the door shortly before 5:30 am. I had chosen about another hours’ worth of sleep and had Tony (the driver I had hired at the start of the trip) picking us up instead of Magical Express. Tony had called during dinner and was a little concerned about marathon road closures and to confirm times. After making sure everything was ready I headed to bed. I am sure I slept some, because 4:45 came really fast and after getting myself around, I got everyone else up and called the front desk to help with luggage.

We made it to the entrance in fairly decent moods despite the early morning and little sleep…I think the boys were sleeping walking. As we waited for Tony, I dropped off a few fairy god mailer postcards and joined the family curbside, right on time Tony rounded the corner and greeted us with the same welcome that we received each time he had arrived, how he is so cheerful this early I will never know. The ride to the airport was pretty quiet expect for a few answers Tony was able to draw out of the kids about their trip and a few detours thanks to the marathon. At MCO we said our goodbyes to Tony and promised that we would see him again, hopefully soon and then made our way through check in and then security before making our way to our gate.

(Riding the monorail was not nearly as fun for Goo as when he had arrived…)

As we waited for our plane Jeff grabbed a little breakfast to take with us (same breakfast we had we when started this trip…Egg McMuffins) and began chatting with several other families waiting and found out that they were also from our same hometown. Exchanging Christmas experiences and hometown connections really passed the almost 2 hour wait (Ab spent her time reading and the boys zoned out in front of the TV screen).

Good-bye Orlando

The flight home was pretty uneventful, a lot quieter than when we had left almost 2 weeks earlier, and after a couple of stops (one in Houston and then a plane change in Dallas) we made it home early in the afternoon safe and sound…and very tired but we had fun with both Harry and Mickey,
despite it being a NO SNOOZE BAR CHRISTMAS vacation because of course we could not leave HARRY AND MICKEY WAITING (especially when commando mom is in charge of the touring plan).

It is not over until the scrapbook is done...keep checking back as I post updates of the page I complete...can I drag this out until I am back in the world?

Thank you to everyone who followed along...I am grateful that anyone would read this, let alone stick it out for 8 months of updates!!!

No, say it isn't so!!! i don't want it to be over. boo hoo.
I've loved reading along even though i don't post all that often. Your report went hand in hand with my morning coffee routine and I'm sure going to miss that.

All in all, it sounds like you guys had a very memorable trip. Long and exhausting and very very full for sure. you can probably fill 3 scrapbooks with all the photos!

i'll be sure to check in and see what other pages you scrap and post too!

Thanks for sharing your trip. It was quite and adventure!
