A No Snooze Bar Christmas, Harry & Mickey are Waiting..it is done

I found your trip report and have spent the better part of 2 days reading your updates. Wow - you had a wonderful trip and got so much accomplished! Your commando touring style had me cracking up sometimes. I used to be somewhat commando but now that it's just my husband and me, we've slowed things down quite a bit. Just wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying reading about your trip - you have a beautiful family.

Thank you for you kind words, I am honored that you would spend 2 days reading my ramblings! I think next time we go...it will be a lot less commando, but I still will inforce rope drop, but add the afternoon off at the resort for pool time! Plus, we have done everything and seen everything...so we know what to do!

I see you taking a trip to DL...any tips? I am looking at next July for a trip...we have to see CARS land!

I'm amazed you got your crew to go along with all the plans - you have great kids! Yes, we're headed to DL in a couple months - I'm excited to go back. We were there 3 years ago but it was very low key - we were with my brother-in-law who was suffering from leukemia. He and my step-sister lived in CA most of their lives and he was a life long Disney fan. I think he knew this would be his last trip - he passed away 3 months after our trip. Anyway, we missed a lot that I hope to see this time around. This time it will be my sisters and their husbands. I'm doing most of the planning but I have my work cut out for me! It's a very diverse group with different interests, meal preferences, etc., etc. One thing I won't budge on is getting there at park opening - if some don't want to get going that early we'll have to meet up later! I'm sure you totally understand that :rotfl2: I bought the Unofficial Guide so I'm using that to try and come up with a touring plan for all the attractions. Not sure what to expect as far as crowds. We'll be in the parks on weekdays so I hope that helps. From what I've read, DL is much busier on the weekends than weekdays since they draw mostly locals unlike WDW.

Happy Birthday Goo!!!

My youngest is 7 also - it's such a great age - they don't need you every minute, but still think you hung the moon and stars! He's so excited for our trip and has loved looking at your pictures of WWoHP!

Hoping to read one more installment today ;). We leave in just 20 hours :cheer2:

I am not sure that I am going to get it one today...photobucket is acting really crazy! Really there is only 2 more huge events coming up...something to do with Dessert/fireworks and then a resort change. The rest is pretty boring!

HAVE A SUPER FUN TRIP...hope you will share some pictures!

Oh please don't say photobucket is acting up?! I'm ready to write my next installment. What kind of problem are you having with photobucket?

When I am resizing it is freezing and the locking the program down...it is taking a long time to allow me to copy the image address. I really think the issue has to do with the commericals they are running at the moment!

I went Pro, so much better!! You can choose your size as you download it AND it saves the original size too!

Thanks! I know we will :dance3: Would love to do a trip report when we get back, but not sure I have the patience for it....

Enjoy your trip!! Next couple days have more rain in the forecast. Keep an eye on Ernesto, still to early to tell where it's going to go, but it's forcasted to become a Cat 1 soon.

Dining in the castle was such a magical morning for us. pixiedust: Glad you didn't get seated by the rule breakers!:thumbsup2

Going our Separate Ways, Before Meeting Up for the Future

After our royal late lunch the touring plan was basically open to whatever the kids wanted to do, we had done almost every attraction that was on our list. The kids decided they wanted another trip through the Haunted Mansion,

which was perfect because I knew I wanted us to check out Tom Sawyer’s Island. So after we got rid of those high jacking ghosts it was time for a little adventure and exploring. Ab mentioned on the ride over that she wanted to go and meet Rapunzel, so we decided that we would go explore some and then leave the boys on the island and head for Fantasyland and when they were done they would meet us there.

Tom Sawyer Island was a lot of fun and I was a little sad to leave the boys having so much fun in the fort, but the adventure Ab and I had on the raft made up for it, sort of. It was apparent that our raft guide was a NEWBIE and was not really sure of her skills in docking the raft. When it came time for the approach to the dock, she lurched the raft, and suddenly I was thankful to be wedged in the middle and not on the side railings, because several people almost ended up in the river. Obviously a little flustered she then pulled into the dock a little too fast and hit the dock at way too fast of a speed, again about sending people off the raft, but thankfully everyone on board was very kind to her, including a family whose child had hit her head on the railing pretty hard when we ran into the dock.

Ab and headed to the Fantasyland Gardens,

where we found the line for Rapunzel to be already backed up almost to the castle (we arrived almost 30 minutes early). Ab was so worried and concerned that we would not get in, especially when the lineup growing and then the CMs kept coming by counting people with their clickers. I left Ab waiting with about 15 minutes until the scheduled time to make a run into Tomorrowland to pick up a set of fast passes for Buzz Lightyear, when I returned the line first part of the line was taken into the courtyard and we moved up to 1 family behind the rope waiting…Ab was so relieved and soon it was our turn to enter and wait for our royal introduction. The theming of the area was so nice and I loved the color scheme. It was a really nice touch to have coloring pages for the little ones to work on while waiting, sure helps the atmosphere. When it was Ab’s turn, she was all smiles when Rapunzel commented on her hair and wanted to know if it was magical too. They then exchanged hair tips during the pictures.

Rapunzel wanted to know if Ab had any boy troubles, and then proceeded to teach her a signature move to take care of pesky boys…the frying pan.

I absolutely loved this meet and greet probably the most with Ab (maybe because she was the only teenaged girl in the mist of all the little girls that Rapunzel really interacted with her), although the interaction with Tink was fun! As we were leaving the courtyard, the boys appeared and then disappeared when the headed off to the Speedway

and Ab wanted to go into a gift shop, where she purchased…

Meeting back together we still had about an hour before the special ending of our day in MK so it was off to Tomorrowland

2atnight.jpg

where everyone wanted to do the People Mover (which at one point stopped for almost 10 minutes and of course we had to be in a really dark area),

(Forgot to adjust camera settings in time and all I got was a blur, they really need to stop the ride or slow it down when you pass the castle…such a great photo spot)

before using our Fast Passes on Buzz Lightyear.

From Buzz we discovered we had enough time for the Monsters Inc. Laugh Factory, which was a hit with Boo who loves bad jokes and even texted one in and it was selected.

Finally, it was time to end our day magically…

I love monsters inc laugh floor it's to funny! Love the Rapunzal meet and greet looks like ye had fun

A Sweet Ending to the Magic Kingdom

After we left the Laugh Factory it was time for the special event that I had planned to end our day and adventures at MK. This day as supposed to be our last day of the trip, but thanks to SW airlines, I found it would be cheaper to add an extra day to our trip then to fly home on Friday (even when you add another night of hotel costs, food, etc.)…what’s one more day in the most magical place on earth?! My mom wanted to know if there was something special we could do in WDW that she could pay for and of course that same week she asked

1dessertparty.jpg

Became available for this night! So of course I had to immediately book and my mom was thrilled with something she could give the family for Christmas. We were scheduled to be seated at 8:00. But through one of my PTR followers I found out that we could be seated just as soon as the terrace opened at 7:00-7:30 so we could enjoy the Electrical Light Parade from the Terrace as well as have nice selection of desserts. My boys all have big sweet tooth, so when they saw the sign they instantly got excited, especially when they learned dinner was dessert. We lined up a little before 6:45 and ended up being the 2nd family to be seated at 7:15 and taken to our assigned table, where we ended up with a prime table 1 row back from the edge of the terrace right where Tinkerbell’s line from the castle comes into Tomorrowland…perfect view of the castle, too! It did not take the boys long to make it to the tables of every kind of dessert you could imagine!

1mkdessertparty100.jpg

Goo found the ice cream and the CM made it extra magical when she added lots of cherries to his little bit of ice cream. Ab found the cookies and milk, while Boo and I both found the chocolate covered strawberries…and for me the crème Brule, too!

We sampled everything there was, and loved almost everything. While seated I kept trying to get my family to pay attention once again to the Electric Light Parade going on in the hub, but again they were parade haters and Goo kept wrapping the CM around his finger for more cherries…she even came over to our table at one point and brought him more! She told us that he reminded her of her grandson and that all little boys need to be spoiled! Thanks…With our fill of dessert (and a few strawberries not eaten tucked in my bag for breakfast) the lights dimmed and we ended our day in MK with Memories and Wishes…from the perfect spot along the railing.

We left MK that night with sweet memories of our time there and anticipation for what was in store for us our last day (little did I know as my family was dreaming they were staging a hostage takeover of my last day touring plan)…

I hope he didn't hear the CM saying all little boys need to be spoiled because I can just picture "I want that" "no" "but the lady in disney said I need to be spoiled" :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Whew! i finally had time this morning to get all caught up on the updates. Reading them goes so well with my morning coffee. Whatever am I going to do when your TR is finished! waaaaaah:sad1:

First of all, all your scrap pages are amazing. Mine are so simple and boring and i don't really journal on them at all so I am really impressed with yours. I get impatient to move on to the next page so I just do things really simple, one day I'll regret not doing more journaling I'm sure.

Secondly...that dessert party sounded perfect! I can never get enough dessert.

i'd say all in all you guys had a very successful trip. Exhausting and full for sure! Can't wait to hear what went on the final day:goodvibes

:cheer2: AMAZING trip report, I've been reading it from front to back for days & I've enjoyed it so much. Hate to see it come to an end, what a great job you've done & what a great family. Thanks for sharing! :wave2:

Did not take you long to catch up! :lmao: We have been to quiet lately on facebook. I miss you ladies so much! Only 14 more months!

Cannot even tell you how excited that I am that we are almost at our booking window... And..... we can start our PTR!! Oh the insanity!!

I have been really wondering how I will get to try one of those margaritas when I have dd in tow. Did you just pop in and then take it with you?

We will try anything and everything on Ladies Trip! If I nor anyone else is sick, Im not opposed to sharing! We could even bring collapeable cups in our park bags and split them up like that! That way we can taste more without stumbling all over the parks hahaa :rotfl2:

I was thinking ahead and it looks like I have less than 10 more updates to go to finish this TR...wow, that makes me really sad to think about! I thought I was going to be relieved but now I am starting to feel that empty feeling I got when I returned from the trip...how crazy is that?

I hate that feeling.

Love all your updates. I missed too many to comment on all together. I need to get my butt in gear and finish mine. I know I won't do it justice cause I've forgotten a lot.
