Sounds like a great start to your trip. Maybe next time I can time it a little better to at least have a couple days of overlap hehe.

The painting at the CSR hasn't been too bad, but then again, my sense of smell may be somewhat dulled. It does mar the look of the resort a bit though, but I'm super interested in how they make the magic, more-so than just experiencing it.

At any rate, can't wait to hear more.

I only say that because I too am a terrible flyer. I have to seriously drug myself up now after one too many times of combination panic/motion sickness attacks. A terrible combination if I do say so myself.

I'm late, but here. The story of my life . I have a feeling you are about to destroy my Christmas budget. We are supposed to stay at Pop for the Secret Christmas trip (shhhhh!), but I REALLY want to switch back to the CSR!!! Can't wait to hear about your trip.

No, you aren't late...we've just gotten started. I probably won't get an update done until tonight (first day back at work and my desk looks like a twister hit).

OK... Here are my observations on your first post... and let me know when you want me to help you with the links.

$400 for the flights... not too shabby! I hate flying but you obviously hate it more than me! And I agree with Liesa.. AIRTRAN?????? At least you had a good experience.

You landed 20 minutes early and you had beautiful weather? SCORE!!!!!

So Waffle House was the lunch of choice? I've usually eaten there at the early hours in the morning 3-4-5am after leaving the clubs in Panama City. That was back in the good 'ol days.. Trash plates were the BOMB at that hour!

I'm glad you liked the Cabanas.. we really enjoyed the location of 8B.. close to everything! How awesome that you had a few treats waiting for you in your room... who am I kidding? LOOK at all that STUFF!!!!

How thoughtful of Karen & Tom.... nice bag too! Maybe I should get one that says 'that's nice' on it!!!! LOL

There was no need for a card...we talked online.

Actually, it was dinner at Waffle House by the time we stopped there. I guess we get lucky and always pick a clean one.

I loved the Cabanas--it was a great location (and an upgrade to water view again).

You should get a bag with "that's nice" on it; however, you'd probably not be able to enjoy your trip because EVERYONE would be stopping you.

The Ft. Myers is a really nice airport (and they have Starbucks!). Nope...don't like Cracker Barrel...I think the pancakes are blah and I think their syrup is gross.

Thank you for joining. We've stayed at only four resorts, but CSR is our favorite and we keep goikng back. I think because we are constant return visitors to the CSR (this was our 9th stay), they like to give us a little treat.

Okay, we left off with a picture of the towel animal we received in our room on the night of our arrival. After we unpacked and marveled over our goodies, we took a few pictures in the room and a walk around the resort.

Sorry some of the pictures are blurry, I'm still learning this camera (and it's only a digital).
