I need some advice on a couple things guys:

My DW wants me to bring her some pomegranate vodka...believe me I was really surprised because she hardly ever drinks alcohol! What do you guys think is the best way for me to bring it? Should I wrap it up with bubble wrap and check it as luggage for the flight? Will it definitely break...probably break...not likely to break or what? I am planning on retrieving it at MCO and carry-on the ship. We have exactly no time to spare for any trips to the store, etc.

We're not very dressy people I guess you would say. Are we going to look like total dorks if we don't have really dressy clothes to wear? I was thinking a couple chinos, a few collared polo type shirts, maybe one button down, that's it. I mean we are on vacation right? Or not so much?

Thanks for the help! See you guys next Friday...the 13th! And...the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's MV....

@Pete, If you would like I could pick you up a bottle since I will be driving and give it to you at the disboards meet. Just let me know what you want size and all. I don't think you will be overly happy if the bottle breaks in flight.

Hi Tom. Thank You so much for the offer. I'm going to chance it with checked baggage on the airline. I wrapped the bottle in two layers of closed cell foam, then two more layers of bubble packaging, then double wrapped in large ziplock bags just in case the worst happens. You're right, I'm not going to be happy if disaster strikes but I'm going to be optimistic about it anyway!

hepburn: sorry about the T word reference. Didn't mean to offend.

ONLY 5 MORE DAYS...Hxxx Cxxx!!!

Hey all. Can’t wait until Friday! Will be cruising with my wife and two daughters, ages 13 and 12. Anyone else with daughters that age on this cruise?

Joe

Paul...not offended at all. The Titanic issue has become a joke in our family. My husband and I have poor travel luck so everyone thinks it is pretty funny that we are leaving on Friday the 13th and will be sailing on the anniversary of the Titanic sinking.

Sounds like your bottle will be pretty well protected. I once packed 6 bottles of wine in a suitcase and they were in one piece at the end of the trip!!

Anyone else getting into port the day before?

Only a few more days to go!!! Packing is done minus last minute stuff!

There is couple of us staying at the Country inn and Suites.

In 29 hours we'll be heading to Orlando!!! Oh how i can't wait for some relaxation!

We received an email yesterday our St Marteen excursion has been cancelled. Any suggestions and what are others doing? Family of 4 two 8yr olds.

We're just doing st. Maarten on our own-taking a taxi over to the beach to watch airplanes and take pictures. Good luck!

Just gotta make it through the work day...

We just booked a few weeks ago. Wanted one last 7 night MAGIC cruise before it left Florida. Very sad. I prefer the smaller ships but living close by Port Canaveral, I guess the Fantasy will be our new ship. We already have some of them booked.

So, add Teena and Bob, Cabin 6066, on the list.
