When I made my reservation a couple months ago I made it for AKL Pool view w/ Bunk Beds and when I made the reservation I was told that were not any AAA discounts available for that room type at that time. So, I was OK with paying rack rate, I budgeted for it and we knew that's what we wanted so that's ok.
So on the day we are getting ready to depart and drive down, I called to inquire about any deals they might have for Poly or GF, just in case I got lucky. No availability at either of those, so I just happened to ask if they could apply my AAA discount to my existing reservation and what do you know it was available. Saved us almost $300.
It was so worth the quick call on a whim, I am glad that I did it. I am hoping this bodes well for the entire trip and that we have a magical week. Here's hoping for more Pixie Dust.
