Great start minus the tantrum wannabe....lol Can't wait to read more.

Loved the update!I can so relate to the whole tantrum episode on the airplane. Even though he was older than Everett is, we had a bit of the same issues during Reid's first flights this past December. He did much better on our last trip. What a good idea that stewardess had to make the shaker with the pretzels & cup! I'm hoping I can remember that idea for the next time we fly.
We are right there with you when it comes to not paying for a seat when DS was under 2! And I love Everett's backpack/leash! Colby has the Mickey one!
Our latest flight down to WDW was similar to yours, only it was a night flight and everyone was trying to sleep! Fortunatly most people wear their ear buds these days, so I do not think they heard much of Colby's fussing. We also flew Southwest and the lucky 3rd seat person was a member of a college Lacross team! Poor guy...
Looking forward to reading your adventures of Toddlerhood at WDW. We will be heading back in August right in the midst of the Terrible Twos!
I'm joining in. Great job so far
We waited until our DD was 5 for her first trip so I have never been on a plane with an infant or toddler. We are planning to have more kids and I always tell DH we will take those kids when they are younger, maybe 2ish. I am terrified of having to make the plane trip though. It sounds awful being stuck up in the air and not being able to get up at least, but unless we want to make the 24 hr drive from CT there is really no choice.
My DH made the "I am never coming to Disney again!!!" announcement this trip too. Good luck with thatI do plan on giving us a few years off to go other places, but once Fantasyland is done we'll be on a plane down.
No, we were not at Disney in Oct. 2010...I'm a teacher so we usually have to go when the crowds are there (with a few exceptions)!
I'm glad the snack tray made it with you! Strollers can really make or break your vacation! We took 2 last year because my in-laws took the auto-train and we drove a lot. This time we will not have a car, so I got a new to us (used) stroller that combines the best features of the two strollers we did have.
Reading with great interest--we leave in a few weeks with our 2 year old! Loving your adventures!
Ah...the adventures of traveling with a toddler! So far you've done a great job of good luck at having no major meltdowns (I consider the meltdown so far a minor one compared to ones I've had with my 5 children) and were able to arrive at your resort in one piece. You are a beautiful family and I am anxious to read more!![]()
The good thing about planes, in my opinion, is that the seats are high and there is noise, so even a screaming baby, and we have had one a couple of times, is only heard in the area just around where you are sitting. Usually, by a couple of rows in front or in back, it's just not that big of a thing.
I'm so glad your snack tray was there. I was stressing along with you, afraid you were going to be scolded by a grumpy hubby.![]()
Hi! I'm not sure if you got my PM but I've found some more podcasts that are so helpful so thanks! Obviously I found your new trip report too. I love this trip report...I laughed out loud a couple times! Can't wait to read more!
I have asked for Disney gift cards for my birthday and Christmas from my family for the past few years. It works out well for everyone, since my family knows that they are getting me something I will really use, and I just save them up until it is time to take a Disney trip. I had almost $200 saved up, so that really helped with paying off the hotel bill!
I was then really happy I had detoured to Walgreens that morning to pick up some batteries.
DH and I had stayed once in the Alligator Bayou side, the night we got engaged, so I was eager to explore it once again.

Ooh your husband must be my husband's long lost brother.
My husband always leaves everything to the last minute and then proceeds to forget to do it all together
Glad you found a way to get a new charger for your camera!
Joining in! I like your writing style, very funny!
It is not a real vacation unless there is at least one blow-up. Although I have to admit I would have lost my mind if my camera charger had been left at home.Hopefully everything is smooth sailing from here on out.
I just caught up on your updates! Isn't it always the biggest relief and sense of accomplishment when you can transfer your sleeping baby around without waking them up? At least that's how I always felt. I felt so sick to my stomach for you about the camera charger. Not having a camera in Disney is one of the worst feelings in the world. My DH has started saying that he wants to stay at Port Orleans one day. I've told him no because we live in south Louisiana & it's like being at home. But, your pictures look really nice & may be changing my mind a bit!
Beautiful place, and I hope you were able to forget the fighting and recapture some of what you had felt before on your engagement night.![]()
