A Dole Whip in my hand & my toes in the sand: CBR/Poly Split Stay – This Is The Life!

WOW!!! I cannot believe y'all get that kinda snow in October!! It's like we are in two different countries from where y'all are to where we live!!! Isn't that wild?!! We are suppose to be highs of upper 60-lower 70s today...sunny and clear...little bit of wind..not much, just breezy I guess....It's reaaaaally pretty out there right now...yesterday was kinda weird...the cold front came in and it was cloudy and chilly all day!! We were all kinda draggin' from the extremes! LOL...

I hear you about the SNOW!!! UGH It is way too early. We are on the rain snow line so I'm hoping we don't get to much. They're saying 2"- we'll see. Both my DSs have games in the morning and one is away.
I love the tree of life. All those animals carved into it- amazing!
Looking forward to more! :)

Deb

It stopped and all melted now. I'm still not happy about it!! :headache: It's raining now. DS has a soccer game tomorrow too. :upsidedow

We really got up close to the Tree of Life this time. It is very neat!

Your lunch looks pretty good. Yum. :thumbsup2

It was good! :thumbsup2
DH lost a bottle of Listerine once, I told him put it in his checked luggage but we both know how well men listen :rotfl:

I can not get over all the birds at CBR. Love the pics of the tree in AK.

It started snowing here about an hour ago (noon) looks to be about an inch on the ground so far they predicted 6-10+ for where I am. I am so ready to move to FL this is just too early.

Are the boys going as snow men for trick or treat? Crazy

Glad you are making lots of $ working for your next trip and stay at the Poly maybe?

The weather man just cut in on the tv and said they are updateing the snowfall amounts 10-15+ Holy Crap :scared1:

10-15 inches??? Already? :faint: I hope you don't get that much!!

I hear ya, I am so ready to move south!! ::yes::

I don't know if we will stay at the Poly next time or not. I'm thinking probably not. We'd like to try some of the other Deluxe resorts. Maybe the YC or BC next time.......We will definitely get back to the Poly sometime soon though! :thumbsup2

We usually don't get snow in October, but it's not unheard of either. I think the east coast is getting hit with this storm. We shouldn't see too much over here, thankfully.

You are so lucky to be able to enjoy a nice sunny warm fall!!

I would definately try BC next time. We stayed there last year. Your boys would love SAB! I loved the walk to Epcot and the BW at night so fun!!!

I think your boys would definately like SAB at the YC/BC. The year we stayed at YC we never did get to check it out the one day we went to head down there it was so packed we went to the YC quiet pool and hottub instead but I am not sure but just looking at SAB I think it looks like they must have made it larger since we stayed there, I know they built the BC Villas after we stayed there.

Now they are saying 12-18 inches it has been a steady 2 inches per hour :scared1: Lots of power outages 300,000 so far ours blinked off and came back on like 4 times. Oh and there has been thunder and lightening too

Did Jact go out to see his first snow?

We stayed at the BWI in 2010 and we loved being able to walk to Epcot!! :goodvibes So I'm thinking every other time between the MK and Epcot area would be nice!! :cloud9:

Well how much snow did you actually get??? I hope you didn't lose your power!

Jack barked and growled at the snow. It was hilarious!!:rotfl:

We didn't get any snow, but lots of rain. My puppy slid accross the deck this morning as the rain had frozen!
We love the BC and BWI, going to try WL for thr first time in Jan.

Hi there! I know I'm late jumping in on this bandwagon, but I am new to the Disboards and this is my first TR I have subscribed to :thumbsup2

I have booked my family's first ever trip to the World for this coming Feb and we are staying at the Poly, so I am VERY interested to see that part of the trip report. Although, it is great so far too :woohoo: I never even considered CBR because of its size, but you make it look so good. Maybe I shouldn't saved some $$ and stayed there :)

By the way....we live in Maine and we got 15 inches yesterday! It is slowly melting, but boy! I am not ready for winter just yet!

Shelly...that,my friend is hilarious!!!:rotfl:

Hope all your kiddos have a blast tonight!! We are doing something we have never done--turning out the lights and no candy give outs! The last couple of years, we have had only a couple of trick-or-treaters, so I have to be Scrooge and not waste the $$ on candy that my kids are going to eat!:rotfl: Too, dh got up with his back KILLING him today, so he stayed home from work and is asleep as we speak..poor thing- he only has 11 days to get over it!:wizard:

Aw, your poor puppy! :sad2: Stupid ice! :headache:

I think the WL would be nice for a winter trip, it looks very cozy. :goodvibes

Welcome!! :goodvibes You're not that late - I'm not even half way through!! And the best half is yet to come!! :thumbsup2

You are going to LOVE the Poly!! ::yes:: But yes, CBR is very nice as well and not near as big as people make it out to be. We actually love the spacious grounds - with that comes a large food court and a large pool!!

15 inches?! :scared1: Yikes! Hope it all melts away soon.

Yay!!! I know!! I am sooo excited..dh woke up with his back hurting again pretty bad today...he is home from work today resting it, possibly tomorrow too--we gotta get ready!!!

:lmao:LOVE the dog pictures Shelly!!!!

Was he trying to get out of his costume by rolling on the floor? Cody does that when we put a bandana on him! I can only imagine a whole costume would put him over the edge. He's already pretty neurotic!

was your DS able to play his DS with those green fingers?

 Thanks! Jack didn't mind the costume or bandanna, but he hated that hat! So yep, he was trying to roll and bite it off. :rotfl:

Apparently nothing can stop them from playing their DS's.

CUTEST. PIC. EVER!!!!!!

I'm talking about Jack, not the boys! I'm not quite sure how to describe their costumes! :scared1: I guess they have outgrown the days of Spiderman and Ninja turtle. ;) That is one pet costume I have never seen before. I love how Jack is biting on the hat string! :rotfl2:

I hope y'all have a fun Halloween and trick-or-treating. Does Jack go along with you or does he stay home and give out candy? ;)

:lmao: Nope, there's nothing cute about the boys costumes anymore!:rotfl:

We got Jack's costume at Target! We saw it and just had to have it!!

Our trick-or-treating was over the weekend. Yep, Jack came with us! He thinks he's a person after-all!:laughing:

Love Jack's costume!
I am not a Halloween fan (DH is out trick or treating as we speak) so i know what you mean about the costumes get worse as they get older. :(
Dh and DS always take the dog along trick or treating. It's his third halloween yr. 1 he was a Boston Bruin yr 2 a N.E. Patriot this yr. a Boston Celtic is there a theme going on here? lol (too bad there's no basketball this year)
