A DISmeet here..a DISmeet there..Our August Southern Tour- Final Posts - #544!

I just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you and am sorry you have so much going on right now.

Thank you, it means a lot!:hug: I just had a lot of hope going into the appointment, only to have it crushed. :worried: I continue to pray that your house sells and your doggie gets better. How is she doing? I hope she's acting like nothing's wrong :goodvibes although the bills say otherwise! :scared1: I think I remember reading someone that VB stands for Virginia Beach? My older sister lives right outside of VB in umm, Norfolk ::yes::. Her boyfriend is in the Navy :) I grew up in coastal NC, my folks really miss the beach, me not so much... :confused3 Just never was a beach fan, more of a mountains person.

:offtopic: Since this is Lisa's trip report, I hope your weekend ends well! Bet you and Megan are getting :hyper::hyper::hyper: for the trip! :yay:

thanks for the scrap and card love Andrea!

I'm trying to print my photos every couple of months so I don't get to far behind, again! hope you can get some of your's done soon!

how is little Penny doing?

happy you are getting some extra work! even if it means we don't see you as much!

would be great if you all could come out here some day, would be happy to be your tour guide!

Meredith, yes we are getting  for the trip, just doing laundry today and a bit of packing!

Yes, I'm in Va Bch and my dh is in the Navy. He retires in two years and then hopes to move back to the mountains -- he's from UT originally and hates all the flat land we have here. Who knows what will happen though. He could have retired already but with the bad economy decided to stay in a couple of extra years.

Doggie is acting like nothing is wrong and while giving her all these pills is a royal pain, she likes the bonus treats! Her brother likes them even more! I have to cut the liver pill in 3 b/c it's sooooo big so she gets the pieces wadded up in bread or turkey. Her antibiotic is 1.5 pills twice a day so I'm cutting pills and trying hard to stay on schedule. Thankfully the antibiotic is only for one week.

See above -- Penny is doing fine. Just hope her blood work next month shows improvement so we no longer have to worry.

You are so smart to stay on top of your scrapping. I need to get motivated to start again. I have fun once I get going.

Stopping in to say "hi" again... Gosh - I always think I keep up really well, then I get here and realize it's been a week! So sorry!

I loved the cards you made, and the expo haul! I can't believe you have that many FINISHED albums! Amazing!!! I think I have 3? LOL

Andrea... I missed what is going on with Penny... I hope she is doing better? I wish you'd post some of this stuff in my TR, so I don't feel like a total heel when I read about it later... At least a link to the most up to date information in your life would be good. (((Hugs my friend)))

D~

Wow... love all the stuff you made. I went from scrapbooking to sewing. Not sure which has cost me more though:rotfl: ----> probably sewing since I know have an addiction to machines and fabric:rolleyes1

yes I do:

12 albums for each year of Megan's Life
1 Dance Album which is full will start new one
2 bday albums
3 xmas albums
1 santa photo album
2 NYC trip ablums
1 AK cruise album
1 HI cruise album
1 disney cruise album
17 DLR and WDW albums - can you tell we LOVE DISNEY! (38 trips to DLR and 6 to WDW since 2002)
1 album of Jim's photos birth until we met in 1993

I still want to work on our wedding photos, photos of 1993 - 2000 of Jim and I and photos my mom gave me of my early years. I am current on all of our recent photos.

:scared1: WOW that is amazing. I only made a few and it took years to do those.

Oh neat, it's such a small world! :goodvibes My sister is just 23, her boyfriend graduated from the Naval Academy and now works on the (U.S.S.?) Donald Cook. He's only doing the five year mandatory service though, then leaving. Thanks to your husband or his service to our country! I agree, not a fan of flat land. Didn't realize how dull the landscape is in coastal NC :rolleyes2 until I moved to the piedmont and visited. I've been to Utah, it has a gorgeous landscape! ::yes::

Gotta love doggies! :thumbsup2 Glad she is acting normal and enjoying her pills. My dog jumped up on us to greet us two days after her knee surgery! :scared1: And she never even jumps normally. She thinks pills are just extra treats, probably wonders what she did to deserve so many :)

Good luck packing Lisa, and that was an impressive amount of scrapbooking!

Thanks Michelle....scrapping isn't cheap either, but thankful for coupons and sales!
having just one kid and not working full time at jobs gives me lots of time to scrap!

So exciting, congratulations again to Megan! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
What a fun birthday month, two trips to Disneyland!:banana: I'm guessing we have close birthdays, mine is the 20th. :goodvibes I guess becoming a teenager does deserve a two trips to Disneyland. :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Can't wait to see the TRs! Will you take any pictures of their performance, or no because of privacy issues with the other girls? I'd love to at least see her costume(s), that was my favorite part of dance! :goodvibes

**EDIT** Here's a picture of little Meredith in one of her ballet costumes! :dance3:

I love all the costumes! :goodvibes:goodvibes And the younger pictures are too cute for words! :cutie::cutie: I wish I could find my other two pictures, the next year was a Disney themed recital, and I did a Mary Poppins tap dance and a ballet dance to the theme song from American Adventure!

Congrats on DLR twice in March!!!

OK - I just have to say that I LOVED all the dance pictures of Megan! I've seen a few of them, but it was really fun "watching her grow up"... Some of the pictures look just like her and some of them don't - LOL But she is adorable in each and every one of them!

Good luck with your commute, hope you know some back roads! When the president came here (to my university), I wound up going to the ER. :rotfl: Luckily they had only shut down the freeway going in the other direction. :thumbsup2 Good times. Where are the flying cars we were supposed to have by now?

The final countdown has begun! I know my ticker says 6 days, but its really 5 days, I never changed it when I switched our airline tickets to fly out Thursday night.

going to work on :laundy: and pack everything I can over the weekend, have a couple get togethers to plan for our time in Atlanta, call the golf courses we are visiting on Monday to see if they will "allow" us on and get all my batteries charged! and my most favorite :rolleyes1 thing in the world to do CLEAN HOUSE :rotfl2: can't leave a dirty house while I'm gone.

running a couple errands today and watch the Olympics between to do list!

have a wonderful weekend!
