On to the entrees! Let's start with the kid's meals:
DS and DNee both ordered the same thing - the spaghetti with veal meatballs and pomodoro sauce. Now...I hate the idea of veal. I just do. But oh my, were these delicious!!!
DS's
I didn't take a photo of DNee's, because it was exactly the same. DH also ordered the adult size and he loved it...I tried to take a photo to compare the sizes, but I think we're looking at an accidental example of forced perspective here:
DH's in back doesn't really look much bigger, does it? DS's was a little more than half the size.
Both DS and DNee liked their meals and DH loved his:
With some cheese and a huge chunk of cheese that I think he just broke up and mixed in. I tried a little and it was so good!
Now...here is where I fall down on the job. I should have taken a photo of the menu, but I thought I'd go back to Allears and double check. But there have been some changes so I can't find some of the adult items on there...

This drives my perfectionistic self crazy so I might have to go back and take a photo of the menu outside. So, to the best of my recollection:
DSIL's - pasta with some sort of cream sauce and lump crabmeat:
She liked this very, very much...all the whiteish activity on top of the pasta is more crab meat. I am not a big crab fan (with the exception of Deadliest Catch, but I digress...) so I did not try this.
DNep's Entree #1 - Bucatini Gratinati...
more on this later, as I ordered the same thing!
DNep's Entree #2 - This was listed as a pork chop of some sort:
Story: DNep wanted the Bucatini because it is similar to something DB makes at home. DB also wanted it and had a pretty strong feeling DNep would not care for this version. So he ordered something he knew DNep would like and was just waiting for DNep to say he didn't care for the Bucatini and wished he'd ordered DB's entree. Very funny! DB was dead on that one!
DNep loved his meal and we all tried the broccoli rabe and it was really interesting and good.
Me - Bucatini Gratinati from the outside:
from the inside:
DB liked his a lot....as for me? Oh.My.God....! This is large spaghetti type noodles tossed with fresh peas and diced prosciutto ham in a parmesan cream sauce. Then it is covered with tons of pecorino cheese and baked. This is extremely rich and just delicious. I love me some cheese and I couldn't eat all the pecorino on top - too much! And I left about 1/3 of this.
To put the "I left this much" of whatever (Tonga Toast, Pasta, etc) into perspective, I am not a small eater so this isn't typical. WDW portions are just so big and some of the food is just really rich!
Our server was wonderful...he and his assistants had soda refills ready, he was charming and unobtrusive, and he served me my entree by saying "and the bucatini per la bella signora". How can you NOT love someone who serves you incredibly rich Italian food and declares it's for the beautiful lady?
(Even though he was full of it because this was after a hot afternoon and just coming out of a fresh rainstorm so beautiful, I was not...

But I still loved it!)
Dessert was next and it was so hard picking!
Again, the kid's had great choices - gelato sundae, assorted gelato or sorbets, or chocolate mousse.
DS wanted the blood orange sorbet:
This came with a little Italian cookie and he ate every bite. Very happy with this!
DNee chose the chocolate mousse:
This was a chocolate cup filled with chocolate mousse topped with whipped cream and a chocolate straw. She absolutely loved it and I was so impressed how elaborate it was. She ended up covering it with more chocolate sauce from DH's dessert.
DNep loves chocolate ice cream so he picked the chocolate gelato:
You can't really see from the photos, but his adult portion was quite a bit bigger than DS's kids'.
He was very happy with this!
DH orderd the profitteroles - cream puff pastry filled with vanilla gelato and covered at the table with hot chocolate sauce:
He absolutely loved this. I tried it and thought they were good, but I prefer my cream puffs with whipped cream. The chocolate sauce was hot and rich and there was a lot of it! DH had plenty and then we shared it with DNee.
DSIL chose the Gianduja - Chocolate Torta - chocolate and hazelnut torte with whipped cream and raspberry sauce
She said this was incredibly rich but very good.
DB asked our server to pick something for him and he chose a cake covered in cream and fruit. He liked it very much:
I love tiramisu and I knew I should order it, but it sounded rich and after my dinner I wanted something lighter. I ended up going with the $14 (yes, not a typo!) Copetta Sotto Bosco - berries, zabaglione cream gelato and chocolate sauce:
This was wonderful! There was a small cookie in the bottom, covered with tons of berries - blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries - then topped with zabaglione gelato and fresh whipped cream. Oh yes, and some chocolate sauce, but that was extraneous to the fruit and cream. Perfect after such a rich dinner.
I loved this so much more than I thought I would and it was great to try a totally new place. We had never been to Alfredos either so this was our first foray into Italy. The prices are expensive, but I can sortof understand why now.
huge thumbs up!
