Well, it's almost time for us to head to WDW....and we have a few more questions...

We want to buy AP's, and are debating PAP's. We're fairly confident that we won't need the "premium" part of the AP's for this trip in December, but our next trip in August, we will probably hit a water park or 2. So do we have the option of buying the AP's and then upgrading later? If so, would the rate for the upgrade be prorated based on how long we have left on the AP's?

Also, we were going to buy the AP's when we arrive in WDW. Can we purchase them at the resort & then activate them at MK when we go there after check-in? Should we buy them before we go & then activate them there?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

If you upgrade the AP it will not be prorated. If you buy the AP at the resort it is ready to go. No need to activate anywhere.

Just to clarify, the Disney resorts themselves do not sell AP's. You would have to purchase it at a theme park ticket booth or at a Guest Relations location at the parks or at DTD.

The premium part of the AP makes sense if you make four or more visits in any order or combination or repetition to the plus venues -- water parks, Disney Quest, Pleasure Island.

For this calculation, figure a week of Pleasure Island as one visit. Most of the time you can get five more nights for five more dollars when you buy a single all clubs admission.

Since there is no discount on AP's except to Disney Vacation Club members, you might as well buy the AP at the moment you need it, which is, just outside the park you are going to enter.

Where in Magic Kingdom would we purchase the AP's when we get there?

Thanks!

Thanks! I appreciate the help!
