Let's see if we can get to 1000 posts quicker than we did 500. It might be that we would stay off the second page.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. It is unusually warm here today with the temperature hitting 70 degrees. Smola09 is really busy with baseball pracitice 6-7 days a week because he is in 2 leagues. I am daily day dreaming about this wonderful cruise we get to be a part of. Can't wait to find out if they will let us use the theater for our meet and greet.

I found some information out on some of the ports we are going to.

1. On an island near Antigua there is an active volcano
2. Barbados has my favorite Rum Factory: Malibu Rum!!!!

DH and I have been to Barbados before. Never went shopping in Bridgetown but did go downtown to the "Post Office" :moped:

We really enjoyed the tour of Harrisons Cave. Where you get to go down into the cave on the car tram and they make stops and you can take pictures. It was a really enjoyable tour. (We took many, many pictures)

We also went on the Jolly Roger Pirate cruise (They have one in Antigua as well) and it was a great afternoon. We were served a lunch on the boat and then you are given the choice of going to the island to spend time on the beach or you can stay on the boat and "walk to plank" or swing off the rope. Plus it is all the Rum Punch you can drink. And it isn't exactly weak Rum Punch either. pirate: :boat:

Aside from these I cannot wait to here what excursions Disney is going to have.
So I will continue to sit here and wait :bored: and try not to bother DH too much with all my excitment :hyper2:

Malibu Rum factory and Jolly Roger's Pirate cruise, sounds like heaven. I think my boys would love the pirate thing since they all love the water.

I am ready for spring to arrive here in Ohio. Warm weather and longer days brings us that much closer to our Disney cruise.

It sounds like everyone on this thread is Disney dreamin just like my family. It's hard to concentrate at times especially at work because I am so excited.

:cool1:  :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay:

Hello! I'm just peeking in to see what's going on. I'm glad to hear that spring has sprung up north. I remember how great it felt when the warmer weather finally came our way!

Welll, we close on our current house tomorrow and have to be moved out by Friday. Our daughter is in Mobile, AL playing Spring Nationals (a tennis tournament), my husband is working and that leaves me and our toddler home packing! :rolleyes2 What a week. :wave2: On top of it all, my dad had knee replacement surgery last week, so I've spent a few hours everyday looking after he and my mom! Fortunately, we have a trip planned in late May...and this AWESOME cruise next September. Somedays, that's what keeps me going! ::yes::

Talk to you all next week. Have a good one! :cheer2:

Lisa

hookedonmagic hope your move goes well.

I for one cannot wait for spring to come around up here. Its -16celsius (3 fahrenheit) here today and it is suppose to stay that way all week :(
Nothing like a whole lot of white stuff to keep the temperature way down

Oh well soon enough the snow will be gone and we will be on a plane to enjoy the sun :sunny:
:cheer2: :yay:

Sounds like you have your hands full. Good luck with everything. :wizard:

Hello Everyone!
I will be cruising with y'all and thought I'd say Hi! I am also on the First Double Scoop Cruise in May and currently trying to find info on the "Mystery at Sea" which, if you have not seen it yet, is Disney's way of giving us clues as to the itinerary for its "Special Cruises" in 2007... So far we have coordinates for the ship everywhere from New York to Ireland, to Honolulu! :confused3 It's craziness! LOL... :lmao: but, it is fun! :thumbsup2

I will not be on here all that much until a month or so before the trip, so if y'all need me for anything, send me a PM, and count me in on everything...! I have no idea who I'll be travelling with as I recently broke up with my girlfriend, but, I'll figure it out before then! lol..

Nice to meet all of you! :grouphug:

We'll be there as well. We were just off the Magic one day when we saw the Florida resident price for this one. My parents who have cruised 60+ times will be taking their first DCL cruise with us also. They will be celebrating an anniversary on board (9/10) and it will be my 56th birthday (9/8)....so, we'll have fun!

Hello to all the new folks. We are glad to have you aboard.

T.G.I.F. and Happy St. Patrick's Day to all. Hope everyone has a great day and no one drinks too much green beer. :drinking1

We are going out to dinner tonight for, you guessed it, corned beef and cabbage. Needless to say our 3 boys are less than thrilled and will definitely order something else. :)

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Well we are on our way to the Disney store to check out the sales. Hopefully we will have good luck.

I wonder how much longer it will be before DCL releases the excursions. I hope it will be soon. My children have been asking a lot of questions about what will be different about the 10 day cruise.

Have a good Saturday everyone. Keep on Disney dreamin'.

171 days to go.......

Everyday my son says..."tomorrow is my birthday so we can go on Mickey Mouse's Cruise". :rotfl2: Day 2 of our cruise is his 5th birthday.

Yesterday we were watching the DCL on the travel channel and he was calling it his cruise ship...

Have a great time on the Double Dip! If I had told dh about that one he would have insisted on taking that cruise, also. :lmao: He LOVES Castaway Cay!

Where is everyone?? Did you all get lost on another thread?? :)

This is the reason that I haven't been online this week ----

Tuesday afternoon Claire (4 and very small -- 29lbs) was helping me wash the car. She got mud on her feet and wanted them cleaned off. I went to get the hose and while I turned around she went inside. I asked Brian where she was at and he told me that she went inside --- my first thought was *My floors were just mopped yesterday and I didn't want her tracking mud all through the house* As soon as I stepped in the doorway I heard the crash......

I ran to the downstairs bathroom (a very small half bath) and she had fallen off the counter and landed on the side of her head. I called Jon and then had her sit next to me for a little bit to make sure she was OK. After about 30 - 45 mintues she started vomiting, ALOT. I called back Jon (he works less then 10min from our house) and he came home. We tok her to the ER where they did a CT scan. The worst feeling of our lives came when the Dr came in a few minutes later and said *We've arranged for a transfer by ambulance to Cooks Children's Hospital where they have Pediatric Nerousurgens that can help Claire.*
I wanted to be sick.......... She had fractured her skull and had blood on her brain. Those of you that have known me when I was pg with Claire know I have had the opportunity for a few sinking feelings! Starting when I was about 6 or 7 months pg with her. I figure God has something really wonderful in mind for her! And I can't (can) wait to see what that is!

Claire and I took our first Ambulance ride (and hopefully our last). After reveiwing her CT scan the Pediatric Nerousurgen decided to do another one the next morning (we already knew Claire was going to be admitted). They hooked her up to all kinds of machines and an IV. Gave her some medicene in her IV to stop her from vomitting -- she had been vomitting for hours now.

SHe slept lots during this time and when she was awake she was crying because her head hurt, she wanted to go home or she was scared. :( They would only give her tylenol for the pain -- they don't want to *mask* something more serious that may happen.

Jill & Karen came to the Children's hospital aroun 9 or 10 Tuesday night. Jill brought water from Loudes with her to bless Claire. :-) I hope they know how much I appreciated them doing this! They arrived right when my mom & brother were getting ready to leave and I would have been alone until my sister & nephew arrived -- at this time I didn't realize my sister was coming up that night.

Jon needed to stay home with Brian (he's 8) so, that he wouldn't be too scared. Katherine came straight to our house Tuesday night and stayed with her dad & siblings. Michael (our 26 yr old) came by for a little bit -- he is NOT a good person to have around during a crisis. :-) He gets too emotional -- like his daddy. :-) My sister said one of the reasons she & Andrew came up immediately was because Jon could hardly stop crying when he called her. :-)

My mom and one of my brothers arrived at the hospital very soon after us. Jon had called my sister (she lives about 3 hrs away). Her and one of my nephews (21) drove up as soon as they heard. My dad is out of town working (around 10hrs South) so, I told him to stay there and I would keep him posted.

My sister and nephew stayed with us at the Hospital from late Tuesday night (nidnight) until Claire was discharged around 5 -5:30pm on Wednesday.

Claire had her 2nd CT scan Wednesday morning (at 6:30 am!). It showed she still had a little blood but, it looked like it was starting to be absorbed and that was when we were told about the bruising on the opposite side of the brain.
That was when we were told that they had decided against surgery -- YEA!!!!!!!!! BUT, they would need to see her improve before they could release her. Lots of prayers got her through all of this.

She slept for most of Wednesday. She did wake up and talked NONSTOP when her dad, sisters & brother got there. :-) That was the first that she had talked without crying since it happened. My sister and I did notice that whenever someone brought her gifts she would smile really big for them --- she never smiled for her and i but, we didn't have any gifts. :-)

From about 1pm to 3pm she slept really good -- even with a room full of people talking the entire time! LOL! And when she woke up it was the difference between night and day. SHe had impoved a huge amount.
The nurousurgen's asst. came in around 4pm and was very pleased at the difference. She still hadn't drank but, a sip or two BUT, I promised the Dr that I would be very diligent on keeping an eye on claire if they would let her come home (at this point they were very pleased with her improvement).
She was allowed to leave the hospital last night around 5:30. :-)

One of the tough things is going to be keeping Claire from playing hard over the next 3 wks. :-)
She's not going to be allowed to do very many of the things that she loves. :-) Those of you that know Claire can uderstand how difficult this is going to be for us! LOL!

Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes.
Stephanie in Arlington

Stephanie - OMG, how terrifying. I am so glad everything has worked out for everyone. I couldn't even imagine how horrible that situation was. I will send you prayers and pixie dust for Claire for a fast recovery.
