Now I get an error message that says their reservation site is down and to call at 8:00am EST

That's what I've been getting since about 7pm last night. I just got selected to participate in a survey on DCL so I let them have it. I said how dissatisified I was because no one that took our calls last night seemed to take this seriously and kept saying that there was a high volume of people on the site. Obviously that wasn't true since we tried at all hours. I couldn't even book a new cruise because that had the same problems. It's the entire reservation system.

I also got everything I wanted.

Still sucks that I could have slept til 6:30 rather than 2:45 and still wound up the same. Im gonna be tired tonight

Nope, still working on it. Keep getting message that says, "website not responding." We have all the excursions but am still working on Palo.

We got the excersions we wanted, but not till 8:30AM. I was trying from 1-3AM with no success. I am tired now, hope I don't fall asleep during dinner and wind up with my face in my plate. Alex

:sad2: Although we scheduled this cruise in the early part of January, we just can't keep it due to my husband's workload in the first part of September. What a bummer..... Instead, we'll be going on the 11 day later in the month. I'm concerned w/this plan because my son is going from missing only 5 days of school to 10 because of the holidays in the first part of the month. And, of course, I've scheduled some matters over the 11 days that need to now be re-secheduled. Anyway, please strike my family from your lists as going on this cruise. So sorry!

Sandy

I was another one of those frustrated people trying to get on the Disney Cruise line website at 4:00 AM. I too went to bed and started trying again at 8:00 AM. What I thought was the most frustrating, and I don't know if you all will agree, was that when you called no one could help you. I feel like I have been trying to get on the computer for six hours :badpc:. I do have a question I hope SOMEONE can answer since DCL can't - did any one try to get High Tea Reservations? I would like to do a High Tea but it doesn't even appear on the reservations. If any one made those reservations please tell me how you did it. I/we finally did get all our reservations made but it was very FRUSTRATING but I will tell you what my friend said which made me feel much better "we never had reservations before and always had a good time". So true. So true. We just need to remember IT IS A DISNEY CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

I won't call it a Frustrating Friday. Let's now call it a Fantastic Friday. Hope you all do have a Fantastic Friday. Toodles  JEANNE

Jeanne- I got on at 7:50AM as soon as the site went back up and there was no high tea listed for Palo.

Maybe they are not going to offer it for this cruise. I cant imagine with all the sea days that its gone already.

Ginny,

I got on about the time as you and didn't see anything for High Tea either. I also think they might not be offering it.

I got almost everything we wanted...I need to figure out what else to do in Barbados....But we did get all the other one's and Palos, so we didn't do too badly....

I know what you mean Sandy. I have been up since 2:30 and worked 7 hours and then got my nails done... I must have yawned 20 times during my nail appt. Im drinking a red bull now so I dont fall asleep til normal time

We are headed out of here in about an hour to meet up with some DISers. I sure hope we can stay awake. I never did take that nap. I can't even fathom going to work for seven hours.

Hi DISers,

Finally got in to book Palo brunch, spa, and excursions:banana: As it turned out, Carlisle Bay is CLOSED during September and October (that's kind of scary... like they don't even want to have guests at the resort during the high-hurricane season--are they expecting the worst?)
So all of those DISers going to Pineapple Beach Resort, I'm with you!!!:cool1: I made reservations this morning. We should have a great time, since it seems there will be quite a few of us there.party: Thanks for the tip!!!

Also called TA to see when our stateroom might be assigned. According to DCL, they have not assigned the "guarantee" categories yet. Our TA said that is a good sign because our group (a friend from work has four more cabins linked with my res) has more than half of the cat. 12s on the ship, but they are sold out. She said they will assign upgrades based on when you booked (we booked Aug. 2005). That should mean we will have no less than a cat. 11, but could be much higher:woohoo: . The bad news is we may not know our cabin numbers until two weeks before we sail. But I could do with a pleasant surprise, since I've NEVER had an upgrade in 5 DCL cruises.:headache:

Here are our cruise plans: (Let me know it they match any of yours!)

Palo (brunch with DS): 10 a.m. Thurs., Sept. 14
St. Thomas: Shoretrips --St. Thomas Funpack on the Beach (where oldest DS will be doing the 2 tank SCUBA dive)
St. Lucia: Caribbean Pirate Extravaganza (grabbing drinks and lunch at The Limet if anyone wants to join us?)
Barbados: Still open for suggestions---any thoughts? We might do a cat trip with Shoretrips or something on our own. Would like to find a good spa or another day pass at a resort, if possible.
Antigua: Pineapple Beach Resort Day Pass with my fellow DISers!
Castaway Cay: Race ya' to a hammock.:teeth:

I'm really getting excited now!!!!!:hyper:

Hope everyone gets a good night's rest after the website problems from last night. :surfweb:

Sleep well, and enjoy sweet Disney dreams. :wizard:

DisneyGirlTinkerbell, we have Palo brunch on the same day as yours but we made it for 10:30. I am sure you will still be there when we arrive. We will also be at Pineapple Beach with you.

Had a terrific dinner tonight with some DISers. Managed to stay awake but boy has it ever hit me now.

Sleep well everyone.
