Stepht5, I hope they get all the bugs worked out so you can book your excursions.

So far the excursions we are leaning towards are as follows.

St. Thomas- Magen's Bay Beach Break
Antigua- Off Road 4x4 Jeep Safari Adventure
Barbados-5 star catamaran and turtle encounter

We have not picked anything for St. Lucia yet. Does anyone have a suggestion? What excursions are the rest of you planning?

We've got the excersions narrowed down to 2-3 at each port. We will have to get more serious by Friday. Alex

Wow, that is awesome!! Congrats! Our favorite room on the ship is a SPR 5520. BUT, we had a cat 9 on the Panama cruise and absolutely loved it on deck 2 that we requested it for this cruise. Got it and then received a free upgrade. Hope all this doesn't spoil us.

WOW Sandy you got an upgrade too - what did DCL upgrade you to? I have never gotten one. I too had a cat 9 on deck 2 for the repo cruise and liked it but I still like being higher on the ship when I can.

Ginny - Congrats on getting a SPR. I love 5520 as well. The SPR are great rooms and even better, you will know your neighbors.

We had DISers next to us on the PC cruise. We met at the boat drill and NEVER heard or saw from them again. Just like poof......they were gone.

Now that's scary. Cat 1 having problems. Did you call them?? I think I would if I were you to beat all of us on Friday! Our friend that had the Walt suite didn't have an ounce of problems by calling. They were there to help. DCL bent over backwards to accomodate her and us. Cat 1 is an awesome experience. Take advantage while you have it.

Thankfully, I was finally able to make our reservations!
My biggest concern has been that our 2 older children - 1st time DCL cruisers & in a Cat 8 - wouldn't be able to get on the same excursions. Our travel agent called and talked to DCL and they have told us that even if at 75days out our excursions are full that once we get on the ship they will handle getting them on our excursions. YEA!!!!!!!

Here are the Excursions we have planned (the reason why there are more then 1 excursion is because we are splitting up for most of the places).

St. Thomas/St. John -

Coral World Ocean & Island Drive
Magens Bay Beach Break

St. Lucia -
St. Lucia Beach Getaway (I may change this to the Tropical Waterfall Experience)
Snorkel Delight

Barbados -
Ocean Park & Swim
4X4 & Green Monkey Adventure

Antigua -
Private Island Snorkel Adventure
Off Road 4 x 4 Jeep Safari Adventure

And we may do the Stingrays on CC -- DH & 8DS did this Feb and LOVED it.

Antigua, Pineapple Beach (an all inclusive resort). We are getting a day pass. It comes highly recommended on Cruise critic.

Barbados, Kayak and Turtle Encounter

St. Lucia, tour of island, (doing this on our own through private co)

St Thomas, been here before. Doing it on our own. Magen's beach and Paradise Point

It feels so good to be ready. Now all we have to do is sit patiently and wait for Sept 2.

Barbados, Jolly Roger Pirate Excursion ( having trouble adding to my wish list but hopefully it will come up fine at 3AM - LOL)

St. Lucia, tour of island, private company

St Thomas/St John; 5 Star Snorkle Tour and then maybe Paradise Point if we have time.

I would love to see more of the unique sites of each island but DH reminded me that we have to make sure not to have the kids on too many
"what they would consider" boring excursions or they will make us miserable - LOL I guess when your 8 & 11 - Island tours arent the most exciting thing

Ginny, you are so correct. If the kids are bored it makes for a bad day! I didn't realize that you are doing Pineapple Beach as well. I am really psyched over it. It sounds sooo perfect. Just what the doctor ordered.lol

No Kayak and Turtle encounter for us. Just read that there is a 250 lb weight restriction on it per kayak. That pretty much leaves out most 2 adult teams. I called DCL and the CM told me that didn't sound right either but if I book and it is corrrect, we still have to pay for it even if we can't go. Back to square one.

I went to Pineapple Beach 2 years ago and it was great. Very relaxing. The people at this resort are very friendly and were very helpful when I organized the trip for about 30 of us. We're going there again on this trip because it is such a great deal and such a nice place. You won't regret going here.

What are people doing in regards to Palo? Brunch, Dinner or tea?
