9/4 Refund - have you checked the amount??

Until they have experienced all this frustration I would not think they would have any opinion.

I empathize and agree you have not been treated properly, BUT just because I or others aren't a part of this does not prohibit, nor should it stop us expressing our views, either pro or con on this or any other subject on these boards.
Right now things are hectic and you're furious (I'd be too) but people putting in their cyber 2cents worth is what these boards are all about :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

I just checked my credit card online and they have not issued any credit. However, they had no problem putting the onboard charges on there (the day I got off the ship).

Travis - that's great for you. So I'm wondering now why DCL is refunding some people one way and others another??? Since I have lost my mind - you were on the 7-night originally right?

I just posted a NEW thread which states:

I am hoping to use this thread for those that have been actually received a refund. That will help all of us who are looking for information on getting our refund. So, if you have received your full 50% refund, please let us know.

Full refund = (the total paid minus insurance) x 50%

PLEASE LET US KNOW.

Those of you that have received this, please post it so those of us who have not can keep a better track of what everyone is getting. Maybe this will help us in getting ours. Thanks,
Karen

We have not received the "50%" refund as yet by checking my card online.

We did received a $200 re-booking onboard credit to our card that wasn't given to us while on the ship. That was posted to our card on 9/12, the day after we got off the ship and after I phoned DCL reservations confirming the credit should have been applied. I get the feeling that why we didn't get that in first place onboard was someone saw two $200 obc's and decided we were only entitled to one. I'm guessing, have no clue really. That one is fixed anyway.

We were supposed to be on the 7-night cruise. Was really looking forward to getting that special lithograph thingy commerating the special cruises. Oh well.

I still have not rec'd my 100% refund yet. I called DCL this morning and an agent stated that I should recieve it by the END of the month. She said that they are overwhelmed processing refunds and if I do not get it by then give them a call.

I have a bad feeling I will be giving them a call at the end of the month. I think I will be giving my TA a call as well! Cover all the bases.

Hi everybody...

I wrote my heart felt 5 page letter to DCL and emailed it last week. I got a form email letter back today. I'm really sad. I don't know what I expected, but I wasn't expecting a form letter. Hopefully they read it. I mailed a copy as well.

I still haven't seen my full refund yet, but I'm trying to be patient and let my TA worry about that. She said that if Disney says 4-6 weeks, then they mean 4-6 weeks. I am thankful for my TA, she's sweet and doing all that she can for me.

I'm hanging in there with you guys......I still want to cruise. Is this roller coaster ride going to end?

That is the very reason I mailed mine certified to the President of DCL. I figured just sent to DCL you would get that response. If I get that response I will call California to Eisners office.

I was told by Mary, the supervisor, that they have a committee that reads all letters submitted to Guest Communications. She explained that they set aside a day (or maybe a morning) each week to read over the letters. She assured me and made me feel that my letter was important.

Do you think that maybe the form letter I received was just a "confirmation" that they received my letter and that they will be reading my letter committee style?

It kinda hurts my feelings to get a form letter.

Just curious, if anyone else gets a letter, can you keep us updated about your progress? I hope everyone gets a personal letter back, form letters are crummy.

Rachel

I will definately keep you up to date on teh response of the letter. I stated in the letter if it had not been for Disboards we would not none what was going on with the cruise because the communication from Disney was so bad.

Hi all. I was booked on the Sept. 5 Wonder and rebooked for the Sept. 12 sailing. Well, at the time you did not have to pay the rebooking fee but you did have to pay the difference in th price of the cruise. It ended up being $409 going from a Cat. 12 (we were already upgraded to a 11 on deck 5) to a Cat. 12 iwth second seating and I had to rebook my REAS package. I was not too happy to pay the extra $409 but I did (and figured that I could write to DCL and get it back). We got to the terminal and they did not know what room we were in. THey had us in 3 different rooms! So, we spoke to the manager and she gave us a Cat. 11 on deck 5. Okay- that sounded good. Went to the room and no bed or carpet! It was pretty funny. Went down to GS and told them the situation. I was really nice and kind of laughing about it. I also asked that they give us a nice big ocean view. Well- we got our nice big ocean view. My smile got bigger. The cruise was nice but something was missing- maybe not stopping at CC. All in all really good experience. My TA wrote and email to DCL and explained the situation. So today I go online and look at my checking account. DCL gave back the $409 and 25% of the cruise. Nice! Thank you DCL. They really do have pixie dust. I am VERY happy with the outcome of the situation. I hope all of you have the same luck.

We have received our full, 100% refund also.

WE WENT ON THE CRUISE AND RECEIVED OUR REFUND OVERNIGHT. WE ARE VERYE PLEASED..MUCH MORE THAN WE EXPECTED. I WAS AFRAID OF BEING JIPPED AND HAVING TOT DEAL WITH THAT STRESS. I HEARD OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BOOKED WITH THE 25% OFF. HAS ANYONE GOTTEN THEIR VOUCHER YET?

100% for those who ended up having to cancel their 9/4 cruise due to the changes.

I spoke to a DCL supervisor this morning and the vouchers are suppose to start being mailed out by the end of the week. If you went through a TA it will be mailed to the TA to send it to you.
