yeah jen the midnight showings are great no matter what movie you go see its nice when the movie starts it nice a quiet you dont have to worry about people whispering well other than the previews. Me and about 4 of my family members are going to see New Moon tonight i have been given the task of going and holding seats which is fine as long as i have my iPOD. Those pics are great and im jealous that you got to see sam from true blood i love that show.
The theater that Kelly works at played Twilight before the Midnight Show of New Moon. They worked it like a combo ticket, you paid $15 and you got to see both movies and stay in the same seat for both. The theater my brother works at had Stephenine Meyers do a book signing on Wednesday...he said it was crazy, girls were screaming.
At the True Blood Convention we also got to meet Godric (Allan Hyde)
He was very nice, he is only 19, and he said he was finally going back home to the Netherlands to see his family. Also he is very excited because he is going to a Backstreet Concert when he gets home....that right there totally endeared him to Kelly.
I had the most fun with Layfayette (Nelsan Ellis). We talked for a while, he was born in the same hospital Kelly was ( he is only 4 years older than she is), when we lived in the south suburbs of the Chicago, he lived about a mile away from us...he spent summers in the same small town in Alabama as I did when I was a kid. I think we were freaking him out because we had so much in common.
(Warning - Adult Language!!)My favorite part of the convention was when Kelly asked Sam to sign his picture "Smite Me Mother F***er", which is a line from the show. When she asked him he busted out laughing and said "Whoa girl....You are too funny!....and I can't believe you just said that!"
We had so much fun at the convention, Kelly is trying to get backing to do one here in Chicago....not for True Blood....she wants to do one for Glee, which we both love. It's going to be interesting to see if she can pull together backing for it!
