i do want to stay at the poly at some point, but there are some hotels that just dont appeal to me personally, i know i'm in the majority, but the GF is one of the ones that just dont appeal to me

The GF doesn't really appeal to me either. Honestly, I feel like I wouldn't be able to touch anything there for fear of breaking it. But if I had the chance to stay there, I wouldn't pass it up.

it is on my list of already stayed there but it is on another list of stayed there and not gonna stay there again i just didnt like it i felt like i was in my great grandmothers house. It to me isnt a disney resort it just doesnt give me the disney feel it is beautiful from the outside but on the inside it is "Old People" hotel well that was how i described it when i stayed there.
after going to yatch club and beach club to eat dinner i would like to stay there also greg thought SAB was amazing.

just got back from london, what can i say? fricking awesome!! they are SOOOOOO good live. and to be honest i've now got a little bit of a crush for matt bellamy! (lead singer!) :rotfl:

3 days and no posts? cant be having that!! :rotfl:

i'm sick. yesterday at disney just dragged. the day just seemed to go really slowly. i dont think it helped that i wasnt feeling well either. and today i'm just feeling like hell. i was supposed to be at the theme park but i went in this morning and my boss said i could go home. (i hate calling in sick, i'd rather go in and if they want to send me home thats ok, but i dont call in sick unless i'm REALLY bad).
so just spent the day on the couch watching tv. i think its worse than a normal cold, my skin hurts. skin shouldnt do that :( plus i cant stop coughing. i've got tomorrow off so hoping i can shake it by saturday as i'm back at disney then.

but on the up side, i've managed to book more tickets (through the pre sale!) to see Muse again next September. its at wembley in london, and i'm going with 3 of my mates.

hows everyone's week going?

I'm here. I went to a concert Tuesday night and was off yesterday so I was neglecting the DIS!

Karen, weren't you just sick like a month ago?? I hope you feel better soon! I do the same thing, I won't call out sick. I'll come in and if I feel worse, I'll just come home.

My week has been going quickly! Monday was busy, Tuesday I left early because I had to drive up to Connecticut, off yesterday, here til 6 today, and off tomorrow! Going to see New Moon! :)

are you going to the late night showing or the normal-people-daytime showing? lol

yeah i hate this time of year as i constantly seem to be ill. i seem to get rid of one cold then get another. :( thats why i need to move to florida, its warm there!!

I'm going in the afternoon tomorrow. I've done the midnight shows before but Twilight isn't a must-do for that. Harry Potter is. ;)

i like harry potter but i dont like any film enough to keep me up all night!! lol

The Half Blood Prince midnight showing was rough. We didn't get out of there til nearly 3 am. It's fun to go to midnight showings though. That's when all the die hard fans show up and you know you'll have a quiet theatre.

i still havent got round to watching that film. gary's downloaded it and we've had it on his hard drive since it came out but still not got round to watching it.

I didn't think it was anything spectacular. Better movie than most of the stuff that comes out but they could have done a better job. Make sure you clear at least 3 hours if you decide to watch it. It's loooong.

I did some online shopping for Christmas today since Disney was offering free shipping. :) I really like what I got Joe's mom. I want one!

They had a cute Donald one too http://www.disneystore.com/mickey-friends-merry-chip-mas-chip-an-dale-with-donald-duck-snowglobe-ornament/p/1251497/14844/ but I picked the other one because it had all the characters.

The Castle at Night

We spent the weekend at the Florida Hotel and Convention Center at a True Blood Convention. Had a great time there too...although I split my time between the Convention and running back to Disney (Gotta love having an Annual Pass!) Here is a picture of Sam Tramell who plays Sam Merlotte on True Blood.

He was so cute and really nice!

How's everybody doing??????

donna, luck you getting to go back so soon!! i want to go back to orlando :( its warm there and i wouldnt have half as many colds as i do here if i lived somewhere warm!

We were lucky with this trip, I used frequent flyer miles to get us there, DVC points for the hotel at Disney, then when we switched hotels for the True Blood convention it was only $80 a night. Other than our food we didn't pay much for anything.

It really wasn't too warm there, the day we were in the Studios it was about 44 out and raining. Sunday was the best day it got up to 77.

You got fantastic shots of the animals! Can't wait to go back! :yay:
Thanks! I really love this new camera, it's a Nikon and it has a sport setting...so I used that for the animal shots and thankfully I didn't have one blurry picture!

Bob just added on two days to his birthday trip....so now we are at the Poly April 30th & May 1st, then we move to BLT May 2 - May 9th. We are going to squeeze every trip we can get in before our passes expire in September!

Nice! You'll have to tell us all about BLT. I was looking at rates for the fall to get an idea of what the price would be for Sept/Oct 2011 and BLT was coming out to be less expensive than the Contemporary itself. That is definitely something to think about! :thumbsup2

yeah jen the midnight showings are great no matter what movie you go see its nice when the movie starts it nice a quiet you dont have to worry about people whispering well other than the previews. Me and about 4 of my family members are going to see New Moon tonight i have been given the task of going and holding seats which is fine as long as i have my iPOD. Those pics are great and im jealous that you got to see sam from true blood i love that show.

The theater that Kelly works at played Twilight before the Midnight Show of New Moon. They worked it like a combo ticket, you paid $15 and you got to see both movies and stay in the same seat for both. The theater my brother works at had Stephenine Meyers do a book signing on Wednesday...he said it was crazy, girls were screaming.

At the True Blood Convention we also got to meet Godric (Allan Hyde)

He was very nice, he is only 19, and he said he was finally going back home to the Netherlands to see his family. Also he is very excited because he is going to a Backstreet Concert when he gets home....that right there totally endeared him to Kelly.
I had the most fun with Layfayette (Nelsan Ellis). We talked for a while, he was born in the same hospital Kelly was ( he is only 4 years older than she is), when we lived in the south suburbs of the Chicago, he lived about a mile away from us...he spent summers in the same small town in Alabama as I did when I was a kid. I think we were freaking him out because we had so much in common.

(Warning - Adult Language!!)My favorite part of the convention was when Kelly asked Sam to sign his picture "Smite Me Mother F***er", which is a line from the show. When she asked him he busted out laughing and said "Whoa girl....You are too funny!....and I can't believe you just said that!" :rotfl:

We had so much fun at the convention, Kelly is trying to get backing to do one here in Chicago....not for True Blood....she wants to do one for Glee, which we both love. It's going to be interesting to see if she can pull together backing for it!
