9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

I'm so jealous! I want to book my cruise on the Dream! I was actually looking at later in the year for 2011, in Sept or Oct. Those prices weren't too bad. I think I'd want to do the 4 day too. The 3 day was fun but it felt like we got on the ship and right back off again. I love having a day at sea.

Got another booking today!

i'd love to go on a longer cruise now after being on two 3-day cruises. i think our next one will have to be a 7 night, as you just dont get enough time on the 3 nights!
but yay for another booking!!

i've had a really boring day today (theme park day), in 8 hours, i think all i managed to do was type (read: cut and paste) 12 charity letters, went to subway for lunch, sorted the mail, and..... actually i think thats about it. its quiet in the winter anyway so there's not much to do, but to be honest i'm bored out my mind there. plus i've been remembering why i left there in the first place, i didnt want to do another season there. hopefully with any luck disney may offer me a permanent job after christmas (only part time though) so if that happens i think i'll see if i can keep doing part time at both places. that way i get the best of both worlds!

We've done a 5 night and 7 night cruise but not with Disney. The 5 night was RCCL and 7 night NCL. 7 night cruises are SO much fun. We actually stopped in port canaveral and one of the excursions was to Disney! You know we did that one! That was the first time I'd been there in 15 years!!! Then I became obsessed.

Hopefully Disney will hire you on permanently. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I was busy this morning and now I am a little bored. I've been reading the books for my specialist exam and they are SO outdated. They said Universal is planning to expand with the addition of City Walk. Um, HELLO, that's been there for 10 years!

I have no choice. Those are the books that came with the exam. Just a little outdated don't ya think? I've heard it's really easy anyway. My co-worker told me one of the questions was 'What city is Mardi Gras held in?' I may have trouble with the Canada section if the questions aren't related to hockey lol.

i'm soooo tired this morning, gary's had to drive up to liverpool for a meeting, so he got up and left at 4am, cerby woke me up at 5.15am whining that he needs to go out, so had to get up and take him out (he's got a dodgy tummy at mo so not well), took me about an hour to get back to sleep, and alarm went off at 7 to get up for work.
which no doubt means i'll get a banging headache later through lasck of sleep will have to take loads of painkillers with me to work (disney today, this is getting confusing!!)

Just keep repeating 'I get to see Muse tomorrow' to get you through the day. I'm tired too. I had off yesterday but I found out my aunt (my cousin who recently passed away, her mom) is in the hospital. It's one thing after another for them.

well i've finished work for the week (kinda, 4 hour shift on saturday) and going to london tomorrow!!! really excited, shame its supposed to absolutely chuck it down with rain tomorrow
today at work was really boring, i've spent all day googling churches for our mail out for the theme park..... snore.... zzzzzz

We have a 'phantom caller' from Hertz that calls to make sure you're recommending their company. I got the phone call today and didn't recommend them. Oops! They were more expensive! I would have gotten a $50 gift card (I've had this happen before and recommended them last time lol) but oh well. Other than that work has been boring here too! Other than the fact that I just learned our GM was fired. But I didn't really like him so I'm not all that bothered about it. Does that sound horrible?

well im at home it turns out i have tendonitis in my right arm i cant extend it too far so i am at home with motrin and termacare heat wraps. Jen im sorry to her about her i hope she is doing good my great aunt is in the hospital she has been there since we got back from disney.
Im just glad it isnt raining here anymore we almost had more flooding in a couple of areas if it wouldnt have stopped we would have.
Karen you and gary have stayed at AKL before right? greg and i are thinking of staying there when we do our land and sea again in sept of 2011 what do yall think of it? the only thing greg doesnt like is being so far away from everything else and having to ride the buses to get to everywhere else (it doesnt matter to me but he is whining he wants to be on the monorail system again)

the AKL is awesome. its not as far away as everyone says it is, and if you get a savannah view room, there's nothing quite like waking up in the morning and seeing a giraffe walking past your window!!
although i will warn you, make sure you are always decent (ie: clothed!!) if you've got the curtains open. they have cameras EVERYWHERE to make sure no one is throwing food or other stuff to the animals!

we are def doing the savannah view we are actually going to splurge and do club level since all of those rooms are savannah view and we want to do the morning safari at the park greg really thinks it will be cool to wake up and see animals and i have shown him the pictures people have gotten outside their rooms and he thinks they are great. How would you go about getting to the yatch club (he wants to eat at the yatchsmen steakhouse again) that is the only thing i was worried about since the buses from the resort only go to the parks or to dtd.

get the bus to epcot then walk through and out of world showcase.
either that or short bus to AK then direct bus to yacht club.

club level is SWEEEEET! lol, did it last year!

yeah i figured we would do that i just have to make sure we have a ressie that isnt too late i cant wait and since we will have a longer time to pay on the vacation we are also gonna do the deluxe dining plan i know its alot of food but that way we can eat wherever we want and do as many of the 2ts places as we want

we are having to wait until 2011 to stay at another one greg wanted to do the poly again but i want to stay somewhere different next time i thought it would be fun and greg wants to try staying club level and animal kingdom club level we get to have a savannah view room which i love

Awesome. I do want to stay at AKL one day but I feel like it's out of the way. Eventually I'd like to stay at every place on property!

yeah that is my goal also it is gonna take awhile but i would love to stay at them all
