9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

sounds like you had a great time!!
i cant stop sneezing at the mo, i'm so ill today, i went out for about an hour earlier to the grocery store and to take cerb down the park and it totally tired me out, i'm feeling really rough right now, hoping i dont feel as bad tomorrow as i've got work at disney. i've only been there a month and the last thing i want to do is have to call in sick.

but on the up-side, garys pretty much confirmed that we are going on another cruise, i was pestering him about paying back some money that he put on my credit card and he said i'm trying to pay off a cruise at the moment!! not 100% sure which one but i think its the 2011 westbound transatlantic. its the one we were kinda toying with the idea of booking just got to wait for him to officially tell me which one we're going on! plus although its bugging me not knowing, its kinda neat that he's booking a disney trip without me, adds to the suspense!!

well i'm still feeling like hell i ended up having to leave work half hour early yesterday as was about to throw up or pass out, but just had a chill out day today with the plan of going to work tomorrow then go to doctors on tuesday. i thought i was feeling better til about 3.30 and i felt sick again. i really didnt want to call in sick from disney tomorrow but i didnt think there was any way i'd make it through a whole 9 hour shift. so i had to call in sick, and am going to go to the doctors tomorrow now instead. i've had a look online at the symptoms of swine flu, i've got 6 out of the 8 symptoms but not got a fever so that rules that out. at the very least though i think i've got a chest infection as i'm having trouble breathing properly at the mo, which isnt doing much good for my asthma either. hoping to get an answer from the doctor as to what it is, instead of the answer i probably will get which is "viral, rest, drink fluids and take acetaminophen" (sorry if the spelling is wrong there, we call it paracetamol)

but on the up side, gary has confirmed that we are going on the 2011 westbound transatlantic! our travel agent (the little bald guy we saw on the cruise with the jacksonville chamber of commerce lot) is on the ship at the mo and he's booking it while onboard for us, apparently he's managing to sort it out that we get his TA discount and OBC. not sure how that works but we're not complaining! so yay for another cruise!

i had to call in sick to disney yesterday, and went to the doctors, i've got a bad chest infection and have been given amoxicillin and a steroid inhaler. i went into work (theme park) earlier and i got sent home so been inside at home all day. still coughing like mad though which is making me feel sick as i'm coughing that much its making my throat raw. but hoping it gets better soon. going to go to work at disney tomorrow and see how i get on.
just been watching jeff dunham on the net, we've booked tickets to see him at the o2 in london next year and cant wait!
and yay for another cruise!! trying not to do my usual trick of overplanning it as its supposed to be garys trip/surprise, so going to try and not to get too involved in the planning...... famous last words!

Ugh. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully the meds will make you feel better soon.

I got to into planning this past trip. I'm just taking it easy for the one in February. I have the room, our ADRS, and we're spending a day in each park. Good enough for me!

Can someone explain renting DVC points to me? I was thinking of posting to ask someone to check the availability for my Feb trip. I'm a little apprehensive about it because I've heard of people paying but not having a reservation.

well i went to the doctor today and it turns out i have carpal tunnel syndrome and i also found out that i have bells palsy which causes me to not have control of my facial muscles (only on the right half of my face) so i cant close my right eye all the way i have to tape it shut when i sleep or it will open while i am sleeping and wake me up. It is really irritating it feels like i have had Novocaine injected into the right half of my face my mouth is irritating me.

Thanks girls. Lainey, we talked for a bit last night, I hope that the bells palsey clears up quickly. That's gotta be tough to deal with.

Thanks, Karen. I think what I have booked with my TA discount is less expensive. It seems the time of year I picked is one of the busier seasons.

that sucks! is there a big price difference? what resort were you looking at?

I paid $333 for 4 nights in a preferred at ASMo. Regular price was going for $600. The points are not bad during the week for a villa but they double during the weekend which would shoot the cost way up. I wasn't looking at any one in particular, I just looked over all of them. Oh well!

No big deal. I guess my TA discount is pretty kick *** lol. It seems less expensive to rent points if you're only staying during the week.
