Nice to see you again, Mary! 60 hours?? No wonder you haven't been on! That's crazy. I hope you're feeling better! It seems like everyone is sick. My nephew got sent home yesterday with a fever of 101 and my SIL's mom is also sick. My sister is going over to babysit today so hopefully she doesn't get sick!

So I know I live near NY and should be happy about the Yankees winning but I am just SO sick of hearing about it. I can't wait until the parade is over so everyone can shut up about it! It's all over tv, the radio, and then since Joe is a huge Yankee fan, I have to hear about it from him too. Enough already!

hope you feel better soon though, i know how you feel, i've still got the remnants of the cold i got 3 weeks ago, and now i think i might be coming down with another one. i'm bored of being ill now!

yeah the uk community board has loads of secret exchanges going on throughout the year (there's normally at least a summer, halloween, spring and christmas one), but i normally just tend to stick to the secret santa one. my recipient just said she likes anything disney, which is really handy as i can pick something up from work tomorrow and that'll be me done then.

my phone turned up this morning! i'm just trying to resist the temptation to go use it now, they say you should leave them plugged in for at least 12 hours before using them for the first time, but i really want to go unplug it....... but resisting so far!

gary's just got home from paris, he's got a report to do for work so he's having to do that now before he can relax, poor guy, he's really tired at the mo and all he wants to do is sit down and relax.
and i know what you mean about france jenny, its so close to us, but we're really not that bothered about it. everyone wondered why they built disneyland over there, "no one likes the french" (recurring joke over here)

No one does like the French!! That's why I have no desire to every visit. French-Canadians are rude, I can only imagine what the real deal is like!

and after living with some greek people at college, i have no desire at all to ever go to greece......

put it this way:
apparently in parts of greece, the sewerage system isnt big and wide enough to handle toilet paper going down the toilet. so they use it and throw it in the bin instead of flushing it. eeewwwwwww........
so you'd have thought that when they come to the UK with our more than capable sewerage system, they would flush it. well no.
plus they were just horrible.

so that is why i have absolutely NO desire to ever go to greece.

yeah, that was the longest year of my life. its horrible living with people you dont get on with......

how's work going? have you had any customers in yet?

Nope but I had a booking because our web system screws up and doesn't let reservations go through. Other than that, quiet day.

Nope, the other two people in my department are here. I'll be here by myself tomorrow.

that sucks, 6 hours on your own? do you tend to get more people in on saturday or less?

During the spring and summer it's our busiest day but since fall and winter are slow,it's usually pretty quiet. I end up spinning around in my desk chair and talking to myself.

there's nothing wrong with talking to yourself, sometimes its the only way i can get sense out of anyone!! lol

People with bluetooth always look like they're talking to themselves. I figure people will just assume I'm on my cell phone.

my friend went to see muse last week, and they're playing in london next week, now i really want to go! i can get tickets off ebay but the thought of trying to get home from the centre of london at about 11pm-12am on a friday night kinda puts me off a bit!

My sister finally sent me the pictures her friend took at the U2 concert. There's a ton of Muse cause they opened. I'll send them your way tomorrow.

Hey guys! I'm feeling a little better today. But then I went out to this girls house down the street for a Tastefully Simple tasting, and ended up really tired after just 20 minutes...so now i'm taking it easy again. I hope i'm feeling better by tomorrow night, or it will be a long 5 hour concert!!

So, my friend with the Vacation Club at work called me today -- I don't know if I told you about her, she was pregnant, but ended up having her baby almost 5 weeks early, she's the one I rent my points from -- anyways, she called me today and our wait list at the beach club came through!! So now when we go in December, we're staying one night at OKW, and the 5 at the beach club villas!! For only 120 a night, you can't beat that!! Yay!!

Karen, have you been to Germany? My band is going there in 2011, to a town called Budingen. Most people haven't heard of it. They were actually just here a few weeks ago, it's a sister city thing. I'm excited because my great-great grandparents all came over here on a boat from Germany, so that's kind of cool.

Jenny, have fun at work tomorrow...hopefully it won't be too boring!!

i havent been to germany, but gary has. he loves it over there. i did ask him about that place but he hadnt heard of it
