My DH loves the National Geographic books for ports and the Essential Guide books.
I really can't tell if this is Disney not showing us the tours available or is actually that there is just what they are showing us (like 3 or 4 in each port).
I am not certain how you are only seeing 3 or 4 for each port. Ponta delgada is showing 13 unique ones. That port is probably complete since it was a stop for both of last year's crossings and this year's as well. I did best of West with wine & cheese and it was quite nice with the combo of sightseeing followed by a large reception with unlimited wine, cheese, and breads.
St. John's has 10 for now, but I don't know if that will change once booking opens up.
I see 14 unique ones in Cadiz, and 11 unique ones for lisbon.

Okay *how are you seeing these? I am evidently searching incorrectly! I've gone through Things to Do --> Port Excursions --> Transatlantic and all I saw was St Johns and Ponta Delgada. I *know I had seen Cadiz and Lisbon in the past, but as of a few days ago half of our ports just weren't showing up for me.
How irritating. Now I need to go and shake the DCL site a bit to see what else I can make appear. Definitely irritating.![]()
Hi, Aanna: I went to the Disney site. Click on the "cruises and destinations" tab at the top and a drop down menu will come up. Click on Transatlantic. When that page opens, go down and on the right side click port adventures. When that window opens, go to the upper left and click on the port you are interested in. No need to put date or cruise -- just get the drop down menu for each port and all the excursions are listed. Hope it works for you.
Hi Aanna,At least the website is consistent for me: that path gives me the same list of ports that I got going through the other way. The ports I see that way are:
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Barcelona, Spain
- Boston, Massachusetts
- Castaway Cay
- Dover, England
- Dublin, Ireland
- Halifax (Nova Scotia), Canada
- Liverpool, England
- Madeira, Portugal
- Ponta Delgada (Azores), Portugal
- Portland, England
- Saint John (New Brunswick), Canada
- St. John's (Newfoundland), Canada
Sydney (Nova Scotia), Canada
On a brighter note, I *can find Cadiz and Lisbon on the general European cruise list. Thank you guys

Hi Aanna,
I found the port adventures on the Disney Cruise Line Blog website. On the home page, you will find a Select Port of Call on a drop down on the upper left side. The drop down had all the ports of call. When you click on the port of call, it will take you to a port summary page that has a map of the port, webcams, itineraries, links, port adventures, and weather. I am fairly new to Disney cruising so I don't know if these are current but when you click on an adventure and then select more information, it takes you the the Disney cruise line site. The only port adventure that is for sure on our list is the Jerez horse experience as my DD horseback rides. I made DH promise that he would do some kind of tour in Cadiz so he could take pictures of the city. Hope this helps!
Thank you for the welcome! it is much more quieter here than it was for our Panama Canal cruise. hopefully it'll pick up as it gets nearer PIFWelcome! It's been a bit quiet in this thread, but I think once PIF is done and everyone starts making plans it will pick up. We've only made our pre-cruise plans at this point.
Thank you for the welcome! no we won't be participating in anything other than alcohol tastings this time as we are planning on travelling light for a change. we are cat 07AWelcome aboard! Two things - let me know either your stateroom number or category; and also let me know if you want to participate in the postcard exchange.

Gotcha -- when we did the Med and TA in 2007, we participated in the FE and because there were so many participating, the stuff I brought took up a whole suitcase. I said never again. That's why I thought at least the postcard exchange is more manageable LOL
Happy planning.
We have never done FE and might in the future if we have children. we did participate in the ornament exchange last time but to be honest I don't use half of the stuff we were given. also a cost thing for us really - to keep the cost of the flights down we are planning on only having one case between us meaning I will have to do some inventive packing if we're still bringing our formal wear and pirate costumes![]()
We will be flying back to the UK after a few days in New York so no such luck for us this time. although I will still be picking up quite a few souvenirsThe nice thing is you can buy all kinds of stuff to take home since you're not flying overseas on return. That's the good part about the one way back![]()

I'm just so frustrated that so many of the ports seem to not have excursions posted at all. Disney trains us to plan everything so far in advance, and yet isn't giving us info!! The Newfoundland excursions that I can see look absurdly expensive: $260 per person for a *lobster boil?? Call me a spoiled New Englander, but lobster boils are big, family cook-out picnics, not Victoria and Albert's.
Ponta Delgada prices look reasonable-highish, but if that's the way prices go in Newfoundland, we're hoofing it on our own.![]()
And I saw the puffin boat excursion in St. John and that also was very expensive. I found an other there 2 years ago, when the EBTA should stop in St. John's, that I booked then with a lot of others. Only we never made it to St. John then. We didn't had to pay before and the company canceled the excursion for us. They also provided transport from port to the place were they depart. I think you pay so much less, that I consider to that one. I think the time we are in St. John is the longest of all ports.
I looked up to that company and it is o'briens boat tours.
