DFW area but I don't live in one of the bigger cities. For instance I was in FW today but it took me about 45min to get there... a drive I'm used to taking often. (some people might think that's a long drive- it's nothing in Texas LOL) :)

We drove through DFW area and Texas last year on the way to New Mexico what a flat stat...we got caught in a traffic jan and sat there for quite a while.. watch the 4 wheelers just drive over the grass and up the hill to get off the expressway.. sort of made their own exit..

We had baked ziti without the meat. I didn't remember until after I had already started making it last night that I should have kept the shrimp & feta for tonight. DH took out the meatballs when he got home & heated them up in the microwave. I don't think his family ever did the no meat thing during lent.

Mr. Enna somehow always finds himself eating a McD's Bacon Egg & Cheese bicuit every Friday during Lent. It started as an accident, but now I think he considers it to be his own little tradition.

Hi All....

The wenches scored again!!!!!!

Just came back from Babies r Us. I cant believe all the new stuff they have come out with since I had my kids. And they are only 6&7. Had to go baby shower shopping for Db & Dsil. Cant wait to be an Aunt!!!

I'm wondering if he'll show up or if he's lurking... for the big one!
I hope he doesn't miss it- since he said these are the ONLY ones he's even going to try for!

(and I have to leave in like 2 minutes. so y'all hurry!)

Oh snap!
I got it!
Now I'm a REAL pirate, even by captain's standards! Unless ofcourse he starts saying only the 00,000's count. LOL

WOOHOO Shelley!!! That was a big one too!!!! Congrats!

Go Wenches :woohoo: Go Wenches :woohoo:

Laura it is funny how places change.......
My sister in law used to work at Trapper's Alley and knew all the restaurant owners down there so we went to Greek town often......the last time we were there our favorite place was gone and it was a casino......:scared1:

Hellllllllo Everyone!!!

I getting home late tonight because a dear friend of mine is in the hospital and I went to visit her. Don't you just hate hospitals?

Well at a quick glance I can see we surpassed 30,000 sometime to day.

Gotta go check.........be right back.........

Welcome home, MR!

How sweet of you to visit your friend. I hope she recovers quickly.

Hi All - been skimming or trying to 'ketchup' but no mustard (I know - my bad :sad2: ) finally resorted to checking posts. Just wanted to see if anyone was reading and I see that the wenches are still ahead on the count. Wasn't there a song a while back entitled:

"AINT" NO STOPPING US NOW...."

Sigh - just couldn't help myself what with all the AI this week. :upsidedow

Oh well, I'll be checking in later this evening take care all -

Oh Yeah - send in your SM requests!!!!!!

Lisa! Why was the beach empty like that?!?

When I went to pick up the float I commented to the CM and he said that on the DDs most people didn't get off the ship right away since they were tired from the previous day & the weather wasn't too great. Well, it was sunny & warm. We just sat there looking around unable to believe it. The kids LOVED it!!! We had an 11 am stingray excursion & the beach was filling up by then. It started raining around 2/2:30 so we really got to get a full 5+ hours in at CC. :)

Oh, the other amazing thing? There were only a couple people waiting for the doors to open that morning to get off the ship. No lines. No waiting. Just stroll on off! :cool1:

Hi MR,

Hope your friend is going to be okay. Sending prayers.

:bday: Noone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry but since I went to page 1 to check for Birthdays, I felt compelled to post something

Mine is really good about that. It is the progress reports that he forgets. Even though the grades are good.

I love the agenda. My kids are really good about coming in and doing their homework as soon as they get home. I don't think in all the years they have been in school that I have taken them back to school because they had forgotten something more than 3 x each. I have a 10th grader and 8th.
I don't let her forget progress reports or report cards. They have to be signed anyway... so if I forgot or something, eventually she'd be in big trouble for not returning it signed!
The agenda they don't really do at this age, it's something we had to agree on with the teachers to get it going. We have to have the teachers SIGN IT, because she would even forget to write down homework or forget what it was before writing it down/etc. So she has to write it in her own little personal agenda (that I bought for this purpose) and they have to sign it- (initials anyway) so that I know she didn't just "forget" to write some homework down.

She's always been the type to come home and start on homework too. But without the elementary school "agenda" type papers saying what their homework was, I could never know if she had remembered "all" of it. Yanno? So that's when we started having problems. And I couldn't even get her to remember to make notes for herself to remember things (homework and other things) until we made an agenda that had to be SIGNED. She loses privileges, gets grounded, etc. if she doesn't fill it out for each class and have it signed (except band and athletics ofcourse)

I have never been to Greek town. I don't go down town to much. I am nervous because DD has her MRI at Henry Ford down on Grand River blvd. But my sister works there so she said she would meet me there. I just don't go that way much. Mostly I travel north if I have to drive very far.
I really want to go visit the casinos but I don't really gamble but just to say I have been there.

Wow.
On our DD both days were packed on the beach immediately! We were on the beach very early on the 2nd day and it was already getting pretty packed. our DD must have been different. Lucky you!
