When I went to pick up the float I commented to the CM and he said that on the DDs most people didn't get off the ship right away since they were tired from the previous day & the weather wasn't too great. Well, it was sunny & warm. We just sat there looking around unable to believe it. The kids LOVED it!!! We had an 11 am stingray excursion & the beach was filling up by then. It started raining around 2/2:30 so we really got to get a full 5+ hours in at CC. :)

Oh, the other amazing thing? There were only a couple people waiting for the doors to open that morning to get off the ship. No lines. No waiting. Just stroll on off! :cool1:

That's just amazing.

We found that CC seems to empty out right after lunch, and is quiet later in the afternoon. However, it isn't anywhere near as pristine looking as your pictures. Those are just amazing.

Welcome home, MR!

How sweet of you to visit your friend. I hope she recovers quickly.

Enna you're so sweet! Actually, my friend has diverticulitis. She was having a severe attack a week ago Sunday........well fast forward to last Tues. she got some bad meds and went into a coma :scared1: Thank Goodness she came out of the coma but now has pneumonia. She has two young kids. I'd appreciate any prayers you guys might say for her and for her family. Thank you!

Hellllllllo Everyone!!!

I getting home late tonight because a dear friend of mine is in the hospital and I went to visit her. Don't you just hate hospitals?

Well at a quick glance I can see we surpassed 30,000 sometime to day.

Gotta go check.........be right back.........

Hi MR! Welcome home!!

I have never been to Greek town. I don't go down town to much. I am nervous because DD has her MRI at Henry Ford down on Grand River blvd. But my sister works there so she said she would meet me there. I just don't go that way much. Mostly I travel north if I have to drive very far.
I really want to go visit the casinos but I don't really gamble but just to say I have been there.

Your sister works at HFH? Has she been there long? What department.?

You will be fine.....Generally they are very good there.....

I don't let her forget progress reports or report cards. They have to be signed anyway... so if I forgot or something, eventually she'd be in big trouble for not returning it signed!
The agenda they don't really do at this age, it's something we had to agree on with the teachers to get it going. We have to have the teachers SIGN IT, because she would even forget to write down homework or forget what it was before writing it down/etc. So she has to write it in her own little personal agenda (that I bought for this purpose) and they have to sign it- (initials anyway) so that I know she didn't just "forget" to write some homework down.

She's always been the type to come home and start on homework too. But without the elementary school "agenda" type papers saying what their homework was, I could never know if she had remembered "all" of it. Yanno? So that's when we started having problems. And I couldn't even get her to remember to make notes for herself to remember things (homework and other things) until we made an agenda that had to be SIGNED. She loses privileges, gets grounded, etc. if she doesn't fill it out for each class and have it signed (except band and athletics ofcourse)

My friends daughter has to do that to. She has really big problems with homework. She will tell her mom that she doesn't have any or that is something easier than what the actually homework is. She has to have her own special agenda that all the teachers have to sign.

That's just amazing.

I think Mark has some pictures like that. I will ask him. He has been the first on the beach a few times. And he always carries a camera.

How very frightening for her and her family.

Of course I'll keep her in my prayers. Maybe with the DIS prayers we can help her get home to her family more quickly. :flower3:

I am watchin AI but have laptop will travel as you all say.
I am in Shelby Township which is about 45 minutes north of Detroit.

Are you on the road to Baraga? My other GPs lived there & my incestuous uncle lived in the family house in Redford (it use to be called Detroit when I was younger but they renamed it for whatever reason.) I remember being stuck in the car with 7 people for the 12 hour drive there. :scared:

My sis as worked in HFH's for years but she isn't in medical. She is in telecommunications. She owns a company that has been contracted by HFH to do their phone and computer systems.
Just so happens that she is working at the Detroit location in the Ultrasound and MRI departments right now which is the two locations were are visiting. DD is have a MRI arithrogram (sp?) with contrast and and ultrasound done by a specific doctor for her hip problems.

That's horrible - prayers being sent.

Okay so let me get this straight......one good singer all night? In fairness I missed the beginning of the show.....

On CC day we are off as soon as they let us and enjoy the first hour before the crowds and we stay until they kick us out of the water.......The end of the day is VERY enjoyable........
