I didn't go digital until 5 months ago. Until the D80 came out, there wasn't anything (choke, cough) affordable that produced the quality photos I want.
Before that I mostly shot with my Nikon N60. I LOVE my D80 (10.2 MEGA PIXELS, people!). It's nice that I can still use the gabillion dollars worth of lenses I collected for my N60. I love that you can go almost fully manual with the N60 & the D80 - that's still how I shoot most often. I'm a control freak. I also have a late-'60's model Nikon my Dad got in Vietnam. The thing is a TANK! I usually have a roll of B&W in it.

Hi Everyone - once again, I'm WAAAAY behind.... I'm going to have to leave the office in a few minutes to take DS to fiddle, so I was just taking a few minutes to skim through a few pages. (Thank goodness for speed reading!)

This post reminded me of our oldest camera - My DF bought a Canon SLR in Japan in the late 60's. It weighs a ton!! THe lenses are also heavy - I think they are actually glass and steel. I got a Canon AE-1 in high school and when I met DH, he had a canon AE-1 "programmable". It was nice being able to share lenses! THe old, heavy lenses worked with those cameras, but over time we replaced them because they were just too heavy to carry around.

I almost never use the film cameras anymore and just have a 'regular' digital camera. I keep hinting that a digital SLR would be nice, but Christmas and my birthday passed without one showing up!

I am not an attorney, nor do I play one on TV, but I could have told them that.......

sorry, no clue!
I hope they do for you but we can't even think of getting a Mickey Fix before the cruise. We're budgeting FOR the cruise.
You could adopt me and take me with you though. I swear I woudn't eat much. Wait- free dining plan would help then huh? LOL

I found the free dining is for England so far but not here yet.:thumbsup2 Can you just wave the magic wand and arrange it all for me.:woohoo: Anything free from Disney is a miracle.:lmao: :lmao:

My dh was the same way when we went on our last cruise. Finally, I made a profile for him.....made a sig and all.....and FORCED him to post a message. After that, he really enjoyed it. I think I'll be able to get him on here at some point. I've been "briefing" him about all of you.

the much toned down version correct??????

instead of the grenadine use a shot of razzamatazz or grand mariner its tastes yummy and gives it that extra kick

Okay I will try that next time. I order this, this weekend and they had never heard of it but I had it all the time on Pleasure Island.

I don't really like lanyards either.
I started the pin trading thing and the whole lanyard w/pins on it deterred me from really getting in the pin trading- cause I couldn't stand wearing it!
About the only time I can stand wearing a lanyard is when it has a waterproof box thing on it and when I NEED that because I'm going in the water (ie: water parks, beach, etc.)

Any other time it just annoys me. Annoys my neck, annoys my chest. LOL

I just got them for the kids to use for their pins. I figure that if they are on the ship for 2 weeks, they will need a few more to trade. They usually fill up a lanyard so this will be an extra one for them.

Oh wow - I was (Am still) so far behind that I didn't even notice the run was on for 30000! Good luck folks - I've got to run so I'll see later who got it....

My DH says he doesn't 'get' the DIS thing. He never paid attention to the other cruise meet threads I've been on, but I've caught him reading over my shoulder quite a few times on this one.

Maybe he's lurking right now - :sail: Hi Honey!

Better not let him lurk......he'll have a clue what he is in for at dinner.....:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
