Speaking of....I think a long time ago everyone was talking about what they do for a living.
We own (25+ years) an ornamental iron (wrought iron) business. We make everything that could possibly be made out of steel and copper. Everything from the construction phase, such as I-Beams in buildings, to blacksmithing.....wrought iron gates, fences, window guards, pot racks, fireplace screens, chandeliers......
No, you will never see me in a pink welding helmet. I leave the dirty work to the guys. I keep the books and all.

We also own commercial rental properties that I manage.

That's cool!

My DH only goes on the computer to buy more golfclubs! My kids are either on Penguins or Webkins.

Well I will ask him, but I don't think he plays that. (I, however, have won multiple cash cow trophies for each of my 3 kids accounts, thank you very much LOL) I think he usually plays that one where you shoot out the colored balls or bubbles or whatever they are and when 3 are touching they disappear? I will have to look to remind myself the name of that. He can play and play and play without losing like forever! (well almost)

To be fair, he only ends up playing that when he gets the urge to get on the computer and the kids have left webkinz on. It's not like he goes and logs in on webkinz on purpose. LOL He gets on there with the intention of looking at scuba stuff, I'm sure... but it's on webkinz already, and it sucks him in!

Hmmm, never been on webkinz. Will have to try it.

Oh I'm sure my husband would say that (especially with my family together- you think I talk a lot? ) but the truth of the matter is even if we all sit around and don't talk- he doesn't either. I guess he has nothing to say. I don't know. LOL Even when it comes to his buddies or talking about things he likes (Harley, scuba diving)- he still is pretty quiet. His coworkers say he's quiet at work too. *shrugs*
He just likes to blame me, is all. I swear!

I'm usually home from 11:30-12:30 eastern time for lunch. Of course, you can't go by this time on the DIS clock since it is always running behind the real time.

That's OK, I had a Tastykake www.tastykake.com truck following me around this afternoon, made it tempting to stop at the store and pick up a pack of Tastykakes.

Is there a trick to doing better at Cash Cow? I tend to max out around 5000.

Yes, I figured out the trick by accident one day and then I noticed that if you aren't doing it on tournament and are on the regular games page- before you play cash cow you can look up the "information" on how to play and it gives you a hint on how to get the trophy too!

Basically the trick is to try to keep as much of ONE color on there- keep getting rid of the other colors... then when you have the entire thing almost full to the top of mostly (or all) one color and get rid of them all at once, sometimes you'll get a trophy.

It happened to me by accident one day. I think I got distracted and it almost was to the top and I just "by chance" started clicking all one color leaving almost all of it one color- then when I clicked to get rid of all those because it was almost to the top- it gave me a trophy. I've gotten multiple trophies on other things too. LOL I used to play webkinz a lot-on the laptop because it would play it faster. This computer it lags on for some reason.

The worst is having to evict someone. Especially when it's their business. (but heck, if you don't pay the rent on your business, then you deserve to be evicted, right?) Anyway, twice I had to go nose to toes with two different renters to kick them out. And both were big, scary guys.
Never could talk the DH into doing that nasty job for me...

Atleast I think that's how. I haven't played in awhile so I might not be explaining it just right....

That makes sense. That was the technique I used to improve my score a little, so I'll have to start to really pay attention to leaving one color instead of working on large groups of 2 colors like I've been doing. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
