Been using this in my signature line nice pic of Magic coming out of LA.

Andrew, your photo looked familiar so I went back and found one that I took the day of the inaugural cruise.

Hi... I just got caught up in reading the posts and I probably shouldn't post right now, because to be honest, I'm a little upset and bewildered. Yes I did read on the other board that they were having a picnic. Yes I did sign up on the other board and only have one post, as they have a rule about lurkers. I really feel like you are a bunch of fun people, and I was trying to do my bit to fit in by offering to look into this for a gathering. I'm sorry if you thought I was trying to push everyone onto meeting the other board. That wasn't my intent. It seems alot of you know each other from previous cruises, and this was my attempt to belonging. After reading all the responses to my offer to investigate, I don't really feel like one of the wenches on this cruise.

I feel bad and a little guilty typing this right now, but I do want to be apart of this group, and enjoy a fantastic cruise with all of you. Please let me know if you want me to look into this further as an event for the DIS Board pirates on the Saturday or Friday before the cruise on an evening other than the other board.

Did they do that on the 2005 Eastern TPC cruise? Certainly would be neat to see.

Yes when we pulled out of LA there where three/ four tug boats straying up fountains of water in front of us and to the side to give us a great send off as at that time it was going to be the last time they saw the Magic.

Really neat, I think LA really want to be a base for Disney ships and with two more on the way they will get one.

Did anyone see that poor 13 y/o Florida boy was abducted at gunpoint at his school bus stop at 9am this morning? He apparently was found walking a few hours later. Don't know all the details yet. Glad he's alive, but it's so sad these things happen.

Supershuttles can be reserved in advance and if you have a few folks traveling together, it's prolly best you arrange it in advance. That's because they operate as a shared taxi service. Coming from the airport, they'll pick up, say 5 people going to the same region/town. If you make a ressie they *might* give you a small discount since you're all going to the same place but usually they charge each person the same set fee.

Just the 2 of us. I was checking their pricing. Was able to find The Crowne Plaza- San Pedro but not The Double Tree-San Pedro.

Yes there are. We have a 1600 sq.ft. 3 Bed.1 1/2 bath, 2 living areas,2 car attached,all brick,on a corner acre lot. Paid $57,000. 12 yrs. ago.

That was 12 years ago... what would it go for now?

My area was very reasonably prices just 6 short years ago. Luckily we were in the market for buying a house when we did. Small, cottage summer vacation homes (think 2 small bedrooms, LR, K, 1BA) that were going for $40 - $60 K then are now close to or over $200,000. If I had only known then maybe I would have bought a few of them instead of my house and run off with the profit! Right now the market has stiffled at least, but the prices haven't come down.

Thanks Andy and everyone else. DH surgery went well. He says that he is feeling pretty good--but I think it is the oxycodone. But he is up walking a little and keeping it iced.

Hello everyone .. First I want to thank you all for your kind words. I probably overreacted a bit, but I have problems speaking up for myself (I think it comes from being the baby girl in a family of four brothers and one older sister) and felt that I needed to at this point while the mood was with me. At the time, I felt like I was back in highschool and I really wanted to join the Cool group and couldn't quite get my foot in the door. This was my attempt to get that foot in and belong! ( BTW. You good folks are the cool group. You seem like a fun group of people that I could really get along with and would be honoured to get to know.)

After all your kind words, I am starting to feel like I fit in. I will follow up with the Picnic thing and I would love to work with the committee for a DIS meet.

Well, I just finished printing off 16 iron-on transfers, I have 8 t-shirts and 6 pillowcases to make this morning for a fellow DIS'er. Will check back later!!!

I have the house to myself this morning as Angelina had the school musical practice, and Hazel has a talent show that she has to set up for at the church, so it's time to get my project done while I don't have anyone getting in my way.........

What are most people doing before the cruise? Disneyland? I'm debating. In 05 we stayed at Huntington Beach and really enjoyed it. Anyone else doing something different?

Hi Mary;

We have done Huntington Beach, too, and loved it. However, at this early stage we are thinking of coming out and having a few days in San Diego (we've never been) and then a few at DL before the 2008 repo cruise.

Okay ride review, the new Nemo ride 10, the new Monster's Inc laugh floor 5 (though the kids liked it more then me) That Mummy ride at Universal 10!

MJ, I am the baby in our family too. 4 brothers and 1 sister, all older. One brother passed away when he was little. I am the baby by 9 years. My oldest brother is 20 years older than me and my youngest is 9 years older.

BTW, my DD's friend is Melissa Jean and she goes by EMMJAY.
