Hey Julie :wave2:

Busy day today.
Lots of errands and "drama".
DS13 tested for the brown belt in Tae Kwon Do.
He of course forgot his testing paper at home. (He needs confirmation from parents and teachers that he is being respectful:thumbsup2 )
DD9 forgot her friend's b-day party today (3 snow days at home has dulled their minds) and luckily I had a Barnes and Noble gift card and a box of spare greeting cards so she was only a little late for the party.
DH yells at them for forgetting things, but he is almost as bad
Too bad you can't install more memory like you can on a computer;)

I second that.........I second ALL of that!

PS I love your name Mrs.Scooby. Gotta a Scooby Snack?

Thank you Andy!!

I have this pic in a frame on my end table and it gives my a warm and fuzzy feeling when I look at it.

Funny, after looking at other group pics. We seem to be looking towards Heaven! Why the heck is that! And my DH John who is a blend in the background kinda guy wore that orange T-Shirt that you can't miss :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks Again Andy!

Thank you Tag Fairy for visiting us..........and when your wings are rested.....please visit the rest of our Superty Cool friends!

I second that. I thank you for the visit and I am very glad that you are getting some well deserved rest. And yes we do have really cool friends here.

Overheard in the Enna Household:

DH: "That's a LOT of people in that picture."

Enna: "It's only about 1/4 of the people that will be in the Repo picture."

DH: "REALLY?!?!?! You've GOT to be kidding me."

(as IF I'm the joking type?)

That's because we were on deck 3 and the DCL photographer was on deck 4 we had to look up at him so he could take the photo.

I am not sure if having only one is a blessing or a curse in that regard - on the one hand she has no sibling to constantly argue with - on the other hand she only has me to argue with.....(dad doesn't seem to count - maybe a girl thing!)

Hey Darlene, is that a new tag?? I don't remember it before. And with all the tagging going on every here, I'm starting to read everyone's now.

Your still alive - which means you have to post your jail story and I'll have to read it when I get back!

Yes, we ALL Survived the family meeting........FGM was NOT a Happy Camper !!!

As for the Mickey Jail Story........... Its Long, so my apologies.....remember You guys asked !!!

On My Second Trip to Walt Disney World in 1972............................

I had pestered my parents into letting me take my best friend with us. My first trip was great.........But I had to hang around with my older brother (That's a different story !!!!). Now my best friend and I are allot alike...... and at that time ALL Boy.........meaning, what mischief can I get into, and still not get caught, and look like were Angels !!!!

My Family is from Tennessee, so every trip we took to Florida and Disney World, we would stop at My Grandparents. My family's from a small town area that, in a word, is country. And Country folks are different than city folks. Country boys like to shoot at things and blow things up !!!!! Mom and dad were smart enough not to let us take BB guns on vacation..... Sooooooooo

Fireworks, and larger explosive devices were readily available to boys in rural Tennessee. So guess what went with my friend and I to Florida ???

My Uncle owned at that time a resort hotel in Southern Florida, right on the Inter Coastal Waterway. We would stay at the hotel for a week, then head back up to Disney, which at that time was the Magic Kingdom.

There was lots of construction in the area at that time............ Long Story Short............ M80's in drain pipes........... M80's thru the pier slats into the Surf.........Firecrackers in toilets..... And not getting caught !!!

Head up to Disney......... U can see the trouble coming.........wish I could have.

Now my Best Friend is Fearless..........I'm only Brave. We are both enough of the former to be considered stupid. At least that's my Dad's perspective.

Now remember that in 72, Disney (MK) still had horse drawn wagons, and other animals, that might not like loud noises.............

Security back then was a couple of retired, overweight, old guys........not like today.

We had a bunch of Firecrackers.........Thankfully we had used up all of the M80's and other types of larger explosive devices !!!!

So my brilliant Friend decided it would be fun to see how many rides we could go on and light off Firecrackers..........Seemed like a good idea at the time!!!

We lit off FireCrackers on every ride and show in the MK, including the Train. It was smaller back then, even Space Mountain wasn't open yet. You had to use ticket books, and we were on our last ticket, to ride the Haunted Mansion !!!!

Now wouldn't you know, that every time we lit a firecracker in the Haunted Mansion it was either a dud, or got run over by a Doom Buggy just as it went off. Must have tried 20 times.......... I tried enough times that I ran out of FC's. We get off the ride, and its 5 minutes till the park closes. My Brilliant friend See's a Horse standing outside of the Haunted Mansion gates.......... and decides to flip a lit firecracker by it........... Bad News...........and it wasn't a Dud !!!! Bang goes the cracker, up goes the horse, friend gets tackled by Cast Members......... I initially escape by using ' Ive never seen him before in my life........as my Best Friend is screaming out my name.

So I get almost back to where we are to meet my parents at the Train station on Main Street....... and 2 CM's stop me. Even back then they had radio's. My Dad sees this, comes running up, just as two security guards are dragging my friend up Main Street.

We go to Mickey Jail......... Mom and Dad have to bail us out. Luckily no one was hurt........ Could have gone seriously much worse. Thank Goodness all the horse did was jump around, and not bolt. So the bail was to scare the living daylights out of us...... It worked. Had to stay at Security Headquarters for 2 hours after the Park Closed......in their holding cell. Listening to my Dad talking with the Disney park management. At the end, It sounded more like the Disney Team was trying to protect us from my Dad !!!!

We had to sign that we were under probation, never to be caught doing anything wrong at Disney again, and were released into my Parents custody. I would have rather stayed in Mickey Jail. My Bahoooooky hurts just thinking
about this.........

We will have to make a pyramid for our Repo pic I think. Or else, we will all be on deck 3 and the photographer will have shoot from deck thirteen :lmao:

Be careful out there!

Thanks ... I survived the roads... Did find something of interest. When the Croc talk :) came up I remember loving mine except for the blisters they gave me on the top of my feet. While at the drugstore I spotted Band-AID's New Anti-Blister Stick. It is supposed reduce blistering from new shoes. You rub it on like deoderant! I bought some and will let you know how it works.

Everyone has a TAG now from the TAG Fairy ...I dont feel so special anymore ....
pirate:

Congrats on all the new tags! :cheer2: I'm waiting patiently for my DIS Veteran promotion first ... Getting closer!! ... then I'll keep my fingers crossed that the TF finds me!

OMG Mark, that story is hysterical! Are you still on the Disney watch list? Do you look over your should at MK? :lmao: Now, being a parent. Can you just imagine how absolutely furious you parent were. And one of you weren't even their own child. OMG! that all I can say........:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

do the Jibbitz fit in the Disney Crocs with the Mickey head cutouts - or are they too big????? Thanks in advance!!!

So far I have avoided buying the Jibbitz (just because the only place around here that seems to have them is Halmark and they are always too cutsie for me!) so I really don't know... DS7 has Mickey crocs, but I don't yet.

Of course, now that there are Disney Jibbitz I am going to have to get me some! They seem very expensive to me for what they are ($2.50 each) and the idea of adding shipping costs onto that always has stopped me before .... but for a Mickey Jibbitz I'll probably bite the bullet and do it.

Can you tell I tend to be "frugal"???? In our family, we say it is the Danish blood showing. My Danish grandmother is VERY frugal and can pinch a penny until it screams for mercy! She is 98 years old and still lives on her own. Her cousin (also Danish) is 102 and lives in her own apartment in a retirement community in Florida. There is one other cousin who is a yougster at 93 and drove from Iowa to Illinois last summer for Grandma's 98th birthday party - she also plays a couple rounds of golf every week! I sure home I can be like them in another 50+ years :thumbsup2

Not caught up but just wanted to say Congrats to Caroline for being a pirate: again! :thumbsup2 And congrats on the news tags everyone seems to be getting. Couldn't happen to nicer folks I'm sure! :thumbsup2

Also Mark I love the story! Mickey Jail? Who'd a thunk it? ;) Guess you learned your lesson big time! :rotfl2:
