Oh! I'm just south of Baltimore (Hanover). Are there any Maryland area meets in the works?

OHHH! If you wait until later this summer I might be there. So far we are leaning more towards the VA side of DC, but that is still pretty close. I had forgotten how close together everything is back East!

Silly request for those in the DC area - if someone is willing to pick up a couple of kids Washington Capitals t-shirts or sweatshirts for my kids, I'd be happy to send you a check for the cost + shipping. We are very excited to have a "home" NHL team. We love our ECHL (3rd tier professional) team up here. I know I could order from the web, but I'm assuming that an inexpensive version is available in local discount stores (saving $ for the mouse). Anyway, if you are willing to help out, please send me a PM.

We're doing all we can to get exctied about this move.

Just waiting for dinner to get ready here. Well...it's not really here getting ready but I am waiting for a bit to go pick it up. ;)

Ditto and how's that last part working out for you? Because it isn't working here... worth a darn. :confused3

Nope, not working at all! DH and I are considering 'forgetting' things like she does...like feeding her or taking her on The Trip of a Lifetime:rotfl2:

What are you having for dinner?

I'm thinking I might have DH pick something up on his way home.

I totally understand. Both our boys have to get larger than expected hats. And clothing is hard - it's a good thing their ears are attached so well, or they'd get taken off for sure just getting the shirt over their head. ("Ow. Mommy, my ears!") We've found that easing one ear out at a time seems to help. But V-necks with zips, buttons, or no closures are our favs. And forget the cheap shirts - it's like they save 3 cents on the manufacturing costs by making the neck smaller. :sad2:

I think that what they've taken out from the neck they've added to the sleeves. Is it just me or are sleeves getting waaaaaaaaay too long? :confused3

I was going to save it for a run at the upcoming Pirate - but this place needs a little livening up. (Or perhaps, real life is kicking in after all the excitement of the last few weeks?)

In any case... 7 down, 550 to go...

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
What goes thump-thump Arrr! thump-thump-Arrr!?

HA! I'm a savin the answer for a run at the Pirate!!
(provided we can get there before I have to leave in an hour)

:goodvibes My DDs head (which has affectionately been dubbed a 'bubble' head) was also very near to the 100% range. Our pediatrician wasn't too concerned about it at all. Now at 7, almost 8, it still stays in the 100% range. We never once discussed doing a Cscan for any reason. I think in part it has to do with her head is almost perfectly round. And we've given up on turtle necks and certain styles of sweaters...just too much hassle to get on or off. And now that her ears are piereced, too hazardous. She absolutely loves school and has been an A student, except for conduct. She gets very blabby at times, which DH points out is a trait of mine. ;) I do like to point out to her though, that as much as she brags about having such a big brain, that I expect her to use it more to remember things like feeding the dog, cleaning her room, etc. :rotfl2:

It sounds like our DDs have a lot in common. :goodvibes

Just checking in.........

We were suffering bad withdrawal symptoms after disembarking from the Wonder's 11-night southern cruise last year, so this time we're dragging the 'other' set of Grandparents along for the EB Panama Repo :cool1:

We have two Cat-4 GTY's: Susan, Andy (me) and Sarah (7 at time of cruise) in one, Greemaw and Grass (Grandparents) in the other.

We're headed to Disneyland a week Friday, to get a quick Disney fix.

Andy

 Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

What do you know, yet another Andy!!!

More DL planning info

Here's a post from a WDW vet who did a LOT of DL planning before his trip, then decided to share his knowledge. As a visitor of both coasts, I believe he's got it pretty accurate.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599

I will add that my list of attractions that are at both parks, but I prefer the DL version are:

Pirates of the Caribbean - longer at DL and just better IMO
Autopia (vs WDW Tomorrowland Speedway)
Its a Small World - ok, so you can only take so much, and maybe you could get by with just checking out our facade.
Toontown - it's huge here
Indiana Jones (vs Dinosaur) - just can't beat almost getting smashed by a giant ball of stone
Space Mountain - we've got a soundtrack, nothing like racing through the dark with rock music
Enchanted Tiki Room - we've still got the original
Buzz Lightyear - you can pick up the blasters here

What I like better at WDW
Splash Mountain
Tower of Terror - but they are different so you should check it out here anyway
Astro Orbiter - WDW is still on a raised platform

Sometimes I think they take the fabric from the torso part and use that for the sleeves. Call me crazy, but I don't think my kindergartener needs to have a clingy form-fitting tee. So, then I size up, which makes the shirt have orangutan arms.

Not our cheap shirts - wash them a few times and they shrink nearly a size! Hum. Maybe I sould just them them several sizes too big! (Then the sleeves really would be too long!) :)

Just a clarification on BWPPI's hot breakfast....it's pancakes....that's it pancakes, nothing else...their other option is the continental breakfast, pastries, toast, coffee, juice, fruit. Also, those pancakes are from Captn Kidd's which is adjacent to the hotel. It's the worst place I have ever been too. Warning to all DL visitors, do not go to Captn Kidds. You'll be enticed by the buffet and cheap prices, but there's a reason its so cheap, it's horrible.

It wasn't cheap, it was FREE! As I said, it was 2 years ago so things may have changed, but we thought it was pretty decent for being free.

Glad to hear that Magic Mountain is still open......I hope they are not planning to get rid of "X" as I am dying to try that coaster.

Hi Jeff, yea I was about ready to pull out the shorts and t-shirts, well maybe not quite yet........:rotfl:

Andy,

You don't have to pull out the shorts and t-shirts. Instead, you can just put on your "naked rugby" uniform. :lmao: :scared1:

And don't even get me started on little girls bathing suits! :confused3

Sorry, didn't mean the breakfast was cheap, yes it's free when staying at the hotel. But anyone passing by who would want to eat there because it's cheap, should stay away.

Oh man, the first time I rode X I swore I'd never do it again. Well, that didn't last. I've been on it 3 more times. Still a thrill each time.
