I already consider that one of the expensive hotels. :confused3

No kidding. At $200+ per night, it is way more than the Mods in WDW.

We stayed there once to fulfill DW's childhood dream of staying there. Then we went to the HoJo.

Last summer however, we were suppose to go to San Diego for work and we were going to take a side trip to DL (death in the family interrupted that). We had a room booked at Paradise Pier for around $135/nt. Hopefully we will see some specials pop up late next spring (2008).

I totally hear you on that...even without you saying a word!

I heard a word that fits what these little girls are wearing -- they are dressing as 'prosti-tots'.

Really, I'm just counting the days 'til DD gets to wear uniforms for school.

We're the opposite. She wears dresses to the Christian school she goes to now, but next year, it's off to public school and who knows what to come.

Sometimes boys really are easier. Course, we do get a lot fewer choices.

Not when it comes to dressier clothes. You can't find anything for <10 year olds. They seem to think all they do is run and play 24/7 (o.k., well maybe he does).

The boys departments in most stores are only about 1/4 of the men's department, and those usually aren't big.

What WDW hotel is most similar to the DLH? Would it be more similar to one of the Deluxe hotels? I've heard GC compared to Wilderness Lodge, but can't come up with a comparison for DHL and Paradise Pier.

Our school doesn't allow writing or pictures on their clothing. With all the marketing our kids are doing for companies these days - that's really hard to shop for. Of course, that's the reason they disallow it. The school wants to limit our children's exposure to merchandising. I'm OK with that.

Ours already does. Certainly makes getting ready in the morning a whole lot faster! :)

Just checking in.........

We were suffering bad withdrawal symptoms after disembarking from the Wonder's 11-night southern cruise last year, so this time we're dragging the 'other' set of Grandparents along for the EB Panama Repo :cool1:

We have two Cat-4 GTY's: Susan, Andy (me) and Sarah (7 at time of cruise) in one, Greemaw and Grass (Grandparents) in the other.

We're headed to Disneyland a week Friday, to get a quick Disney fix.

Andy

Our DS goes to a Lutheran school and they have no dress policy (except for nothing offensive). DW went to Lutheran school when she grew up and they had uniforms.

I'm surprised they are getting away from that. I for one wish they had it.

Andy,

You don't have to pull out the shorts and t-shirts. Instead, you can just put on your "naked rugby" uniform. :lmao: :scared1:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm sure the residents would love that!!! NOT!!!

Oh, I agree. When my sons used to go to Christian school, it was so difficult to find dress pants for them. Everything is jeans and cargo pants. Sears was about the only place we could find anything.

Our school starts uniforms in 1st grade. I really wish they just started in Kindergarten, though. Sometimes it's just so hard to find something that is stylish enough without it being inappropriate.

Six Flags is trying to sell Magic Mountain, but as of now, there are no buyers. There are no plans to shut down though. They even just announced the removal of 2 older coasters to open up space for a new one.

Which ones are they going to remove ...

That is surprising. DD goes to a Catholic school and it's uniforms only.

I hear you. DS9 is in Junior Showmanship with our dogs. That requires him to wear a tie and such when he shows. Choices are definitely limited. Fortunately - he's happy with one outfit at a time.

And WL can be booked for around $189 or less with a good code.

Not sure on what level you'd put DL. Maybe Contemporary?
