Side note - how sad is it that we both have professional-type exec. level jobs & we can't afford to buy a freeking house within an hour of DC? hhhmmmmmmmppp.

It is real sad. We have lived 11 out of the last 21 years in the DC/Baltimore area.

The house we lived in while in Oklahoma City (until last June) cost one third what the house we live in here in Baltimore cost but it was four times better! How sad!! :sad2:

DS came in crying a little while ago. He has a big bruise/burn on his head that is turning into a goose egg along with some scrapes on his hands. They were playing soccer & two of them ran into each other. He ended up falling head first onto the pavement. :( I guess that it is roadburn then. :( He is sleepy and his pupils aren't dialating unless I shine a flashlight right at them. He didn't say much for almost 20 minutes but now he wants to play his GBA. I guess if he can see that well enough to play, he is ok. OY! If it's not one thing it is another. I had to pull up WebMD to see if I should take him to the clinic or not. I already warned him that I am going to be waking him up a lot tonight.

Lisa - hope he's okay :grouphug:!

I have just added this information to the front page but wanted to post it as well. Pam and Laura have volunteered to organize a Secret Mickey for the cruise. There is lots of time to sign up but I wanted to let you guys know about this. :)

What's a Secret Mickey :confused3 ?

I posted my pet earlier so her is my PC job description ......

I am the Chief Financial Officer for a division of the largest nonprofit organization in the world. My DH serves as the Director of Older Adult and Visitation Ministry. She is also the representative of the organization to the VA Hospitals in the two state area.

I run a local affiliate of another one of the big nonprofits.
Hint: Brack - I bet we're a funder of yours.

Hi everyone. Just found this site while doing a search for this cruise. This will be my 3rd DCL cruise. Did a 4 day Land/Sea back in 2000 and a 7 day Eastern last year. I'm really looking forward to going through the Panama Canal. I hope I don't have to read all 20,000 plus posts. That would take me until cruise time. :)

Maggie

:welcome:

OF COURSE you have to read all the posts! :rotfl:

But if you go to the very first post, there's a summary of the important information as well as links to summaries...Cliff's Notes as it were--pertinent info without the fluff ;)

Our occupations:
I am an office manager/part owner of a well drilling business
DH is the president/well driller of same business.
DH is also a volunteer firefighter/firepolice and an assistant scoutmaster with my DS's boyscout troop.
