Hi guys. I've been reading your thread (or should I say trying to keep up) for a while now.

I have a dilema and am looking for suggestions.

Let me start by asking not to get flamed for this since I was unaware that this went through.

We sailed on the 1-13-07 Western and filled out the form for the EB Repo. When I didn't hear anything from IC, I figured I better call on 1-31 to get a ressie for this cruise.

I was one of the lucky ones. I got through shortly after 8:00 and got a hold time of 3 minutes . Well after 25 minutes I got a CM, she couldn't pull up the info right away, but within 10 minutes she had me in a Cat 9 for $5,199 with OB Disc for 2A and 1C (8).

After reading this thread, I see that some other people from our cruise got their onboard requests filled, so I called this morning. They actually do have a room for me.

A Cat 7 for $7,089.

I'm trying to decide if it is worth the extra $1,900 for the balcony. We originally said we wouldn't pay more than $6,000 for this cruise (I was thinking more in the line of $6,500, but don't want to upset DW).

$1,900 on the other hand will go a long way for room charges.

Just wondering if the Cat 7 price is a good one and which room you'd take.

Thanks in advance and please, no flames. As I said, I lost faith in IC.

Um, if you pass on the cat 7 can you give me your ressie? I like your pricing better than the $8659 price we got for 3A.

Well, I can tell you that we went with Cat 11 because we set our limit and we were sticking to it come hell or high water...LOL

I want to be on that ship! And if it means that we have to sleep in the dark and only have one bathroom, well...so be it. I'm not going to be spending all that much time in my room anyway.
I plan to be there pretty much just to sleep and get ready...
We had a cat 11 on a 4-night cruise and I think I actually liked it better than the porthole room we had on our 7-night cruise...I slept better in the dark!
OK so maybe I'm rationalizing. But as (someone, I can't remember who at the moment) has in her siggie...I'd rather be on the ship in an inside stateroom than at home!

Andy, does your mom live in Hawthorne Hills? That was the community they are showing. It was almost completely demolished. You know thinking about that incident with the phones we had last night, we were thinking "what if this is a warning to get out of the house"? Quite honestly we were relly freaking out. The phones kept ringing in a strange ring and kept ringing over and over, and we literally had to go around and unplug all the phones in the house. At that point they went dead and at that point I had contacted them on my other phone. No explanation. Wouldn't it be great if the phone co had this in effect and why don't they? The technology is there. All those people would've been woken up like we were and gotten out safe.Just food for thought.

I spoke to micmse last night and she had a horror story as well regarding Wed.I think they just grabbed bodies and put them on the phone. My ta said they hadn't loaded the repo in the system and they all had to wait a long time which at that point drove up the tiers .

Of all the cruise threads I have participated in this has to be the first to be at over 500 pages before I got in my first post. So I guess I should just jump in! Sailing with be me & DH. Were in stateroom 7106. Also my bff, her DH, another crazy couple and their DD will be sailing. Of the group DH & I have sailed the least on DCL, this will be our 4th cruise and for them the will each be hitting their double digits! I am only a little jealous!

My mom is in Forest Hills, about 6 to 8 miles from Paisley.

This is a trip of a lifetime!

BF and I are Cat 11/deck 6...we know we will be out and about most of the time (by the pool etc) so we were satisfied with this. (Would we have liked to be in a higher cat? sure! We are just happy to be on board!)

It seems like a great group on board!

Congrats! It's always nice to know what rooms you'll be in!!
I know you don't really NEED to know. But it's nice to have the peace of mind that you know exactly where on the ship you're going to be! And they're all together!!

You are close ... Wed was the first day on the phones for several CMs fresh out of training ... the CM I had was one of them, and I must say she did a stellar job (especially being a newbie).
