sounds nice!!!!!:) are they the ones who had people come in during trick or treating???? I think Dh took pics......

I don't think that was them....they didn't participate in the DIS TOT. But the room has a large hallway, separate Master suite, 2 HUGE bathrooms w/granite counters, living room, dining area, and a bar! It even has a doorbell...I just thought that was hysterical. We kept joking with them and saying that it was nice to see how the "other half" lives.

"Trip of a lifetime" - I think we should find room in our sigs for that!

Does this mean we all may die when we get back? OR before we get back???? We will be ending this trip by travelling in the Bermuda Triangle, right?!

Of all the cruise threads I have participated in this has to be the first to be at over 500 pages before I got in my first post. So I guess I should just jump in! Sailing with be me & DH. Were in stateroom 7106. Also my bff, her DH, another crazy couple and their DD will be sailing. Of the group DH & I have sailed the least on DCL, this will be our 4th cruise and for them the will each be hitting their double digits! I am only a little jealous!;)

Welcome to the party!!!! Good to see you here. :cool1:

Trust me , IF they show the trailer it will be all over YouTube .....But there is rumor that there may not be a trailer yet ....They might also show the trailer in front of that new movie Bridge to Terabithia .....I just hope they show something soon ...Im jonsing for some New Pirate stuff ...lol

pirate:

I've heard the trailer was going to be before Ghost Rider, nothing during the Super Bowl.

pirate: sorry, took the mini without even realizing it....hey I think that's 2 minis for me now, plus a real one.

Explain that please cuz I just got off the phone again with embarq and they refuse to give me any answer what went on.

Reverse 911

the police can use the Reverse 911 Community Notification System to notify residents and businesses about a potential emergency circumstance. The Reverse 911 Community Notification System is a valuable tool for the department to alert the community of "time critical" messages.
The Reverse 911 Community Notification System allows the police department to rapidly notify specific geographical areas by telephone. What may have taken hours upon hours consuming a large portion of staffing to accomplish can be done in a fraction of that time with little impact on officer deployment.

The capability to disseminate critical information in a very rapid manner with minimal staff means safety to residents and businesses alike. Officers who would be pulled away from assignments to conduct door-to-door notification may be left at strategic posts or to respond as needs arise during a crisis. Citizens are alerted in a more timely fashion about critical events allowing them additional and sometimes crucial time to take action, such as evacuating in the case of eminent natural disasters.

One of these days I'm gonna hit a 00, or even a 000, and I'm gonna poop a brick!!! :lmao: (and then wash my hands of course!!) LOL

WOW! :grouphug: To everyone who has checked in from FL & :wizard: to those we are still waiting to hear from.

It's weird (in a good way). We've only been chatting for 2 weeks-ish and when I saw the news this morning, Judy & Andy's mom were the first thoughts that went through my head.

We're having odd weather here, but in a good way. It is supposed to be 48-50 degrees today and maybe some rain. I am just dreading the day next week when all of this freezes.

Got2Travel... We're local & also thinking about the best way to get down there. Maybe we could rent a van or something & share costs. :hippie: Anything to help pay for this thing.

[new topic] I'm still so irritated about how DCL handled this. So many of us knew this was coming, and they knew we knew (why else cancel IC?). Didn't they learn anything from the Pin Craze? Yes, I'm happy to have gotten a cabin, but if I had somehow been able to get through I could have gotten a higher category for less $$$. I'll probably get around to complaining to them, but right now it's time to get DD up & get ready for work and pre-school. [/topic]

I'll catch up on the rest of the ramblings when I have a moment at work.

Sounds good. There will be 4 of us, how about you?
We've got plenty of time to get something put together.

Yes Lisa the same storm system went from central FLorida over to the coast and it looks like it hit the area around New Smyrna to Vero with tornadoes touching down. They are now off shore and we are in the clear so now the cleanup and search and rescue is underway.

Andy what are your relatives doing today being that they can't get back into the area?

You know I hate these creatures that prey upon people in this type of crisis. There are people stealing stuff and driving through the neighborhoods blocking emergency vehicles and workers travel in and out. Someday they won't be laughing about it.

Let's all keep telling ourselves that "This is a trip of a Lifetime" and maybe then we'll all begin to believe it's worth spending all of this money! :lmao:

No...Trip of a Lifetime (for me anyway) is a ride on Virgin Galactic! Of course that would be 20X+ the cost of this trip...and there's no Mickey ice cream bars to be delivered at 2am:laughing:

When checking your reservation online, does anyone else giggle when they see DAY 16--Port Canaveral?

Every time I see "Day 16" I involuntarily emit a slightly deranged sounding giggle and mutter, "That's just crazy!". Is there any known cure?

I was taught an interesting lesson in humility last night by my 10 yo DS. We were chatting and I asked if he'd told all of his friends at school about the cruise. He said no, that he just hadn't mentioned it. I told him that I was practically running up to strangers on the street to tell them all about it because I was so excited.

He said to me, "Mom, no one likes a bragger you know." Ok, lesson learned ...

:rotfl: out of the mouths of babes...
