NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! That's not what I was talking about at all. I meant that I don't want to be on deck 2...just like your DH's reasoning. We would have spent less if I could have brought myself to book a 9 but I couldn't so I booked us an 8.
DH was getting way over analytical. He likes deck 2, cat 9. But started thinking of the "seaspray" and how it could muck up his daily "porthole pictures."

FWIW, my conversation with the supervisor with regards to what is going to happen with all the GTY rooms went like this; IC is still holding the cabins even if they are refused, or deposits are not paid. All the GTY's booked on the 31st are being sent to IC, with all our preferences for cabin numbers/locations noted, and will be assigned by IC. How long that is going take...who knows. He also said the supervisors were putting all the info together after the phones shut down on the 31st, and there will be tons of cancellations after deposits are due because the same people had reservations/quotes pending with 3 and 4 different TA's under different ressie numbers
. I think DCL needs to take some responsibility in that happening. Had they at least gone through the IC list, people would not have felt the need to do that in an effort to get the best price/cabin possible.
Anywho, that was the word about GTY's as of yesterday morn. Things could have changed, and this super was not told yet.

I want to introduce myself to this board. I will be traveling on this "MAGICAL" cruise
sister Reenieny(she has written on this thread) along with her DH and DS.
This will be my 3rd Disney cruise on the Magic and I am looking forward to be cruisin' the west coast of Mexico and going thru the Panama Canal. I am also planning to visit Disneyland for the 1st time. I am a "Charter Annual Passholder at WDW. I go down there at least three times a year.
I am glad to see some familiar names going along for the ride "Veranda Man" (Hi Andy!!) and O'BWV ( Hi Mary Rose!).
My prayers go out to all the people in FL who have gone thru the tornado. I am watching CNN and the devastation is just terrible.
I look forward to meeting all of you and keeping up with the messages on this board.

Once again, bad info from DCL CMs. Are we all shocked?
I called DCL earlier this morning, cancelled one ressie and moved the deposit to the other ressie. Now, the ressie we kept was a cat 7 GTY. So if the DCL supv was right, it should've stayed GTY.
After the monies got moved, I got my confirmation faxed ... we now have a room assignment ... #5138 deck 5 cat 7 ... of course DH wants deck 6 or 7 so I'll call back Sunday to see about changing room numbers, but as of right now we are no longer GTY status and I am sure IC had nothing to do with our room assignment.
Anything to help pay for this thing.
