Congrats! It's always nice to know what rooms you'll be in!! :thumbsup2
I know you don't really NEED to know. But it's nice to have the peace of mind that you know exactly where on the ship you're going to be! And they're all together!! :thumbsup2

we were very relieved to find out that the rooms were together!! that was a huge fear of mine!! we most likely would have had to cancel if they weren't going to be connecting....would have been not worth it with kids that young!

ChrizJen where did you get that countdown with the ship on it?I don't like mine. Would it be ok to share?

When I made my booking on-line around 8:40am, all I could get was the late dinner seating. I really hoped for the early dinner seating. I am hoping that I can change our dinner seating to the earlier time slot (we have young kids). I called the reservation number and they said that they would include a note with my reservation. She told me that I would find out if our seating can be switched when I board the cruise. I am afraid that my request will get lost over the next 18 months. Any advice? Should I keep calling?

Well, I can tell you that we went with Cat 11 because we set our limit and we were sticking to it come hell or high water...LOL

I want to be on that ship! And if it means that we have to sleep in the dark and only have one bathroom, well...so be it. I'm not going to be spending all that much time in my room anyway. :confused3
I plan to be there pretty much just to sleep and get ready...
We had a cat 11 on a 4-night cruise and I think I actually liked it better than the porthole room we had on our 7-night cruise...I slept better in the dark! :thumbsup2
OK so maybe I'm rationalizing. But as (someone, I can't remember who at the moment) has in her siggie...I'd rather be on the ship in an inside stateroom than at home! :thumbsup2

I kinda feel the same way...verandah would be nice - especially for this cruise, but it just isn't in our price range...also, we hit rough seas on our return to PC last Oct - I was nervous enough, I don't think I would have wanted to know what it looked like outside a window or porthole!!!!:scared1:I don't think I would pay more for a porthole again...we did it once, it doesn't make that big a difference to me...but a verandah - if we could afford that , we would do it in a heartbeat!!!

You guys can come and hang out on our verandah - I don't know how we'll all fit but, hey - the more the merrier!

We're in Brentwood, just south of Nashville. Been here all of 7+ months ... lovin' the snow!! :thumbsup2

Colts? :lmao: I don't "do" football ... we TiVo the Superbowl and then later we fastforward through the game, and watch the commercials!! :rotfl2:

That's the best part of the game! :cool1:

that would be cool - if only for a little while!!!! I'll bring the drinks!!!!:)

DH got to see one of the suites last year as he went with DD for trick or treating - one of the DIsers was nice enough to invite everyone in - I was stuck back at the stateroom handing out goodie bags....I would love a chance just to see inside some of the other types of staterooms!!!!:wizard:

good thing we are both on the Wonder together!!!!;) :rotfl:

Yea, that's what I said as well..........................:rotfl2:

But, It Is The Trip of a Lifetime!!! and I'm still kicking myself in the butt for cancelling our August 2005 repo cruise.

Theres that phrase again :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Judy, so glad you daughter is well today...

Andy, so glad your Mom is safe, you're a good son!

before this was even booked, DD9 had invited 4 of her friends - and various parents - to join us!!! First, it was two girlfriends from class...a couple days later it was two boys from our street. I told her there was little chance anyone was gonna let us take their kid for 15+ days, across country, and through the Pananma Canal.....and if they did how on earth would we afford it?? She was just sure no one's parents would mind - and maybe they would want to come too ....and, get this!!!!!...she would get a job (the kid who won't even pick up her own room)!!!!!

the other part is that she had told everyone I had found a cruise on Ebay for $1000 pp... it was funny at the time - but now I am thinking it would have easier - and certainly cheaper!!!!

so , the joke at the bus stop is "how many are taking now?" and that the stateroom is getting terribly crowded - or that I better book an entire deck!!!!

:wizard:

Same with us....we are in a Cat 11 GTY also. We had a Cat 9 on our last cruise and while my dd loved looking thru the porthole every morning, it wasn't that big of a deal for us. A fellow DISer friend had a Cat 11, and I didn't think the size was too bad. I survived a dorm room for 2 years with 3 other women that was about that size. We really didn't spend any time at all in our room, other than sleeping and changing.

My parents are travelling with us, and I am anxious to hear if we will be near each other.

Darlene, We hung out quite a bit with GoofyDrivesACar & his dw LaRue, and they had a Cat 3 wheelchair accessible room (8600)...and it was huge!

I was taught an interesting lesson in humility last night by my 10 yo DS. We were chatting and I asked if he'd told all of his friends at school about the cruise. He said no, that he just hadn't mentioned it. I told him that I was practically running up to strangers on the street to tell them all about it because I was so excited.

He said to me, "Mom, no one likes a bragger you know." Ok, lesson learned ...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I am Hoping for the POTC 3 trailer to run this weekend during the SuperBowl ...Its just a teaser trailer so I have to Tivo it so I can watch it over and over again ...LOL

sounds nice!!!!!:) are they the ones who had people come in during trick or treating???? I think Dh took pics......

Prayers and Pixie Dust is needed for my mom's area of Florida. My mom just called and said a tornado went through her area, her home is OK, but my aunt and uncle that live just a few blocks from my mom, suffered damage to their home, my mom also told me that there has been loss of life reported. :sad1:
pixiedust: :worried: I hope everyone's okay. How scary.

that is so sweet!!!:) :thumbsup2 Thankfully I have also taught DD about not bragging and how many she is in school with are not in the same position we are......she just can't contain herself when she gets so excited about this stuff...I think that is why she wants to bring everyone with us!!!!!:)
