Something from Mousesavers that was posted elsewhere:

Using Walt Disney World Tickets at Disneyland

Interesting, unpublished fact: you can use any unexpired, leftover days on a Walt Disney World ticket at Disneyland or DCA! Present the Disney World ticket at the gate on arrival -- they will take it somewhere, deduct a day from it, and give you a one-day Disneyland Park Hopper ticket. You can repeat this day by day until the Disney World ticket is used up. They will not give you a multi-day ticket all at once, even if you have multiple days left on your Disney World ticket. Also, MouseSavers.com reader Danny P notes that any Disneyland ticket obtained from exchanging a Walt Disney World ticket must be used on the same day it was exchanged.

This policy has been in effect for at least 5 years, and the information was last reconfirmed by a MouseSavers.com reader as of December 2007.

Disneyland tickets are NOT accepted at Walt Disney World, and Annual Passes are only good at the park where they were purchased (WDW Annual Passes are NOT good at Disneyland, and vice versa).

You would have to do an analysis to see if the price you paid for the WDW tickets is worth spending at DL. Plus you will have to go to the ticket booth everyday.

Just a quick drive by (well was until I realised there had been a pirate run)! For those of you feeling deprived I'm off to raid our office tuck shop for a chunky peanut kit kat. Still undecided on tours - have to see what DD fancies I suppose, but I know horseriding is a no from DH!

Good Morning!

I have a snow day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whooo hooo! 3 day weekend for me!

(too bad at some point I will have to shovel and dig out my car!!)

Just wonder if anyone who was lucky enough to do the panama trip before has any information they could pass on about shore excursions. am getting more confused by the minute and would like to hear anyone,s view on the good and bad ones from personal experience.

Thank you in anticipation.

I believe Tom31 said we had 500+ folks registered on the Pirate Zone and this does not even count the folks some of us have coming with us - as in my case I have about 30 people in my group. ..... <edited to save space> .....

I can see it now... if we could get all 500+ of us into one dining rotation on the last nite Todd would stand up and declare...

Wow - a DIS food fight - that would be spectacular! :rotfl2:

BUT, since we have a split with Early and Late dining, it is more likely to be something like 250 each or maybe 300/200 if a few more have early than late. Wouldn't you think a dining room can handle at least 300? If the ship can handle about 2400 guests and they are split evenly between the 2 dining times, that is 1200 per dining time. With 3 dining rooms, that should be about 400 per room.

Check this page for some trip reports, etc. from the prior cruise.

On Mouseplanet they have the 2005 excursions and some reader reviews

Well, my broadband is back up and running....

Roger, what a DARLING puppy!!! I want to reach in and give it a squeeze! Name??

I seem to go through "burst" planning. Will spend two days scouting excursions and such and then let it go for a couple of weeks.
I keep a packing list in my computer, so that I remember all the "extra" stuff and toiletries all the time. Even for clothes...it's all the same...the only thing I have to wait to do is to make a specific clothing list for each night once we get closer and I know what will fit and what won't.
I'm just OCD enough to type up the list and take it with me....I keep it in a drawer or on the dresser...so that I remember what I chose to wear each night. Too much rum and I might get all corn-fused!

I believe there was a rule established about 38,214 posts ago that any post containing math should have a large, colored, blinking "Math Warning"

LOL

You got the same result I did.

And we had a great time with Cheryl & John!!! :goodvibes And just so everyone knows...Cheryl does NOT sleep on the cruise!! LOL! She couldn't possibly since she is in the clubs until closing and then no matter how early I was out I would run into her! LOL! One of the times she had already been shopping and was back waiting for her excursion to leave! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I was just trying to keep up with the young ones!!! :dance3: :dance3:

Cheryl is also VERY good at keeping an eye on my DS15 and was able to tell me where he was any time of day and night ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

David

It was very easy to see Alex!!! He had a harem surrounding him!!:lmao: :lmao:

I can top that!!! In Samantha's bedroom (we were in the Roy) we found a pair of.....women's....RED.......UNDERWEAR!!!!! AACCCKKKK!!!!!!!!

That beats me!!!!:thumbsup2

For those of you interested in horseback riding but concerned with either DCL's cost or their age requirement, I know that Jo (ga9497) found one in Aruba. Since I am already booked for Jolly Pirates there, I wanted to see if I could do it elsewhere and leave that day just for snorkeling. This is what I found for Cabo:

http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Horseback-Riding.htm

I booked the private 2 hour ride for me and my girls, but there are lots of opportunities, and from my research it appears that the Red Rose ranch is an easy taxi ride from the port.

Also, since you only do either 1 or 2 hours, it should still be easy to spend time on the beach near the ship.

The last time I went horseback riding was about 45 years ago!!! I never went before and I got a horse named "Old CaseY". He was ready for the glue factory. I was stopped by a Forest Ranger who asked for my horseback riding permit. I thought he was being funny but it was true.:confused3 I was told to turn back and purchase one for 50 cents. Old Casey knew a short cut back to the stables. He decided to cut right through the woods in a full gallop!!!  :scared1: I lost the reins and was holding on to the horese's neck for dear life!!! :worship: We got back to the stable in record time. :rotfl: The stable guys said they never saw "Old Casey" trot let alone gallop in years.:lmao: :lmao: That was the first and last time I will go horseback riding.:rolleyes1

Saturday was supposed to go to my DisBro's house, but he had the stomach flu. So instead had the DD bring a friend over to play the Wii. And just like the TV commercial, said friend - when playing Bowling on the Wii - struck not only the pins but my Sharp LCD with the remote. :scared1: Cracked glass... not economical to fix. The parents of said child offered to replace, we declined. Alas, I could not watch the Giant / New England game in HD!

I am so sorry to hear that!!! That is one of my biggest fears when letting other kids play since DH never had the tv mounted -- the mount is sitting on our back porch!!!....
We make the kids stand really far away from the plasma when they play the wii..........

I was in a big funk until the next night, when we took the kids to see Hannah Montana (we suprised them)... (come to think of it I coulda scalped those tix and payed for the $1350 Sharp). The concert was great fun.

After we found out how much our 4 tickets would go for Dh & I gave serious consideration to selling them! LOL! We surprised our children, also. We told 6dd when we were getting our coats on to get in the car! LOL!

I worry about this too!

We have had one mishap. My SIL was over playing with the kids and she accidentally cracked our little dog, Sloopy, on the head! He is always under foot, and my SIL felt so bad afterwards. Thankfully, Sloopy seemed fine, although he did avoid her for the rest of the visit.

Soon after, we realized that the Wii remote wasn't working....we couldn't move the mii's arms and so forth. Well, we called Nintendo, and they gave us instructions as to how to fix it. You have to wack the remote in the palm of your hand to free the little sensor inside. Apparenty when it hit Sloopy's head, it got stuck. We did just that and the remote was working fine again.

BTW....who else has created the POC characters as miis? Are we the only dorks? Actually, my DS created them, and he did an AWEsome job!

Too bad, Cheryl -- we probably could have taken up a collection for those who would like to see you fly past, holding on for dear life, and you wouldn't have even have had to pay for the experience!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

EASILY . . .:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Weight does not help high blood pressure.

I am soo glad to hear DW is doing so good now!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I can't wait to meet her!:goodvibes

Thank you and well done on getting your BP down

I am trying to find out if there is any interest in putting together a CD photo (sort of our own PhotoPass CD) of pictures on this cruise. I would put together the CD is there is enough interest. I see it being general interest pictures - the ship, the ports, characters, events, etc. This way I can tap into those that are more skilled photographers than I am (which is just about anybody - my method is to take lots of pictures and hope some of them are good).

I would have everyone interested email me their best pictures after the cruise and I will put together the CD. I don't think it should cost more than a couple of dollars each for mailing, etc.

I am a scrapbooker so I am always looking for more pictures. Let me know what you think.

Cabo, the sea-life and sea views or beach's are the best, reasonable shopping last time I was there.
PV, I haven't been to , DCL did call there last time.Tour of Mountains and little villages, or beach.
Acapulco, Fort, shopping, Cliff divers, There is a very good dolphin arena there, I enjoyed it, I have been to Cozumel and Costa maya Dolphins this is the best as its in pools, not the sea. You can walk to fort or markets, easy! but our early arrival is an issue.

Columbia, be careful I recommend DCL tours here for your security Beaches are not good, ( or they were not last time I was there). Sightseeing of old town is good.

Aruba Haven't been there before, but just walk off ship, turn left the best beach in the Island turn right a big shopping mall with designer clothes.
