8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 2

I am trying to find out if there is any interest in putting together a CD photo (sort of our own PhotoPass CD) of pictures on this cruise. I would put together the CD is there is enough interest. I see it being general interest pictures - the ship, the ports, characters, events, etc. This way I can tap into those that are more skilled photographers than I am (which is just about anybody - my method is to take lots of pictures and hope some of them are good).

I would have everyone interested email me their best pictures after the cruise and I will put together the CD. I don't think it should cost more than a couple of dollars each for mailing, etc.

I am a scrapbooker so I am always looking for more pictures. Let me know what you think.

I'm willing to send pictures, but it really would be better to mail you a CD with my pictures. I take high resolution photos and have a hard time emailing more than one or two at a time.

I won't be contributing any award winning photos, as I am a total novice.....but I would love to take part! I know I'll be snapping shots all over the place, and I will gladly share any that turn out decent.

Just heard from Los Veranos Canopy Tours and DS and DH are in for the 1PM tour. (I will be a non-participant) DS is very excited - he had a blast doing a ropes course that included a zip line when he was in Minnesota last month.

Yesterday's thread anniversary inspired me to try and find when I joined the thread. I knew it couldn't have been at the beginning since I was on the Magic from the 13-20th last year and then spend a couple days at WDW.

I found my first post to this thread. It was on January 25th and over 150 pages had already been posted!

When I was looking for it, I noted a "prediction" that if the thread continued at the current rate, we would be over 77,000 posts by the time we cruised! We've blown that number away and still have many months to go!

I sent in the request yesterday - I think it was around 3 or 4 PM. I just heard back a little bit ago at 1PM - so just under 24 hours.

I am getting ready to make our reservation for the 1 PM tour, but DH is hesitant to do anything that isn't a DCL sponsored tour. I on the other hand am not sure if I will do the zipline. I did one about 15 years ago and enjoyed the ride down, but it is the trip up that scared the carp out of me. I know DH really wants to do this and snorkeling on this trip, but I am looking for someone we can "tag along" with so he won't be so hesitant. Any takers? Looks like I will have some company if I decide not to do the zipline.

Also on a cruise note , once again for many new people , we are planning a take over of the Disney Magic on Pirate night with many characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies , we have a list on the website and if you would like to dress as a specific character please let me know , this is all in good fun and we will take as many Pirates and Wenches as we can if you cant do a specific character , but if you have always wanted to and never have really done something like this , now is your chance with ALOT of people who are going to do it and youll never have to see again after 15 days ....[/COLOR]

We are Only 60 Days away from the West Coast Meeting of the Pirates At Disneyland...Please let Mr.Cotton (GoofyontheHiSeas) know if your coming we have a dinner planned at Blue Bayou inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride , then after dinner all us Pirates are going to commandeer a boat eerr I mean ship and sail our way to Port Royal inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride where we will all sing my favorite song and drink rum till we cant sing no more (okay, probably no rum part but wishful thinking...maybe someone should bring a flask ...hint hint )

Wow, Todd, I would love to ride Pirates of the Caribbean with you and a bunch of other Dissers after eating at Blue Bayou -- it sounds really wonderful. I'm envious of those who can make it but it won't be me this time, unfortunately.

I also look forward to Pirates night on the repo, and will be in a (new from the one you saw me in this past summer) pirate's costume, but I don't think I can make it fit into any particular category. Are we still planning the Rocky Horror-style interactive showing of the Pirate's movie? I think that would be tremendous fun, and we could have as many people as want to be involved . . .

I would not join any cruise meets thread until I was ''on the cruise'' just for luck, in fact I thought it bad luck to say in advance I was on it, I remembered the rush of 2004 for 2005 and knew it would happen again.

There was a PANAMA thread in the main forum, people asking questions and I was active in helping people on that, I posted some pictures, and then found Mr Verandah Man -Andy, was posting them here, My Navigators became in demand and as well as posting them on this thread, another Website took them and then IBGRAVE's, uploaded them onto the Dis WDWINFO here.

One congratulation, the 2005 Repo thread was closed down, and after a siesta, came back in another form, at a later date, at least this one has kept going, although, I read, long threads slow the DIS down, and they may 'CAP' threads if they cannot resolve.

The Pirates Interactive (Rocky Horror Picture show type thing ) would be great but the best one to do it too is Curse of the Black Pearl ...we would have to figure a way to coordinate with someone on the ship to see if the would run POTC COTBP on Pirate Night ...Otherwise we could do it on a different night , which may actually be better ...

I am seriously thinking Pirate Night will not be until after we leave Aruba , so towards the end of the cruise ....And dont forget the Pirates Picture with the Dutchman early Morning on Castaway Cay day ..

Pirate night for the Westbound is on night 13.
If it is the same on the EB it would make Pirate night on the after it docks in Aruba, August 29th
