Congrats Pamela!!!

I just went to see how many posts I had, and my last one was #400 to the thread. Since I barely have over 800 total posts, I'd say that's pretty good!

I'll have to have a party when I hit 500!:thumbsup2 I better start thinking of something profound to post now!

 :woohoo:  :woohoo:
To you too Mike!

Snowing on the northside of town too Pam.. Geoff has shoveled twice already.. Meteorologists expect 3 to 6 inches of snow north and west of Chicago, with less expected south of the city and in northwest Indiana.

but the good news is that DH and I went and got the HEP A shots for the cruise.. :cheer2:

Is anyone else getting snowed on? I'm alone at the office today, so I am just watching the white stuff come down outside the window (and DISing of course! :thumbsup2 ) I sort of feel like I am sitting inside a snowglobe.

I just stepped outside on the porch and shot a couple photos. Our office is an old victorian Queen Anne style house on a corner lot. The shot with the gazebo is facing a fairly major street and the shot with the arbor is facing the side street.

I'm babysitting my father's dog while they are gone and he is going nuts every time the plow goes by out on the street. They have my kid, but I'm not sure it is a fair trade with this crazy animal underfoot! :rotfl2:

It looks so pretty:goodvibes No snow here! We are expecting cold and flurries next week though.

I was so concerned about how we were going to chat that I completely forgot that I won't be around tonight. We are going to the Emerald Bowl at ATT Park (San Francisco). It's DS's first football game and he is beyond excited. We weren't sure we were going until Wed. It is a field trip for his flag football league and they only bought tickets for the kids. Well with DS's fracture I won't let him go alone and they didn't want to let me go. I even offered to drive us in my own car. They finally conceeded since not all the kids are going so there's enough room for me. OH joy! I get to spend my night out in the cold, with possible rain showers, with a bunch of 9-12 yr olds. What a wonderful Fri night!.........NOT

I'm hoping DS will do ok. This will be our first outing since his injury. We'll have to take it real slow getting to the seats, especially since we're up in the nosebleeds. And I'll have plenty of bags with us since he still gets nauseaus. I'm going to keep a constant level of Tylenol in him to hopefully prevent headaches. Then we'll sleep in tomorrow and not do anything all day. That is if I can keep him off the Wii. :rotfl:

Monica, hope you all have a great time! Enjoy your outing (even it is with a bunch of 9-12 yo boys). What a game to see for his 1st one.:goodvibes

I'm not sure that a shot is ever "good news" :rotfl2: but we all need to have our annual exams in January and we'll be getting the shot then.

I really think I am going to close up the office in another hour - the snow is still coming down.

Up here in Madison we've already gotten at least 3-4 inches so far  It doesn't look like it's letting up and they said we were expected to get 3-5 inches. Looks like the weather man was wrong :sad2:

This is my 300th Post on this thread!
I know that is still pretty small compared to many of you, but I'm excited    :dance3: :yay: :yay: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Pamela (pdarrah)

Yeah!!! Good for you... be careful driving home in this mess.. not all of the roads are cleared

I just checked and I have 623 on this thread.. WOW I am impressed not a whole lot like the main chatters .. but a lot for me...

Well I think the shot is good news only that the cruise is becoming reality.. not just some far off thing to think about for a long time.

I agree that business is slow this afternoon.. be careful driving home.. company won't close until 5 pm and then on Monday it will be 5 pm too.. gotta het the last minute folks a chance to buy software.. need some??? Big discounts at end of year..;)

Just remembered there's free WiFi at the park. If I had a longer life battery I'd take the laptop and try to chat with you all. But then again, I'm going to be so bundled up, I doubt I could type. :cold:

try and have fun Monica... at least you aren't sitting with 6 or more inches of snow..

I'm working on our Passport Applications. Under Countries To Be Visited, what do I put, Central and South America or list each port we're stopping at? :confused3 This is my first passport.

I know I haven't posted much lately, but I do try to lurk almost everyday. How many of you would consider booking excursions not through DCL? I have been researching over the past few days (more free time with school out for the holidays) and am interested in the horseback riding in Puerto Vallarta through the jungle (offered through Shore Trips) or in Aruba. The problem with DCL offerings is the age requirement (my girls are 4 and 7 and can definitely handle these tours-regularly ride quarterhorses).

You should put Mexico, Columbia and Aruba. We're not getting off in Panama so you don't need to list them.

Deb, that question on the passport is not too important. Just list Mexico and you'll be fine. Once you get the passport you can go anywhere, doesn't matter if you listed it or not. I listed Paris on my first application because that's where my trip was planned for. But by the time I got the passport, plans had changed and I went to Japan. Honestly I'm not even sure why they ask.

Fellow Swabbies, I don't know about you, but I think these wenches protest a bit too much. From the pictures I've seen posted, there isn't a one of them who would need the services of Omar, even after 14 days of Disney food.

Now, the guys, on the other hand.... I already have enough trouble sitting down in the DCL bathroom as is.

puckerup: puckerup: puckerup:  puckerup: puckerup: puckerup:

Thanks for the quick answers Mon and Tracy, you're the best!!. Are we having Chat on the website tonight?

Booked airfare home from Orlando in Sept. I figured I wouldn't want to mess with the bags on the way home, so flying NWA. Still keeping an eye out for SWA for trip to CA. They are still only booking thru May 9th.

Are you purchasing DCL transfers? If not they will not take your bags to the airport regardless of the airline. I have already been down this road. Based on the "announcement" DCL made in October about the qualifying airlines and being able to check your bags from outside your stateroom to your home airport only apply to people who bought transfers (who already get their bags checked through anyway so what the hell was the annoucement for?) Bitter!

Patty - thanks for checking into this for us. I appreciate the "head up" you sent me.
