Hi Diane...........

I was running late this morning. I slept in a little too long and just about made it to work ontime...............:lmao:

With Angelina being off my school, my whole schedule has been messed up................

Hi Liz. we could use some packing advice. We're heading down to WDW next Saturday (Jan 5-Linda's B-Day). How cool had it been getting at night? Any long range forecasts that you heard lately?

Ummmmm Redrum? Isn't that like Hollywood for Murder?......:confused3

Woo-Hoo!!! I just received our confirmation from the Jolly Pirate folks in Aruba. We are on the morning trip.

Thank you to whoever posted that their refund policy looked OK. I also sent them an email asking about it, but haven't had a reply yet - but DH said to go ahead and book it since it is fairly unlikely we would miss Aruba anyway...

I love to snorkle and it doesn't look like there is much recommended on the Pacific side, so I am looking forward to this.

Pamela (pdarrah)

We just got our confirmation e-mail this morning too, so we're in! My oldest loved snorkeling on our last cruise, and the twins did pretty well too, so we were definitely looking to snorkle on this trip. I wanted to do it in Cabo, but DW did some research and came up with the same conclusion as you, that the snorkling is not as good on the Pacific side. So we're really excited about this one, and it will be even better sharing the day with our fellow DIS pirates.

This is my 300th Post on this thread!
I know that is still pretty small compared to many of you, but I'm excited    :dance3: :yay: :yay: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Pamela (pdarrah)

Congrats Pamela!!!

I just went to see how many posts I had, and my last one was #400 to the thread. Since I barely have over 800 total posts, I'd say that's pretty good!

I'll have to have a party when I hit 500!:thumbsup2 I better start thinking of something profound to post now!

Don't know if Liz is around but I can tell you it gets a bit chilly at night. Here is what Yahoo has to say

High 73-74 and low around 57, partly cloudy for both the 5th and the 6th

Oops some how a double post. And my first one too.

Would have loved to do the Pirate trip but neither of us snorkles and the excursion is a bit longer than we would like.

well pirates...guess there's no chat tonight.......(server going down at 9pm)

Don't we have any alternatives? Does Pirate Zone chat work?

Is anyone else getting snowed on? I'm alone at the office today, so I am just watching the white stuff come down outside the window (and DISing of course! :thumbsup2 ) I sort of feel like I am sitting inside a snowglobe.

I just stepped outside on the porch and shot a couple photos. Our office is an old victorian Queen Anne style house on a corner lot. The shot with the gazebo is facing a fairly major street and the shot with the arbor is facing the side street.

I'm babysitting my father's dog while they are gone and he is going nuts every time the plow goes by out on the street. They have my kid, but I'm not sure it is a fair trade with this crazy animal underfoot! :rotfl2:

It sort-of worked once before when DIS chat was down. I got into it without any trouble, but I know some other people couldn't get it to work. It is possible that there is a problem for those with slow connections - I'm pretty sure Cheryl had trouble when we did it and she was still on dial-up.

I hope it works - with DS8 away I should actually have a little spare time to spend on chat tonight!

Thanks Arlene! Sounds like some layering will be the way to go!

I think the Pirate Zone chat is the plan for tonight. I probably won't make it tonight. I'm having some friends from school over. We're not partying too late, since DW has to work six 12-hour days in a row starting tomorrow morning. So I may make it there if I can find it and figure out how to make it work, but if not, y'all have fun tonight!

Hi Mike

This is what it looks like so far

Saturday high 84 low 63
Sunday High 80 low 62
Monday High 78 low 58
Tuesday high 73 low 47
Cold front coming in...They have not say for how long ........first freeze of the year in a long time
Wednesday high 57 low 34
Thursday 58 low 38

I was so concerned about how we were going to chat that I completely forgot that I won't be around tonight. We are going to the Emerald Bowl at ATT Park (San Francisco). It's DS's first football game and he is beyond excited. We weren't sure we were going until Wed. It is a field trip for his flag football league and they only bought tickets for the kids. Well with DS's fracture I won't let him go alone and they didn't want to let me go. I even offered to drive us in my own car. They finally conceeded since not all the kids are going so there's enough room for me. OH joy! I get to spend my night out in the cold, with possible rain showers, with a bunch of 9-12 yr olds. What a wonderful Fri night!.........NOT

I'm hoping DS will do ok. This will be our first outing since his injury. We'll have to take it real slow getting to the seats, especially since we're up in the nosebleeds. And I'll have plenty of bags with us since he still gets nauseaus. I'm going to keep a constant level of Tylenol in him to hopefully prevent headaches. Then we'll sleep in tomorrow and not do anything all day. That is if I can keep him off the Wii. :rotfl:

Thanks Liz. Guess we better make sure we're ready for any kind of weather. Otherwise it'll be a replay of the year it was so cold that we bought a beach towel to wrap around the twins in the stroller to use as an extra blanket. And that was on top of their winter coats! WDW even had little "Pardon Our Appearance...Jack Frost paid us an unexpected visit" signs in the planters where they pulled out all of the frost-killed flowers.

No matter. It will still be warmer than PA and we won't have to go to work!

monica - ask the ushers if there's anything they can do for you. They might let you use the handicapped elevators (or if you're lucky the VIP ones).

Good luck & stay warm & dry.

Maybe your "forgetting" was wishful-thinking trying to get you out of the event! :rotfl2: They must have had some tickets other than the kids - they couldn't have been sending them without chaperons, could they?

It is still snowing here ... it is hard to believe that there wasn't a speck of snow here at 8AM this morning. If this keeps up, I am going to close my office early (total sacrifice - right? :rotfl2: )
