Does this apply since a chunk of the site IS available to everyone? Yes, you need a login to get to the pirate list and a few other things, but most of the basic info is open to all....

I could certainly understand that policy if the entire site were closed to only those registered, but since only a portion is closed one would think it would be OK to post.

Fellow Swabbies, I don't know about you, but I think these wenches protest a bit too much. From the pictures I've seen posted, there isn't a one of them who would need the services of Omar, even after 14 days of Disney food.

Now, the guys, on the other hand.... I already have enough trouble sitting down in the DCL bathroom as is.

Yes, Crew, we have SAMPLES!!!

I stopped by our printer yesterday to play with the new equipment he purchased. It's awesome. Naturally, I forgot the camera so you'll just have to read my description.

The shirts are made with a transfer material. It's like a light vinyl - but doesn't add much stiffness to the shirt. They ran a test shirt when they first got the machines - it's been washed about 10 times now (transfer on the outside), with no fading or damage. So, it seems to be sturdy stuff.

And a tote bag

Because there are no set ups - we can have an extended ordering window. I can send him shirts in bunches of 20 or so to work on as they come in. At this point - I'm thinking the ordering window will be the 1st of May through June 10. That way I can have the shirts in my hands by July 1 and have them mailed out by July 4. I want all this done by then as we'll be leaving for sabbatical about then and it needs to be finished.

I'm also thinking based on what everyone said - we'll charge at the 200 print level. I'm pretty comfortable that we'll have at least 200 pieces, but not certain we'll make 300. If we make 300 or 400 - I'll use the extra funds to host a party on board. (DH thinks it'll be too complicated to refund the extra $$.)

If I can get committment for 300 pieces by the time the ordering window opens - then I'll charge at that level.

OK, I think that's it!! Let me know if you have any questions. If someone can tell me where the next meet is - I'll ship the samples out for all to see.

Looks great. We will definately be ordering some. And I love the tote bag. A woman can never have too many tote bags. Thanks for taking this on. I am sure it will be (and has been) a lot of work because all the pirate will want a couple.

Woo-Hoo!!! I just received our confirmation from the Jolly Pirate folks in Aruba. We are on the morning trip.

Thank you to whoever posted that their refund policy looked OK. I also sent them an email asking about it, but haven't had a reply yet - but DH said to go ahead and book it since it is fairly unlikely we would miss Aruba anyway...

I love to snorkle and it doesn't look like there is much recommended on the Pacific side, so I am looking forward to this.

Morning everyone! Don't know where the week has gone. Had plans to do things around the house and well the best laid plans... you know how that goes! LOL!

Took dd to the mall yesterday to get her ears peirced at Clare's. She did real well, but you should of seen her face after the girl did the first lobe! Never saw eyes so big, but she didn't scream or cry! She picked out her May birthstones, emeralds, for the starter earrings. So I let her get them done 4 months before her 10th birthday.

Enjoying our time off, back to work next Wed. Weather hasn't been too bad, but really foggy at times. Lake freighters are still running, I can hear their horns at night. Seems the shipping season gets longer and longer.

Booked airfare home from Orlando in Sept. I figured I wouldn't want to mess with the bags on the way home, so flying NWA. Still keeping an eye out for SWA for trip to CA. They are still only booking thru May 9th.

I just confirmed Hazel and I to attend one of the DCL House Parties on 1/26/08. A fellow DIS'er (allears) invited us last evening. I found out that this DIS'er lives just 3 exits away from us off I-295. This family is also going on their 7th DCL cruise the week after the party, lucky them..........

Congrats on DD's ear piercing. My DD just had hers done this past year & it is quite an exciting event.
