And yeah - I saw this line you wrote : "...This is all in good fun mind you...". Having acknowledged this ... I ask again... is this Prince Adam or what?

From the couple of times that I have seen and talked with Adam, he seems like a very nice young man. I think the two of them are good for one another, he is a lot more outgoing than Angelina's former boyfriend. Adam came over the other night and asked Angelina if her homework was completed. She told him she only had one more thing to finish, he said, "Well, let's get it done." Then he sat there and helped her finish making a collage.

As long as my sweetie is happy, that's all I care about. Well that, and her not dating to other team's quarterback....................

Nice picture, Crash! That's you and which other pirate in the fancy costumes carrying the sign????????:lmao: :lmao:

Anyone else notice the cordless DRILL BLENDER he has at the lower edge of his Thanksgiving table? I always knew Roger was a wild NUTMEG pirate... but this is a bit MORE WILD then I would have expected!

TheNutmeg_txt.JPG

DH and I were watching Rachel Ray's cooking show yesterday morning and she was grating fresh nutmeg. A cook's tip popped up that said "if stored in an air tight container, fresh nutmeng will last forever"........wow, Roger!

Off to Black Friday shopping. Only 2 stores and I am getting DH up to be my chauffer. Kohl's and Tar-jay. Most of my shopping is already done, except some things I will probably order online. There are snow flurries here and a lot colder than yesterday (in the 60's).

This laptop is driving me crazy! DH forgot to plug it in and the battery is going dead.

oops, on the last line....its my lil'miss cutie....that claimed i
have the "prefect talent"..for ticking off others...,

...oh, yeAH ~nothing more "bountiful"..than A " buckeye princess"...,

...but don't get me wrong...i  miss-A-kin ' fans....after all,

their miseries..add alot :yay: ..to the victory...:thumbsup2

..ok, college dyanimics..concerning football rivarlies.....i think, the
traditions...being for the kids..should always remain # 1 and then
to the community...while the points [victories] & $$$, should only be
used for supporting the kids.

i think my feelings were acquired by my experiences...with my local
high school team..and its connections to the thundering herd. i'm
not saying "i'm right"...rather than, this is why football traditions are
important to me. across the boards, & country..we're actual all on
the same team...no matter the sporting event. osu..became one of
our favorites....based on my father's devotions...& my wife/nieces '
school. however, it was important to shared gainsville with my wife/
kids..when we went to fla., :cheer2: . my buddies & i ..went to games
for alternatives..reasons....i won't rule out the cheerleaders, & to
pick up girls..but seldom were we paying attentions..to the scores.

even to this day..my lil'miss swears..the only reason ......i got excited
when osu ..scored against....mich., was to get a lil' fresh....now ,
that hurt my feelings..how could she think ....me? :rolleyes1 . in facts,
this "battle" in the stands...she blame, on causing her to tumble...on
top of the fans below ...us. what A+ attention getter....lil' vixen of  s.

..the whole section came to her rescue...giving me the "evil" eye. :snooty:

...there's alot more to this "date"..then meets the eye, pirate: ! * foremost
she was going say no....but luckily i read her right..so before she mutter
no thanks...i look into her eyes..& whispered..."plez say yes". that's how
close...all our kids came from...not getting..an invite.

oh, i had alot friends going osu..while i was going to ou. fun. as anyone,
from mich. knows..."the game"..is all about the pre-game...parties....
:rolleyes1 . then having to drive across the half the state...to pick
my lil'miss' flame up...oboyion! she was dressed to this hilt....:faint:

me, on the other hand..was out to dry....:earboy2: ., but i did bring
presents...one in which..was this hugmogus..hersley kisses...which i
whispered....:love1: . ha! [ she ignored me! ]....

*****
to this day....it is very easy to recall..exactly what she had on. :flower3:
..lisa would like this...red-plaid western, top..with ruffles, & western
chic .."tight fitting"...bluejeans..and her cowgirls boots, [ that we still
have]...& her buckeyes' necklace....so while i was..sleep walkin, that
woke me wide awake! in an instance!

(guys only- ever noticed..how all the lady~bucks' ...buckeye necklaces...
always end @? if not, you need to go back..to school...:teacher: )

welll we get to "rendez~:smokin: ~vous, & hold to behold....iam missing
one ticket. * even to this day..my lil'miss ...tells anyone who will listens,
" I ", tried to palm her off on my brother......while i go to the game by myself.
.......,

:scared: [where she gets..this craxy ideas..is beyond me..but remember,
?..she ignored my "hugmogus".. pure...cholocolate ..kisses? ;) .

next thing...ya know..the osu 's cheerleaders..from next door..asked if
anyone missing a ticket...& thought maybe one of us..might'VE dropped
" it" last night..helping them...practice....their :cheer2: , :rolleyes1

roger, i have had this ball hat, like 15 years..its a "dale earnhart"
signature one..heck, i even gave my son...one of his wranlger
ball hat. funny, i never noticed the numeg racing...emblem.

:scared: ,off the hook..and even to this day..my lil'miss has never pick
up on this lil' connection..how "her" ticket...got into the hands...of
the osu cheerleaders...whew..some ..deserets..are better left...on
the shelf.

on the walk back...is where ,we ran into bo , & "how its going"?..my
futrue lil'miss sweetie...asked...did he just growled?.... ,
dear...lil'miss, let me explained...who that is.....so now can you imagined
the llllong ride backkkk...

oh, the "it"..was a ticket osu/mich, right on the 50 yard line, behind the
team...you know, i still don't remember exctly how it went on the field,
except all the "activities"...in the stands....where the real "game' going
on & on & on...ongoing to this day....pirate: .

by defaults, i taking what i can, out of life...& so goes my references to
college football traditions...after all, we all are on the same team?

..dear mic's fans...say what you want, but like always, the osu's head
coach...demonstrated respect to all his oponents...they took a knee,
when they could have scored another td, ..he is a class act. [ in the
spirit of loathing one's opposition..is not the same as actual hating or
hurting them.] besides, there are other fun~things one can be doing...
like cheering..with one lil'sweetie...funny, isn't this what everybody
doing..out to have sum'fun.

for the offical record...that's what my buddies from osu..who were in
our wedding...wrote all over our car....those monsters! ps, it isn't
possible..due to moral rstrictions...to tell the song we're singing....
on the way..to the church. pirate:

LG....what a sweet story. I can remember what my DH wore the day we first met! He had on Jeans (pegged, of course) and a Slippery Rock sweatshirt....and penny loafers! LOL! He surprised me a few years into our relationship when we were at a shopping mall and he identified the prefume I was wearing the night we met! And it wasn't a perfume I commonly wore, as I was using some my roommate owned. I thought that was soooo sweet!

As for Jim Tressel.....yes he is a class act! He attends Mass daily, too. He knows where his priorities are!

I hope everyone has a BLESSED THANKSGIVING!

A few more people have been added to our list of *guests* today! We can't wait! Everyone should start arriving in about an hour.... :goodvibes

I still can't keep up with this thread -- I am able to read on average about 5 pages a week...... ;) That is not even going to make a dent!

Since I was last here we've had a Confirmation (16dd), a wedding (in Cancun, 24dd) and two of our chidlren (16dd & 9ds) were in a community theater production -- Charlotte's Web. 9ds was Wilber. When the kids are in a show it takes up hours of our time everyday. And they are auditioning for another show this Mon - Wed.

Cheryl/John check our other thread for lots of pictures.

Congrats to all!

We went to see Enchanted on Wednesday eve, and we all enjoyed it. The little chipmunk and Prince are so funny!

Yesterday morning, DD woke up complaining of a sore ear. She had been battling a cold, so my first thought was ear infection. As the morning went on, she said it was getting worse and worse. I was afraid we would have to go to the ER. Well, we called the doctor office, and the answering service paged him. He called back within 10 mins. and agreed to meet us at his office. How nice! Sure enough, she had an infection in both ears! He gave us sample antibiotics for yesterday, so we wouldn't have to get her prescription filled until today. Nice again! He handed me the prescrition and was sending us on our way, when I asked about our copay, and he said "I never charge people on Holidays" SUPER NICE! I explained to DD that not many doctors would even come out on a Holiday, let alone not charge anything! Needless to say, I was very thankful yesterday!

OK....

... I'm BACK from round #1 of Black Friday boxing/shopping insanity with the Boston crowds. COmpared to our stores in our corner of Southern California the folks around West Roxbury (is that where I am?) .... well .... the folks here are positively CRAZY! We had maybe 300 people standing outside of Staples in all this cold weather gear - and at Toys' R Us the store was crawling with 100s of families. Back home at 7AM our Toys R Us had about 15 families wandering the store! However, according to Alicia - the Boston area TRU had greater quantites of the promo items. Which gives rise to my next observation - HOW does she know this is the case?

At any rate - we swung by the house to check on the kids and sort of drop off stuff. My shop-a-holic pal has semi-filled the back half of her brothers' Explorer with "junk"... so we're dropping off a few bags before continuing. And now we see the kids are getting up - so I'm staying back to look after their needs. Alicia will resume her shopping - but she sez fewer things will be available this late in the morning. I'm wacked - and could care less if there were no deals left! Going out at this hour is like going out at 2AM for me. So - I'm also gonna try and rest a little - as shes' coming back after hitting a couple close by stores ... and when she returns she'll probably get breakfast then we're ALL gonna go out to hit Costco and Macys ... or so that was the plan before she left.

She's a shopping nut. And I'm the nut who married her!

Oooo.... I'm soooooo tired.

Extraordinary Deanna!

You've got a super nice doc there!

I say someone who has their priorities messed up. Start with the good stuff then if you have room for other things, maybe have them. Or better yet, have more dessert.

Once in a blue moon, usually in summertime, we will have "dessert for dinner" and take the kids out for sundaes or some other decadent selection

Monica -

- you should be getting something in the mail from me - maybe today if not tomorrow. Let me know that it arriveed OK.

Thanks again!

from your pals Tom & Alicia

Hey, those are my stamps!

We wii this morning.... never quite sounds right.....

Anyway....

WII ALERT!!!!!

Sam's Club had a lot of them in bundle this a.m. with 3 games, 3 controllers and console for 4 and change. They weren't running out quickly like I expected.

If anyone's looking, its worth the trip. Also, you might want to check out this website for tips on finding them on-line

BTW LG, my nickname growing up is also my user name on the CC Board. Have any guesses what it might be??? I had signed up on the CC Board first, a link from that site sent me to the DISboards. Luckily, I changed my user name before signing up on this site!!! :rotfl:

I'll give you a little hint.........the last part of my nickname, is a person's last name in a very popular movie title. Now that shouldn't be too hard to figure out............:rolleyes1

Hint #2........This is a dead giveaway, Tom Hanks played the lead in this movie's title.

Assuming that the persons name is in the movie title:

Saving Private Ryan
Turner & Hooch
Forest Gump
Joe vs. Volcano (Banks was last name)
The Da Vinci Code

And of course in Toy Story there was Andy Davis
