And now for something disturbing.....I just couldn't help myself....I'm in that kind of mood

It's all starting now -- such a magical time of the year and I think the time of the year that NYC shows itself off the best.

I want my next trip to NYC to be during the holidays. I want to go iceskating ans see all the holiday cheer. Enjoy it Julie.:goodvibes

Glad you got what you wanted. We have Meijer stores too and the fine print said they didn't have that many on hand. I'm going to Micheals tomorrow at 6am to get a Cricut die cut machine. Scoped it out last night they have 8!

Tina, I love my Cricut machine. I hope you get one.:)

Downrivermama,

Hope you get the Cricut. I love mine. I have had it for over a year. Got it for my birthday last year. You have to get one of the Disney cartridges. I have the Disny font and the first character one. I use it all the time. Wal Mart has it on sale for $119 with 2 cartridges tomorrow. I am headed to JoAnn's Saturday for their sale. Enjoy your shopping.

Terri, that is a GREAT price. I paid way more for mine a year or so ago.:scared1: :goodvibes

Oh my, I think it's time for a turkey salad sandwich...............:rotfl:

I also have to set my alarm for 4:30 tomorrow morning. I don't know why Angelina said she would be part of the opening team on Black Friday.........:confused3

I've been scouring the Black Friday ads online for a few weeks and have only found 1 item that I want to go get. A small wine refridgerator and there are 3 stores that have them on sale. The cheapest actually requires you to purchase a case of wine. It's not worth it to me, especially since it's not a wine I'm familiar with. This is not a must have gift, its just something I've been wanting, so I'll venture out about 8am or so. If there's one left I'll get it, otherwise I won't be too heartbroken.

Today, I'm about to head out to Kmart. They've got Pepsi on sale and I've run out. And I'll browse the buy 1 get 1 free board games. We won't be eating until 3 and I'm not cooking so I've got time to shop!

I used to love to go K-mart after eating dinner on Turkey day - they closed the local one after they declared bankruptcy and I really miss going there. Now Tarjay gets all my busines.

Hope you got some great bargins in addition to the diet Pepsi.

While Hazel was meeting her siblings at their mother's grave this morning, I was helping myself to a slice on the Pumpkin Cheescake, once again........

We just finished eating dinner, so for all intense purposes, I ate my dessert first today..............:woohoo:

We'll be heading to the movies in about an hour. Here it is Thanksgiving Day, and we have our windows open, it's going up to around 70* today, but it isn't lasting long, tomorrow's high will be in the 40's........:cold:

We only got up into the upper 50's but I still had all the windows open today.

Hope you enjoyed the movie - I really want to see it myself but no one here is interested. I have a feeling that I'll be going to the movies by myself to see it, along with Sweeny Todd when it opens up next month.

I hope everyone really enjoyed their Thanksgiving. Ours went off without a hitch. Now tomorrow starts my Christmas decorating - I can't wait to pull out my Mickey Christmas plates that DH got me last year.

Happy shopping everyone heading out tomorrow - hope you get whatever it is that you're looking for!

Well, I'm off to Big Lots tomorrow morning to get a $25.00 electric blanket and possibly Best Buy for the Las Vegas series DVDs(14.99)

I've been seriously referred to as a bit of an obstructionist - back in the days when most folks had dial up (Wink to Cheryl)... and I've even been thought of as a bit derranged with the long winded posts I used to make (ask Kritter about those) ... so now ... I had to pause in reflection with the notion of posting disturbing images. Thi was something NEW. At first I thought back to the things "I" thought were wierd and had to smile ... this one below being one of many favorites :

CatFlap.gif

So ... yeah ... I assumed it wuz in good fun poking at me about being "disturbed". Like tonite - I paused to show my BIL the posting I made with Alicia holding up the ultrasound of his son - and the first thing he quipped was "that I must have a lot of spare time". I was not really expecting that - especially since I had not mentioned that I had posted 3,000+ entries with images like that here - so I just replied that it didn't take very long to make it ... then I silently thought - well, gee... it must be tough for him to have no free time to engage in whimsical diversions.

Crazy_Lady.gif

I know a lot of folks get pretty busy with thier weekly schedules... as I used to be... and even so, I get pretty busy too sometimes. But, I had to wonder ... am I so different from the average surfer here? I dunn-o. Than after a moment of further reflection - I decided it really doesn't matter. Sometimes - like now when most of the family is asleep or going to sleep ... I take a little time to wander here - as well as with several other sites of interest. And I figure I'm OK doing what I'm doing. It's generally good clean fun. I'm usually not hurting or taking advantage of anyone - except maybe Cheryl when we taunt her about her old dial up line. < wink > I'll just continue doing what I feel like doing - regardless. What I post makes ME smile and chuckle... and if it brings a spat of soft giggling to YOU sometimes ... and especially IF sometimes your spouse or kids end up asking "what are YOU laughing at Mom or Dad?"... then it's worth doing.

Oh well... no offense taken. No worries. And - I hope everyones' holiday is ready for creating a memorable experience in the next few days. And, if nothing else - I ope everyone has a safe and relaxing break over the next few holiday days.

So see... if i didn't post so many image laden postings - i'd be writing these long winded novellas. Take your pick? I find the images afre of more interest to ME - and leave a little more to the imagination sometimes - so in recent months it's been image heavy postings for me! Some even with NO verbage attached!

oK.... I'm gonna go wander backwards to catch up now...

On a final note - as I am thinking I might just drop off to sleep very soon... I'd like to share that today we had a wonderful dinner at a place called Barducchis' (misspelled perhaps)... and an otherwise low intensity day. I head the new baby cry and complain for the first time. Otherwise he's been such a relaxed and quiet critter! He was shapingup to me as one of the most agreeable tikes I had come across in some time! But now that I've heard him cry in complaint - I know he is in fact quite normal.

OK - time to go now...

Adios!

Tom, I think we would rather have you post pictures then the ..."So see... if i didn't post so many image laden postings - i'd be writing these long winded novellas"
:lmao: :lmao:

Tom, when my schedule gets so hectic that I really don't have time to play here ---I really miss it. I am so glad that I found you fine folks and I look forward to August when I get to sail on the Magic again, but this time with a bunch of pirates and wenches that are my friends.

Are we disturbed? I am sure there are some outside this thread that think so, but who cares. I do feel for the people that are intimidated by the sheer size this thread has grown to and I hope they continue to take the plunge and join in the fun (I feel that way on the 5 nighter thread--I just pop in and say hello sometimes) I hope this winter I am able to spend more time over there and get to know some of them better.

We are glad we have you too!!!!:cloud9:

I'm expecting a full review of the movie when you get home Andy! popcorn::

I saw it yesterday and loved it!!! It was just a sweet movie with a happy ending!!! Could be a litttle scary for the young ones.:scared1:

I also saw The Mist!!! It was really good!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just love Stpen King too!!:thumbsup2

Enjoy, we might not have Turkeys left for Christmas due to bird flu.

I wish I could share ours with you.:rolleyes1

Got back from seeing Enchanted a few minutes ago. All three of us enjoyed it, there were a few dark moments that little children could be scared of, but all in all, it was enjoyable. And yes, sappy old me, even got choked-up and misty-eyed in a few spots.

BTW LG, my nickname growing up is also my user name on the CC Board. Have any guesses what it might be??? I had signed up on the CC Board first, a link from that site sent me to the DISboards. Luckily, I changed my user name before signing up on this site!!! :rotfl:

I'll give you a little hint.........the last part of my nickname, is a person's last name in a very popular movie title. Now that shouldn't be too hard to figure out............:rolleyes1

Okay, for us that are a little slow from all the turkey......What is it???:confused3

It was crazy busy. I've been before on TG and it wasn't so bad. But today it was crowded. Not long lines but the parking lot was full and it was hard to manuever the cart around the store. Unfortunately they were out of the games I was interested in. Also looked at some wine glasses, but they didn't have the style I wanted. So all I walked out with was 8 bottles of Diet Pepsi. That should last me a few days at least.

I drove past our Best Buy on my way and there were already about 15 people in line at 10am! Drove by tonight and there's at least 100 in line at 8pm. :sad2:

  :woohoo: :woohoo:   I can just check off my list Best Buy Black Friday shopping!!! I just got DH a Sony Mini DVD Camcorder he was looking at for the TOAL!!! The thought of waiting in line when I just saw I could buy it on line and Free shipping!!! I just saved $140.:yay: I should go to bed now.:cloud9: I am getting up in 4 more hours to get my free J C Penney Mickey Mouse Snow Globe to ad to my collection. I think this makes number 8 Penney's has given out!!!:cheer2:

OK Cheryl.... I'll TRY to knock off of the novella postings... here's another rare image to share - I found it in a place you're least likely to expect it... on my image sharing site!

i435ADF70-41F5-47D1-BD2A-E16FE048C3E9.jpg

OK... as for the BLACK FRIDAY antics... well... tomorrow we have the new baby coming home with my SIL... if her docs check her off as OK to go home. Generally this happens when the medical insurance benefits end (chuckles). AND ... out here in Boston my BIL reminded us that there ius a local zoo with free admission ... and after 5PM the Boston Childrens Museum or was it called a Childrens Exploratorium has an after 5PM special $1 admission rate. This saves us a few dollars - and so we might go there too.

Frankly - I was reluctant to do anything without my sister in law - but then again shes totally immobilized having just had a "C" section - and having the new baby. SO - I guess - it should be OK to spare her the disturbance of us hanging around her place some of the time. Yesterday we missed going to the arboreum to run through the leaves - and just tok our afternoon at a playground. No sweat. It was really relaxing and we heated up a nice Turkey dinner. It was delicious!

SO as I was beginning to say - for BLACK FRIDAY I've settled on taking Alicia EVERYWHERE she wants to go. We have a limited schedule of sorts - and I'm gonna play chauffer - and stand in her lines for her to allow more shopping in less time. That allows her to concentrate on ust doing the "fun" stuff (like shop) while avoiding the not-so-fun stuff ... like standing in line, carrying bags and parking. It's the same drill shes' trained me for after 24 or so years - and I've got my little MP3 player and a magazine ready for tomorrow!

Oh... and do I have ANYTHING on my Black Friday list - well yes - and it is only to do as SWMBO bids me. Is that any kind of a BLACK FRIDAY to do list?

Maybe I'll meet up in chat tonite - strangely from the east coast! Or maybe NOT? We tend to take dinner pretty strictly around 6-8PM... local time - so will this distruptthings? Plus there was mention of hitting that Childrens' Museum after 5PM. So who knows what the day will bring us.

And Cheryl.... what was I saying about novellas a moment ago? ;)

Oh yeah... I can't get over how long the lines get for places like BEST BUY the evening before BLACK FRIDAY. What do they think is going on - a free giveaway of stuff? I'm gonna have to go back and take a 2nd look at what they have on promotion there. Not that I noticed ANYTHING worth scrambling for there the first time I scanned thier ad!

ooo....I missed the electric blankets. May consider stopping by there in the morning.
