We wii this morning.... never quite sounds right.....

Anyway....

WII ALERT!!!!!

Sam's Club had a lot of them in bundle this a.m. with 3 games, 3 controllers and console for 4 and change. They weren't running out quickly like I expected.

If anyone's looking, its worth the trip. Also, you might want to check out this website for tips on finding them on-line

Adam really wants one of these, but I refuse to buy him another game system. The ST took his PS2 and games to GameStop several weeks ago and got credit for it.:sad2: He said he needed some XBox360 games:headache:

Tom, I have been pleasantly enjoying coffee this morning, watching a bit of TV, and chatting on the phone:lmao: :lmao:
Sounds like your diversion this morning was interesting to say the least...:woohoo:

washing_machine_man_75.gif

I feel like I've been through the rinse cycle of a washing machine. That is - while mixed in with a few pairs of boots. Alicia just called to say she found something - a digicam that was a promo item - and asked if I wanted it. I let her down gently and declined her discovery.

She is such a shop-a-holic sometimes. It really cracks me up - and heway she beams when pulling up to the car with a shopping cart full of .... junk. Well.... it's just plain adorable. How can I say anything?

At any rate - it's not all junk. She was picking up a short list of items for her sister in law who is about to be sprung from the hospital today. We had near a thousand diapers in the back of our Explorer ... or if not a thousand - then there were more than I was able to casually count. Plus some other things I generally know nothing about as it was all bagged up.

So... I am beginning to feel like the brusing my body has been through from the 2AM west coast time shopping spree is the sort that I'll recover from .... someday. Earlier (about 90 minutes ago) I felt like I'd NEVER be the same person again. The things ya do fer the ones ya love.... I dunn-o sometimes. :confused3

How are you all gonna slep all this stuff back to California:scared1:

Assuming that the persons name is in the movie title:

Saving Private Ryan
Turner & Hooch
Forest Gump<------------------
Joe vs. Volcano (Banks was last name)
The Da Vinci Code

And of course in Toy Story there was Andy Davis

If I were to guess.... 55

Paula -

- you should send that boy to some entrepreneur classes. Alicia and I took a minor course sequence in entrepreneurship. Not that it didn't teach me anything I didn't pick up from my parents in our furniture business - but it did add meaning, structure and a dash of analysis to our otherwise "flying by the seat of our pants" understanding!

Entrepreneur-Dilbert.jpg

Seriously - as a teen - we might have done the same thing. Well... maybe not Alicia - but "I" might have done so.... <wink> And you can tell Adam he owes me a Mickey Bar (no sprinkles) for pretending to "side" with him on the game trade in thing.

And on another note... Alicia is STILL not back yet. I only sent her to Best Buy and Staples to wander about. it's been over 2 hours now....

If I were to guess.... 55

Looks like you are the winner Tom with a twist. :rotfl2:

Just Found This Thread

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi All,

Just found this thread a few minutes ago. I did sign up on the other thread, but no one posted on that thread since August 25th, I didn't think to look for another thread until tonight, shame on me.

We have 5 in our group. Sailing will be my wife, 17 year old daughter, me, my mom and my mom's friend. We are using this cruise to celebrate our daughter's 17th birthday, also, my wife and I will be celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary on the cruise.

This is our first time sailing on RCI. Our daughter didn't want to go on her high school senior class trip, so she asked if we could take a 4 day cruise instead. She didn't have to ask me twice, LOL!!!

We will be flying to Florida this Saturday, spending the night at my mom's in Lake County. Sunday night, we have reservations at the Radisson in Cape Canaveral, then Monday morning we will be taking the 11:30 shuttle from the Radisson to the port.

I have friends that were on the Sovereign a few months ago for a 3 night cruise, they said they really enjoyed it, that's why we selected the Sovereign. Our past 5 cruises have all been on DCL's Magic.

We aren't packed, but we have most of our clothes ready to put in the suitcases on Saturday morning. We don't leave for the airport until 4pm on Saturday.

Three more work days, then vacation begins, I for one, can't wait!!!

Chrissie they pin point your location from satellites that are stationary over head. Mine Garmin shows I think 11-12 satellites. The unit gets a fix from 3 or more to triangulate (technical term) your position. It does not cost you any thing to connect to them. I have one on my bike that tells me how fast I am going, max speed, elevation, etc.... Most of the time it is very accurate but some times it gives me a weird reading. Last week it had my maximum speed of 162mph. :rotfl2:

Paula, my dear....

.... I'm afraid you're asking the WRONG person as to how all this "stuff" is getting back to California. Of course, from my POV... this is where MY negotiation begins with Alicia as to how it gets home. I'm not exactly sure what I'll "settle" on with her - but I do have some ideas.... <wink>

Oooo..... I think she's back. I'll edit in her replies here - or have her type them in herself. of course, she is likely to see the preceeding comments. And that is OK - as it will prepare her for the opening round of negotiatons.

OK... I asked Alicia just now in YOUR name... she has not seen the preceeding which I wrote. She said:

<chuckling> Gee, I don't know? Boxes??? <chuckling>

I don't think she "gets it" yet. She's taken her indentured servant/part time bellman/spouse for granted perhaps.

So... we'll see....

< wink >

DH and I were watching Rachel Ray's cooking show yesterday morning and she was grating fresh nutmeg. A cook's tip popped up that said "if stored in an air tight container, fresh nutmeg will last forever"........wow, Roger!

Ya, Rachel called last week enquiring about any special tips she could pass on to her viewers about my little nut. :rotfl2:

Thanks!

Is there one brand better than another? Or is it more preferance/price?

The "Tom Toms" are cheapest and popular - but to those in the "know" suppposedly not as good. They only use a max of 5 GPS satillites as opposed to the Garmins (and others) that use 7 to determine thier location. Also - you should be careful as to how they are updated - and what that will cost in the future. Also - the better ones have available the option to subscribe to a traffic advisory service too.

Having said all that - I don;t have one - nor am I all that interested in one (yet). My cousin has one - an expensive one - and it routes him through the long routes to meet me - and my pal borrowed one on our recent trip to yosemite - and it was OK considering we were in the middle of no-where - and were always curious how far / long it would be to reach our hotel. THAT was sort of cool.

So - I bet someone else beat me to reply for you - and probably their insights are superior.

That answers one of my questions. I was looking at the "Toms" ....I was thinking of getting Brendan (Mr tough to get a gift for) one of these. Especially since we will be looking at houses more frequently and we like to do road trips.

Restoration Hardware has a "snowball maker" which seems to be the perfect gift for the person with everything :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm not sure when it became unacceptable to make snowballs with your hands....

Well saves your hands and/or gloves from becoming all wet and cold.
